  1. Don't touch tradecarview, apparently it's dodgey. Go look up reviews on it.
  2. Coming from a guy with an NA R32 (with R33 RB25DE S2 engine), they seem pretty rugged and manouverable, more suited for tracks. As the strong points are weight, size, and wheel base. Even then, the R34 is equipped with better LSD and tech? (unsure) so lap times should be similar. Also the new engine has more torque. Fuel wise I can get about 9-10L/100km with a bit of dose every now and then. So the refined RB25DE Neo should get a bit better. Comfort wise i doubt it's as good as an R34, even the interior should be falling apart slowly by now. However i do like the seats as you can adjust the sides to hold you firmer. You should be able to find a clean R34 MUCH easier than an R32, let alone a non turbo one, furthermore a 2.5L. Also with an R32 you will need either lots of time or money to fix whatever screws up as it is considered an old car. All these points indicate an R34 is a better choice for you.
  3. Just went around asking and getting quotes on how to quieten down the car a bit. Apparently a turbo makes an exhaust a bit quieter, which kinda explains my noise. But then again i am using stock R33 RB25DE extractors and up-pipe they are 3 inch. Catback is also 3 inch. Looked at 3 muffler shops, 2 of them said that adding resonators or mufflers in the middle won't decrease the sound, so they offered to make a custom exhaust (2.5" catback) comprising of resonators topped off with a muffler and tip. ~$400 1 of them said that adding a hotdog (resonator) will decrease the sound a bit . They offered to either add the resonator or change my cannon to a Magnaflow muffler with a tip. $450. Pretty confused now...
  4. Blue looks unique, don't see it around much on R34s.
  5. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...RK%3AMEWAX%3AIT The inlet diameter is too small on the muffler (2.17") so i was wondering if an exhaust could correct it to 2.5" or even 3"? Thanks.
  6. Calling my R32 a 'dirty 2' Just cause i didn't wash it...
  7. Yup, Remus also make for VWs. Yeah, a lot of people seem to like Kakimoto here with comments like 'sounds like tits' LOL ALRIGHT, after more hours of searching i have divised a plan, and that includes anyone else with sound level issues! The solution is buy a muffler and strap it on. Original idea from this thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...p;hl=Nismo+Ne-1 Muffler from this site, located in NSW, but if you are in Victoria, Sabbadin Automotive will do this for you: http://www.smb.net.au/ovalmufflers.htm According to the thread, this muffler will keep your flow to almost the exact same level but quieten down the noise.
  8. Entirely correct. It is the hoons that choose the car they drive. Not that i can say anything, was going 110km/h today in 100km/h zone. But then again, the more power a car has, the more you want to squeeze it.
  9. You'll want a VTEC Honda exhaust then. LOL jokes. Apparently some 5Zigen exhausts do that, that's why a lot of Honda's use them, so i'm told.
  10. Hey, was reading a book by Carroll Smith called 'Drive To Win'. Very interesting read although i'm still on the first chapter. He talks a lot about racers that do it for fun and racers that devote their life to it, making it a full time job. Just wondering if there is any here, or anybody who does it for fun but still get money out of it. Very interested. Thanks.
  11. Actually, in the NA world (of P plate cars specifically), the Supra is up there somewhere, but nowhere near 5 second 100s.
  12. Yup, he did 2 runs. First was fail. Also i think the Dodge coulda gotten a slightly faster time if he had his fuel tank to almost empty, knowing Americans and their massive fuel tanks.
  13. Hey guys, just on Youtube and stumbled across a video with a Supra doing 0-100km/h in 5.5 seconds (timed it myself as well. Doesn't seem possible as R32 GTS-Ts have 160kW (same as Supra) but are almost 200kgs lighter and can only pull in the mid 6s. I'd say it was downhill or something.
  14. LOL, that's probably the same noise level as mine right now. Just got a complaint today by neighbour Really needs to go. Here is a video of my exhaust noise (lot louder in person): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8jUQaBobyY
  15. Sounds confusing :S, best take it to one of them AC specialists.
  16. White or black were the only decent colours in the selection. I went with white. Seems to suit it more.
  17. Just buy a Nissan double DIN adaptor from Autobarn for roughly $15 if i recall correctlt. then plug that to the back of your headunit. EDIT: might not work with factory headunit...
  18. Just incase somebody is interested: moondog 02-04-2004, 01:31 PM R32 right through to R34 (and no doubt those that came before as well) are pretty nose-heavy, with a big cast-iron boat anchor of an engine sitting in the front. That's why the V35 has an alloy block sitting further back (easier to do, since it's a V6 not inline); it has a 52-48 F to R weight distribution. (Dunno which he is talking about; the R32 or the V35...) Source: http://www.automotiveforums.com/t183766.html
  19. Hey bro, got any pictures of the back of your car or the exhaust/muffler itself? Would be sweet! All that comes to mind is Apexi N1: Also what would you rate the exhaust out of 10 including all factors such as sound quality and performance? Thanks.
  20. Hey dude, i know Dandy Exhausts will make custom mandrel bent (whatever that is) extractors for you for roughly $500 - $600.
  21. Apparently you can spray some WD40 and leave for an hour or 2, then try.
  22. Just so i don't have to make another thread, does anybody know the weight distribution for an R32 GTS-T then? Thanks.
