  1. SOLD TODAY. LOCK THREAD PLEASE
  2. since price has been dropped prefer NSW sale please guys. thanks
  3. hey mate, i havent organised a road worthy cert for it. im not exactly sure what you would need for it in victoria. it would need the horn fixed, one of the headlight motors is a bit sticky sometimes, so they might not like that, and depends what their take on pod filters and loudish exhaust are. the pods and exhaust are the only mods, but im not sure of victorian rules on those thing. cheers mate. price drop 15, 500 as is pretty firm
  4. make some offers guys, prefer local sale can willing to help organise interstate transport. i've found a car im after to tow the boat for summer so would like to sell this soon. cheers
  5. home from holidays now. car is available for inspection again
  6. nah not really open to trades at the moment. want to get something a bit more practical and cheaper to insure for the moment and im pretty picky with what i get so would prefer a straight cash sale.. i can definately see myself getting another r34 in the next 18 months or so though
  7. bump on holidays from tomorrow until next week, should still be able to reach my mobile.
  8. cheers mate. they do handle really well and even very close to stock its still a quick car. will be sorry to see it go keep the offers coming guys, cheers
  9. this badge only came out on the earlier fd models and only on the jap imported cars, the australian ones had the different badge like a number 8, same as on mx-6. and i think the series 7's and 8's started using the normal mazda badge
  10. update put the car into the mechanic the other day and got the spark plugs changed, running really well now the coolant alarm going off was found to be due to a very slow leak out of the water pump. not an urgent fix just requires it to be checked once a week or so. will take this into account if negotiating price if it is not yet fitted with a new one at time of sale. i go away next week so best contact will probably be by email if you have any question [email protected] cheers guys, had several offers but not quite what im after
  11. bump going away soon and would like to sell before i go. keep the reasonable offers coming cheers guys

    Help!

how long have you owned the car for? if you havent had the car very long the complaint was probably made about the car before you bought it...i got stung with this. sounds like its the same deal as a deccw anti tampering and decibel test. if it is you should only have to change the front mount, exhaust and BOV...and pod filter if you have one. some exhaust places loan out stock exhaust for test like these which saves you the trouble of fitting it yourself..might be a better option. does it have a list of places you can take it to? i had to go to one at campbletown and it wasnt too bad.
  14. few pictures i took today. can see on the front left corner of the car where the mark in the paint is. forgot to mention. car is registered till june 2012. brand new front tyres and good tread on rears..just had full service a couple of hundred k's ago i will get the aircon re gassed as well before summer time. cheers guys. message me if you have any questions.
  15. Hey guys. decided i am going to downgrade a bit due to buying a house. Has been my dream car for years but cannot afford to keep it at the moment unfortunately. Not in a hurry to sell so am not interested ridiculous offers and please keep any negative comments to yourselves, thanks. It is a black 5 speed manual '94 model, with just on 80,000 on the clock. Car is almost completely standard, except for turbo back exhaust system with varex muffler and twin apexi pods. Comes with 19" starcorps with heaps of dish on the rears. fit really well and show off the slotted rotors and calipers which have been painted red. also has a heavy duty clutch installed by previous owner just before i bought the car. It has had the standard series 6 rear spoiler removed and the holes are just plugged at the moment as i have a series 8 rear spoiler that i was going to put on but havent got into painted yet. Interior is in good condition and the exterior is in pretty good condition for its age. Has a few minor marks, stonechips etc. Like most cars of its age it has a few small problems which i dont have time to fix. These are: - tacho works intermittently. apparently caused by a lose connection - has a squeak coming from the rear of the car when you are on a bumpy road or going up a driveway. needs a rear swaybar bush to be changed to fix it. - when you start the car after it has been sitting for several hours it has an alarm come on to say you need to add coolant. it only stays on for 30 seconds or so but i just find it a bit annoying. this is a common problem in this series rx-7 and is just an issue with a sensor. - has a spot on the front bar where the paint is cracked so it needs to be resprayed i have only owned the car for a bit over 6 months and have not used it very much at all. just short trips to and from work mainly. It is a great head turning car. sounds really tough and looks very tidy. it is also pretty quick for an almost stock car. would love to spend the time and money fixing up the problems but i would rather spend it on the house at the moment. As ive said price is negotiable due to the couple of small problems. will ad pics tomorrow after ive given it a wash. contact by pm on here or 0402630053 (prefer sms due to poor reception in our area) car is located near Windsor, NSW $17, 500 negotiable
  16. lol that sounds like a horrible weekend...have to be really careful with making sure ur rego is up to date because they will usually always get you for it, even if its just a day over. i assume because you wont have ctp on your car once your rego has expired?? hope ur mate doesn't get in too much trouble anyway.
  17. where abouts are you located mate? there is a place in richmond, western sydney that i was going to get to do the steering rack on my silvia. i think they are called APS, can check if you want. i think they have a lot of reconditioned commodore ones and stuff that they just straight swap in so its a lot cheaper, but if you want to get an import or something done they wanted a bit more money. that was a year or so ago now though.
  18. even stock turbo cars have a blow off valve. so they are not illegal to have on your car. is it an aftermarket one? i'm pretty sure even an aftermarket blow off valve would be legal as long as it is all plumbed back into the system and not venting into the atmosphere. i didnt think there was a law about how close your tyres are to your guards either. i though you had to have a minimum level of clearance on the bottom of your car (100mm) in NSW i think. it might have different springs on standard shock which would lower the height? not 1005 sure on ride height laws..its probably different in every state..might have to confirm with someone from WA
  19. +1 for windsor exhaust. really good people and pretty fair pricing. might be worth a call to them their number is 45885533 try and talk to russell
  20. hey charles...i only had 3rd party on my GTT and it turned into a shit fight. and being in above average condition like mine was you will always feel like ur being ripped off if anything happened when u only have 3rd party and it has to go through someone elses insurance....since iv got the rx-7 i decided to go comprehensive this time, just makes you feel a lot safer when you drive it and leave it anywhere. you've spent a fair bit of time and money on your car so id definatly go comprehensive and like you said skyline theft seems to be happening a lot. everytime i come on here there is another thread about someones skyline being stolen
  21. i will try and find a picture of my actual one, as it had plastic chrome hubcaps, but this ones is close enough...owned by my brother on his p's then me before being put to rest by an idiot my dad gave it to. Still by far the most reliable car i've ever owned sadly enough.
  22. they look like the factory ones. if they are i got a replacement set from a guy on the forums, but i think he sells them through an ebay business now. worked out a lot cheaper then replacement ones through an auto parts store.
  23. congratulations mate, drive safe and enjoy the cruise on the weekend!
