Nsw: R33 Bc Coilovers
JZP replied to skylinekido's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Hmmm would like, but really need to offload my 32GTR so I can build up my R33 track car. PM me if you are interested in talking price and I might be able to twist 'governor front-bottom's' arm. -
I noticed my heart was racing while watching it.... hoping nothing bad would happen.... but knowing it would. It's a bit like hoping the titanic would miss the iceberg! Your wipers still worked! You can salvage those! Glad to see you guys were OK.

Rb25 Intake Plenum Upgrade - Rb26 Intake Or Ebay Special?
JZP replied to JZP's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Are you saying your China 'special' is working well and is better than stock? -
Rb25 Intake Plenum Upgrade - Rb26 Intake Or Ebay Special?
JZP replied to JZP's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Agreed - no need to waste money. Especially since this is a 'recreational' vehicle (and I'm trying to sell my R32 GTR - which I should have done first!! I need to be careful with the funds for now). I do understand that you also need to spend some money to get decent quality (without being ripped off). The trick is figuring out what is decent versus rubbish. Experience is king, so if you've done it and it works - show me pics! send me links!! -

Rb25 Intake Plenum Upgrade - Rb26 Intake Or Ebay Special?

Did you think I was serious with the 'shiny' comment?? Really? It's a track car ffs. For the record, I'm really after performance. -

Good to see you have had some real world experiences. I see you were also one of the 'originals' that went down this path some time ago. Do you have any pics of your current setup (mabye a link)? I found this on fleabay from a distributor in Tassie (nice and shiny): -
Rb25 Intake Plenum Upgrade - Rb26 Intake Or Ebay Special?
JZP replied to JZP's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
It seems my suspicions were sort of right, might be best to avoid the RB26 plenum. There seems to be heaps of 'shiny' items on ebay.... like anything - buyer beware! Seems to be a bit of a gamble. Do you have an opinion on how the Autobarn one performs?? Any pics/specs you can share? -
Hey, I'm cleaning up my track car front mount intercooler & plumbing. If I'm going to spend some money on undoing the spaghetti plumbing, I've decided that I should have the intake plenum pointing in the right direction to start with. I just need a simple answer to my question: Is it worth the hassle of going down the path of 'making' the RB26 intake plenum fit, or am I better off buying an Ebay special with gaskets, etc? One of the searches I've done on this topic here seems to be a cat fight, so I'd rather a straight up response from someone who's done this before.

What Track Car Would You Buy? - Starting With A Clean Slate
JZP replied to JZP's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
My plans are to put fix the plumbing and FMIC. Then to do the tyres and geometry (control arms, etc). I need to have a look at the brakes, etc. There are heaps of small things that need doing (eg: replace battery, terminals, belts, oils, etc). Tyres are some sort of cheapo rubbish, so they need replacing. I reckon it will take 3-4 weeks to get the car ready (for me). I'll eventually do the cage and cosmetic stuff, but just want to get trackside ASAP. -

What Track Car Would You Buy? - Starting With A Clean Slate
JZP replied to JZP's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Yes, R32. It's got the adjustable arms (front/rear), CF bonnet, Recaro's, cam gears, etc - but this probably isn't the right place to discuss a car for sale. If you look on Carsales and search for XPE089 you'll see a full listing of what's done to the car. I've also had the front bar repainted, so the spot lights are not on the car any more! I'll PM you with my details if you want to discuss further. -

Soooo, I drove to Sydney this past weekend to pick this up... which will be my track only car. Purchased if off a fellow SAU'er. He is an honest bloke and was up front about the condition of the car. Now to start prepping for the track. .... now to sell my R32 GTR - anyone looking for a clean and well maintained Racepace setup car? -

After seeking treatment from Naturopathic and Chinese medicine, I wondered why I didn't consider it earlier. The principles for both diciplines are really similar in approach (not the same). They are simple, and make such sense that I just shook my head in disbelief. I actually got better without even realising it - weeks later I was able to keep food down, not run to the dunny and had energy. I had forgotten about my illnesses. The treatments (eg:Chinese medicine) are simple and include activities such as cupping, massage, acupuncture and herbal remedies (which sometimes taste like crap). That, with changing your diet (eg: try an alternative diet, or stop eating/drinking something) is as simple as it gets. You need to find a decent practitioner. there are always people out there to rip you off too, so the practitioner needs to be good (possibly by referral). Having said that, my current local Chinese medicine doctor studied in China in traditional medicine and also a western hospital before returning to work here (she's an Aussie). If someone is in desparate need, or at a loss - why wouldn't you try it? You are the only person that cares about you (except for possibly your parents or a partner). So invest in yourself and leave no stone unturned. The worst case is you end up taking stuff that tastes like crap and/or you walk around with cup-marks on your back for a couple of days....

Fair Market Price For R32 Gtr
JZP replied to widebody180's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Nah, not the one going for that much - mine is advertised at $16,900. It's silver, but don't want to detract from the original post.... (if you want to see it, just search the vehicle ID on carsales)... -
I spent over a year getting my mysterious gut illness diagnosed as IBS. This included 2 x colonoscopy's (camera up the you-know-what) and heaps of blood tests, etc. Result? They couldn't find a thing and couldn't explain why I was feeling really bad, the considerable bleeding (From the you-know-what), and the inflamed short intestine. 2 doctors were involved in this investigation. Long story short - In desparation I went to a Naturopath and was also treated by Chinese Medicine. Was treated for yeast infection (Chinese medicine) and learnt commonsense dieting (Naturopath and Chinese medicine - eg: milk wasn't good for me, smaller portions of 'natural' food and less coffee & alcohol). Bleeding problem is gone. Discovered the inflamed short intestine was a tight Psoas muscle. Now I know how to better manage my dietary limitations. Now I don't trust modern medicine... The key is a good practitioner.

Fair Market Price For R32 Gtr
JZP replied to widebody180's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I've been trying to sell my 32 GTR for a while on Carsales and there are bugger all queries. (car ID SSE-AD-282156) Like the original query - it's not 'as new', but the car is pretty damn good. Considering it's a Racepace setup car, I'm surprised it hasn't gone yet. I reckon the market is around $15k or less (unless it has some big ticket items, or something really special). -
Is it sold? If not, pm me your details and I'll come have a look on the weekend.
-
The Mitsubishi is a contender. Challenger diesel is capable (based on the Triton ute), but build quality is pretty average.
-
I looked at the Navara and Toyota's and ran screaming from the dealerships for the same reasons you mentioned.
-
Good point. The yanks have been using the new motor for months now so I'm expecting the Aus delivered ones to have any potential bugs ironed out by now. So far I haven't seen any significant issues. I'm pretty sure VM Motori engines were also in the older Jeeps.
