  12. yes you need a tool called a noid light i dont know if thats how you spell it to see if the injectors are getting a signal or you can use a automotive stethoscope and listen to the injectors themselves to see if they are firing.

  17. Swap for a gq patrol 33 muddies, 4 inch lift on lpg with head done not long ago and 6 months rego ???
  18. Could be the non return valve in the fuel pump dumping the fuel in the line back to the tank. Ford falcon have these issues and its taking awhile to build fuel back up into the rail maybe you could always put the fuel line off to the rail to see if there is any fuel in the lines straight away.
  19. cheers thought so i am kidda clutching at straws to find the problem other than turbos lol i didnt plan on spending $3000 upgrading them i will post up comp test results tomorrow
  20. Yeah it could be that just pull a coil pack out with a plug in it and turn it over to see if you have spark. But if it dose not crank easily i be leaning towards the electrical side of things with the starter motor.
  21. Do you have a multi meter. If so check the voltage drop on the battery it shouldn't drop below 9.5 volts. if thats ok check the voltage drop onto the starter motor itself by testing the voltage at the starter main power feed wire and the earth on the battery. It could be as simple as a lose earth or power cable.
  22. Hi all trying to rule out all other possibilities on why my gtr is blowing bluey grey smoke. At the moment all signs are pointing to the 18 month old hi flowed turbo's. How ever before forking out the $2400 for my 2860-5's i want to check that it could be a simple thing as the pvc valve or blow by valve as some people call it. Where is it located on the rb26 is in on the inlet side of the head connected to the tappet covers and it should be able to be blown through one way only if i am correct ?. I can rule out valve stems seals to a certain extant to the amount of oil in the turbo compressor housing and as valve steams would leak directly into the combustion camber. I will be doing a compression test tomorrow night to make sure it is not excessive blow by as well due to worn piston rings from the previous owner being a moron and driving the car for so long on a run in tune. Any other ideas or checks that people can think to do would be appreciated. cheers scottie
  23. dose it jump start ok ???? if so check the charge rate on the battery with a multi meter. It should read read about 13.7 volts with all accessories on and lights. Than charge the battery and test it if is stuff could have a dead cell in the battery
  24. I would be in if my god damn turbos didnt shit themselves
