  1. All the information is usefull.... but its a deregistered cefiro that me and my mate have got...its not going to be chasing the fastest of times at the strip...its a car that me and him can take to the friday night drags and have some fun...becuase it cant exactly get street legal here in NZ. I just wanted to do somthing that "i" thought would be cool...but was wondering about the performance etc because i still want a fast car! and about the gt3040....its the turbo i have sitting in my shed...i dont have a couple of grand to spend on a new one...but the gt3040 can still get the job done. that brumby is pretty much what i was going for but just wanted some advice cheers
  2. well were more toying with ideas at the moment....thanks for the info though Lithium, i am going to confess...it would be more for looks....but wondering what would happen if i did it, but yea taking the headlight out would work just as good
  3. Ywah a pod on it would be a good idea i think too... Do you guts think id still need an intercooler? or would it be possible to keep a standard rb25 intake manifold and just hav a pipe running straight off the turbo and into that as it would be like 2 feet away from each other for better response because of way less piping....or will it make no difference?
  4. Yea i get that big drag cars mainly do it because of the size of the turbo is too big to be stuffed anywhere....but does it provide any negative performance gains or any positive ones? thats mainly what i want to know
  5. Hey guys, Me and my mate have been working on our rb30det dedicated drag cefiro....all the engine work is pretty much half completed, just bolting all the outside stuff on etc to go, But me and my mate had a cool thought ( and is more likely to be a stupid one!)....what if we had a custom top mount manifold that stuck the turbo high out of the bonnet so it always gets cold air...not bothering with any cold air intakes/boxs etc and we were already going to buy an expensive manifold so we dont get cracks later on down the road, But would having a turbo sticking out of the bonnet such as a gt30/40...would the on coming air while your driving cause it to lag because the air rushing at it can slow down the turbine? or would it not affect it? or would it run any better having cold air going through and more air? (even tho i know its more for looks then anything ) Iv seen some proper decked out drag cars that do the same with their turbos...but there expensive engines and the turbo is probly on boost from the very beginning, Any thourghts would help! thanks guys
