Took the wheels off today to have a look, couldn't see anything unusual, though I'm no expert in the area. Should i be taking it to someone to get checked out properly, or just leave it, see if it gets any worse?

No clicking, and yes I've done turns on full lock in both directions; haven't noticed anything unusual.

Hi all R34GTT stock standard Lately I've been experiencing a vibration/judder through the steering wheel when going around a corner and applying power. Doesn't matter how fast I turn in, only happens when I apply decent power while still having some steering lock on. Only noticed it turning right, though that could just be thats the main situation it happens (roundabouts etc). It can be pretty significant. I'm not sure whether or not it's just the wheels skipping from understeer or something else (worse). The car doesn't understeer significantly. Now, I haven't changed anything on the suspension or wheels, don't remember hitting anything hard, no noise/knocking at full lock at any speed, tyre pressures are all even, 35 psi. Any ideas/thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated. Cheers

There's a lot of teams using the CBR600RR, that would be one reason to choose it, the amount of knowledge around. Not sure what the difference is in terms of performance. Remember you have to run a restricter, which completely changes any torque curves and anything else to do with performance.

But a crap racer.

If you're using the fuel pressure to adjust the amount of fuel going in, how are going to put relatively more fuel in at 3k rpm than 4k, to account for different resonance effects perhaps?

So TyresBro, what engine/drivetrain you using this year? Are you going to comp at the end of the year?

Apparently you've never compared the torque and power curves for a car, where often torque will start decreasing near the top end, while power continues to increase.

I've just noticed my car is misfiring at idle. Every second or so I guess, I can feel it sitting in the car. Sounds fine, seems to drive fine, doesn't seem to do it on boost. I think there's a vacuum leak somewhere, I can hear a hissing noise around the front of the plenum, could that cause it? Or is it normal? Idle speed is around 700 RPM. Doesn't really hunt for it either. R34 GT-T. Stock standard. Cheers

Think I found what it is. The had a look at the fan, and there seems to be a fair amount of play in it. You can visibly see it vibrating when it's running, so it's probably that. I'll take it off and run it again to see if it goes away when I get a chance. Cheers

We chipped a bit off one of the ridges while taking it out. It's only the light stuff, it probably weighs 20 grams, which we didn't think would make a difference to the balance of something that weighs many times more. Also thought if it was that it would be noticeable when revving it stationary. Could that be it?

It only seems to do it under load as well.

I just changed my timing belt, idler and tensioner pulleys. It runs fine, and sounds fine at idle, but over about 4, 4.5k RPM there's a significant humming noise and vibration. What could it be? Is it normal for a belt to make that noise when it's new? It's just a normal nissan belt. The only other thing I can think of is the tension being wrong, but we spent a while doing it, and my mechanic mate reckoned it was alright. Suggestions? Cheers

I'd be surprised if the wasn't a thread on this already, but I can't find it. So what's your favourite road to drive on in Perth? Talking about places close to the CBD, that you can do with an hour or two handy. Mine at the moment would probably be the roads around Barbagallo in wannaroo, always good fun.

They'd probably just walk in the direction you're going to pull you out of the tree.
