Hi fellow rb30de(t); I got into contact with Scat and I was wondering if anyone be interested in a group buy for SCAT RB30 forged h-beam rods, for a discounted with them?

gotcha! i should do the math first. the 300zx rods is 1.8mm longer than the rb30 (6") rod. even with the combination of the 300zx rods w/ the rb25det pistons it still protrude above the deck. hmm...a thick headgasket may solve it. the availability of the 300zx here in he States are abundant and so cheap. the GM SBC rods option is also dirt cheap: 250.00USD (266.010 AUD); make this also a nice option i'm itching to dive into.

not sure if this will q be beating a dead horse or not but here goes: any of you experts consider using the 300zx (z32) rods ? please share your thoughts on this.

hey guys; would a 1.193" piston compression height be too high in combination with a rb25de head??

do you guys know if valve springs made for the RB26DETT fit and work properly on the rb25de head, i will be using this head for my rb30 setup?

need a favor: any of you guys have either CP or Arias pistons for your setup, would you post the number engraved on the underside of the piston?

VHR32: Are these parts number off Arias catalog or is it a custom job part number?? I was looking over Arias current catalog and these numbers are not on the list.?!?

thanks guys, i dug through this large thread and found one that has comparisons on different specs and brand of pistons for this setup. looks like CP or Arias will be the better route.

PISTONS: i want to clear this up, if I use weisco rb25det pistons, what compression should i order, of the shelf version, suggestions?

that's what he told me also. the t306 is a 23mm belt, not sure how it measure up to the 25mm ones??~!? anyone care to chime in on this

i meant the oil feed vct port bottom side of the head, do you guys welded it shut??

did you have to weld shut the oil feed port on the block, and did you modified the coolant port on the block to match the r33 rb25 head?

that plenum is a Jun knock off, and it's can be found on Ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140022973792). please don't mistaken with the real Jum intake. these are very horrible, look inside the ports: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...st&id=54165

i'm picking up a complete r32 rb25de motor with transmission for a great price. i want to upgrade my rb20det, with the rb25de i've acquired. of course i will be putting in forged pistons & con-rods and lowering the compression ratio to around 8.5:1 or 8.7:1....for turbo setup. i'm asumming since it's an r32 rb25de, it will have some similaries with the rb20det, like intake manifold, exhaust manifold, sensors, etc. i like to verify parts interchangability with the r33 rb25det and r32 rb20det. before i start purchasing parts. rods, pistons....etc? thansk for any input. dan
