Hey guys, i recently bought an Exedy Sportstuff HD clutch kit for my R32 RB25DE thinking that it would last longer than the OEM that is almost worn out from the previous owner (clutch is from a RB20 GTS-T). When i gave the clutch to my mechanic to install, he said that jsut because it has the words 'heavy duty' doesn't mean it lasts longer than the OEM clutch, all it does is bite harder or increase grip strength. Needless to say i was faced. So does the HD clutch really last the same as the normal clutch? By the way jsut as an incentive for answers, Northern Brake and Clutch sells the clutches at warehouse prices (North Melbourne VIC though), but you gotta call them up and not fall for their EBay prices. Got my Exedy Sports Tuff HD clutch kit for $370 (they also gave me a free cap and the aligner tool or something). http://northernbrakeandclutch.com.au/

Hold on, i think there is an important hint here we are ignoring... (by the way i was calculating 60L, 5L remaining for pussying out and stopping at the nearest petrol station )
-
Did i just calculate 24L/100km? If so that's just LOL. Try get a service. Clean air filter, replace spark plugs, clean/replace AFM at the least
-
I see, thanks!
-
Thanks. I reckon they look awesome, especially with the Nismo logo to add some 'genuineness'. Not only that but they look damn comfortable to grip (not mentioning you're gonna use this multiple times everytime your drive). Also how much did you get that one for if you don't mind me asking? And LOL @ the 'Jap-lish' comments.

Loud n clear now. Thank god you're on this forum...

Ahhh thanks. Hmmm, i'm using the R33 ECU and hopefully trying to match it with the correct AFM. So i guess the R33 AFM is the only way out...
-
So....anymore group buys?
-
Hey, i was wondering which AFM an R33 uses? Would it be the same as other models (R32 and R34)? Stock R33 non turbo engine but no AFM yet

For me is the Mongoose M80. Called up Stylyn Audio in VIC (http://www.stylyn.com/ Stylyn- Focal, MB Quartz, RockFord Fosgate, Alpine, ALARMS etc 268 Dorset Rd, Boronia - (03) 9739 8866) They quoted me $250 for that specific alarm in my specific car (R32 GTS-T) (including remote central locking). $600 providing the alarm for me. Still a bit of a shame cause found the alarm cheap here ($250) and this doesn't come with some accessories: https://www.caraudiowarehouse.com.au/2010/i...products_id=107

What's Considered A Decent Spring Rate?
TurboDoseBro replied to GTRPowa's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
What does F:10kg R:8kg feel like compared to F:8kg R:6kg? -
I'll attempt to save your coins; go google some pictures you like etc and then try replicate them with your own car.

Not too bad bro, $84.56 delivered to VIC Melbourne (7-10 days). jcp_direct from Japan on EBay 1313 star rating 100% positive feedback, $81.88 delivered (5-7 days). Should be a good reference to people also interested
-
Yeah i would agree Just Jap is good, but they are charging $120 delivered for the knob when on RHD Japan they charge $62 delivered (pity they don't have white in stock).

How the hell do you distinguish between genuine and fake Nismo Duracon shift knob? Was about to buy one for $35 total on EBay (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT) thought it was wholesale price. Luckily e-mailed the guy 2x beforehand. yes, 99% real, high quality, Picture in kind. ----- Original Message ----- From: Victor Lao To: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, May 19, 2010 11:42 AMSubject: RE: Nismo Shift Knob Nissan Z33Z32300SX GTR R33R34 N14 W So it's real yep? If it helps here's the site for the tyres: Silverstone Evol8 (Silverstone also makes racing tyres, in different section) (This is the sporty version of road tyres they offer) http://www.silverstone.com.my/#1274413439156 Hero Milanza HZ1 (Doesn't have their own official site) http://www.chapelcornertyres.com.au/hero.html http://www.chapelcornertyres.com.au/files/DataMilanzaHZ1.pdf Thinking of getting the Milanza HZ1s as daily drive and maybe some semi slicks for track use only EDIT: By the comparison of Hero Milanza HZ1 and Atlanta AR01, i might have gotten mixed up as the HZ1 is 260 tread wear and AR01 is 420 tread wear (both still road tyres).

Hey guys, i am currently finishing up on a R33 RB25DE conversion on my R32 GTS-T. The only part missing now is the AFM, i've heard that people with moderate modifications use the Z32 AFM, so what does a normal, stock R33 RB25DE use? Can i get this from a wrecker or do i have to buy it new? Thanks. My uncle who is helping me with the conversion says that the R32 RB20DET airbox and AFM is different to the R33 one.

Isn't House Of Kolor or something near the city? Probably overpriced though, i don't know.
-
Hey guys, how much do you think it is to get an alarm installed considering you provide the full kit? Located in VIC but i guess prices should be pretty average in other states and depending on the company too. Car is bare right now Thanks.

"http://www.stylyn.com/ Stylyn- Focal, MB Quartz, RockFord Fosgate, Alpine, ALARMS etc 268 Dorset Rd, Boronia - (03) 9739 8866" (Local Wreckers And Workshops thread) Just called the number and got a quick quote cause didn't know much about alarms lol. Said he was doing one on a Subaru Liberty at the time and could do one for me for $599 (doesn't sound too cheap for some reason heh).
-
You know hteres such thing as http://www.wheelweights.net/ and the weight is all in kg for each wheel. Even has the weight for stockies
-
Well then does he install the Mongoose alarm with 3 point immobilizer, alarm, supersonic sensor, battery back up siren? Or is there a better one he does? (Quote from Stylyn audio: $599 installed)

What if we didn't go to this Ben guy (which i'm very sure he's good from the feedback)? What other alarm electricians are out there with good pricing and worksmanship? Surely in this broad topic you can't JUST advertise Ben...
