  3. Right, time to get some expert help here. Ive got a r33 series 1 factory manual rb25det with a poddie, boost tap running 7 psi, split downpipe to a 3 inch straight threw. I need to upgrade the ecu because the standard ecu isnt letting me boost 10psi or over. So what to get? i have read a lot about link and power fc. And really like the sound of how the power fc works. I want to know what will be the best for my car out of any ecu you can get? I want to run 11psi. Or what other options do i have? Cheers guys!
  4. haha ive run a aftermarket boost gauge where the standard one is hooked in to so its a real acurate reading. but what do you mean by that?
  5. so i have a standard bov, poddie, 3inch exhaust off the downpipe, turbotech boost tap, heavy duty dsr coils and new spark plugs. runs absolutely mint at about 8 or 9 psi but doesnt want to go over it. hit 10 psi and its feels like the car stops accelerating but its still sucking hardcore and just not boosting! its standard smic it probly has something to do with the ecu but ive reset it and still doesnt want to go over 10psi everyone help me out on this please

  7. its the turbotech one. and its just the boost tap and the standard solenoid isnt connected so its all set up properly
  8. ok so heres the update got the standard bov on there and its working but have still got the aftermarket one on there just to block off the hole for the moment. doesnt want to run over 10 psi again. im wondering if its the intercooler thats not letting it boost properly?
  9. ok so now ive reset the ecu and turned the boost up to about 11 to 11.5psi and it loves it but still kinda flat spots slightly. bov not working but just bought a second hand mint condition factory bov so will put that on. i cant block off the aftermarket bit on the pipe so could i just leave the bov on and block the vac bit off and run the vac line off the standard bov? so il have 2 bovs but only one will be releasing the air and the other one will just be blocking the pipe off. could that work? and it wont take more then 12psi boost ether as it just flat spots the whole way so im thinking this is the side mount at its max and need a front mount? help please cheers
  10. the bov has been fully adjusted both ways and still no go..... ive taken it apart and pushed it up with my fingers and it feels fine.

  12. its the turbotech valve that everone was talking about. it seems really good but i guess thats what just happens.. and not sure about the spring i got the car as it is now. it also delays when the car isnt heated up to full temp. even half throttle it sucks heaps of air but doesnt go anywhere.
  13. it just feels flat as f**k! and not coils because they are new heavy duty dsr ones and new plugs aswell. yes the blue and red hoses are joint to eachother via the metal crap because i dont have a hose big enough to join straight to the manifold yet haha. also its creeping up to about 9 and a half psi in second but in 1st its about 8? so whats up with that? thanks for the help guys keep it coming!
  14. HERE IS A PICTURE OF MY VACUM SETUP AND THE BOV AND WHERE MY BOOST TAP IS. THE PROBLEMS ARE.... 1. MY BOV ISNT WORKING? IVE CHECKED IT AND IT SEEMS FINE.. 2. IT DOESNT LIKE BOOSTING 10 OR MORE POUND. IT MAKES ALL THE RIGHT NOISES WHEN ON FULL THROTTLE BUT DOESNT BOOST ITS LIKE FLAT SPOTTING THE WHOLE WAY UNTIL ABOUT 6000RPM THEN GOES HARD BUT ITS TOO LATE! 3. THE CARBON CANISTER IS BROKEN SO I HAVE REMOVED IT BUT NOT EXACTLY SURE WHERE TO RUN THE LINES INTO THE PLENUM SO I HAVE JUST LINKED THEM INTO EACHOTHER? ITS A FACTORY R33 GTS25T MANUAL WITH ONLY A SPLIT DOWN PIPE AND 3 INCH STRAIGHT THROUGH EXHAUST. PLEASE HELP IT IS SOOOOOOO FRUSTRATING!
  15. no its a after market bov but its mounted on the pipe after the j pipe so looking to go front mount and put it on the standard bracket instead. im gona get new poddie aswell and see if that helps. but ran it on 9psi last night and absolutely loved it. went hard on full boost by 3000rpm and pulled all the way. so i think it has somthing to do with a vac leak somewhere. how do i re map it? do i just reset the ecu? thanks for this help mate
  16. nope just put in heavy duty dsr ones ae. before the boost controller went in. it runs mint on the standard soleniod and 9psi on bc but doesnt like anymore then that. but my BOV doesnt work so i think theres a vacuum problem with my car. but still doesnt explain the boost tho.... it runs good otherwise. new plugs aswell. im just stumped on this issue now
  17. HAY THERE. I JUST GOT MY BC AND ITS GOING WELL EXCEPT IT MAKES A BIG SQUEAKING SOUND. IVE GOT A R33 FACTORY 25DET MANUAL AND HOOKED IT BACK UP TO THE STANDARD SOLENOID AND NO MORE SQUEAK . SO THE BOOST CONTROLLER IS MAKING THE SQUEAK AND I THINKS ITS FROM THE HOLE IN IT. PLUS IT DOESNT WANT TO BOOST OVER 10PSI. IT HAS A FLAT SPOT THE WHOLE WAY TILL ABOUT 6000RPM AND THE STANDARD SOLENOID IS UNPLUGGED. ITS HOOKED UP TO THE PLENUM AND THE ACTUATOR BUT DOES EXACTLY THE SAME THING WHEN HOOKED BETWEEN THE ACUATOR AND THE VALVE OFF THE INTERCOOLER PIPING. SOME ONE HELP ME OUT ITS REALLY ANNOYING ME!
