hey guys, great to know that the car's okay, and most importantly, that the driver's not hurt at all.
yeah, regarding us not stopping, i regrouped with the rest of the boys down the bottom (i was lagging due to my horrible horrible stock SUV suspension, and award-winning brake fade) and the decision behind not stopping was that, because it was near the 20km/h corner (into another tight right hander iirc), that with the 4 or 5 nissan guys grouped together with hazard lights on, it'd be dodgy for us to find anywhere near there to stop, what with the tightness of that section of road, and given that the SUV's were coming out in all their oblivious, unaware, stubborn ''i-dont-know-the-dimensions-of-my-car-so-i'll-stick-to-the-middle-of-this-tiny-mtn-road" force.
our frontman had radio'd through to the rest of the pack not to stop because it was just not an accommodating road- would have done more harm than good, and atleast we knew that there were a bunch of nissan guys so they'd have had the situation under control.
pretty lame, i know, but one of the boys had already got damage to his front bar because a woman in a frigging patrol was driving with about 2 feet of bitumen still to go on the passenger side, forcing him into a large stick on the grassy shoulder.
and i know what you mean, nismoid- atleast with our cruise, i've now got warped stock discs (doesnt matter too much as ive got bigger brakes going on next week), my brakes were smoking worse than my diesel exhaust under acceleration, and my front tyres have gone from just fine, to close to the wear indicator. hardly the result of a ''cruise''.
cheers guys!
p.s. rbpowa ignis look effing SWEET with mad poke.
i really want a daihatsu ''tanto''. just came back from japan a fortnight ago, and they are SO sick. 47kw of fury might not be much, but for a daily low-n-slow, oh hell yes.
