  1. I think he was referring to the fact that it's LHD.
  2. Spotted the other night, a black R34 around Queanbeyan heading to Red Hill i think. Then last night a red R31 four door, looked stock from the back but it was pretty quick. Gave the driver a thumbs up at the next lights.
  3. My fuel gauge does funny things and goes up and down a fair bit. Best way to tell for me is the number of kays i've done, and how many litres the car takes at the bowser.
  4. I displayed P's for over a year and never got pulled over once. unlucky i guess?
  5. Depends on the kid! If they seem like responsible drivers, sure! It's one less thing to worry about, but i'd do what my parents did, once the car is bought every other expense is their responsibility. Rego, insurance, petrol, servicing etc. They can't manage their money to keep the car on the road, they don't drive it. simple.
  6. I had a good one the other day. I came out of a sidestreet and admittedly, i didn't check properly for traffic to my left and pulled out a little too close to a Honda CRV (which, was doing at least 80 in a 60 zone anyways) it wasn't like they had to slam on the brakes, but they really didn't take it to well. To get back at me, this tool floors it, crosses DOUBLE LINES infront of oncoming traffic coming up to a roundabout, and tries to cut infont me. There's already a car infront of me. I had to slam the brakes on to let them in, otherwise they would have ploughed into a median strip and 'Keep Left' sign at about 80-100km/h. I'm a firm believer two wrongs don't make a right. I made a stupid decision, but this woman had her kids in the car on the way to McDonalds. If i'd been a prick and not let them in, they could have potentially died, they were cutting it THAT close just to get back at me. IDIOTIC. So, i made a point of cruising past their car when they parked and copying down the rego. They better hope i don't run into them again or they will cop an earful.
  7. I almost went into the side of someone the other day. It's a three lane intersection, far left lane to turn left ONLY (plus turning light on traffic lights) other two lanes to go straight ahead. I'm the first car on the left to turn. I see the car next to me rolling forward while the lights red, trying to pre-empt it. Both lights go green, i take off only to see this dick CUT INFRONT OF ME to turn left. WTF!? They knew i was there! I got straight on the horn, then proceeded to scream past them, wheels spinning and all. (stupid, i know, but i was pissed) I think i scared them cause they pulled straight over. I was so tempted to stop and abuse them, but i was late for work as it was
  8. I know if i rear ended them it'd be my fault, cause it'd be impossible to prove that their lights weren't working before i hit them, and that's what irritates me. The cops don't seem to care either, the number of times they've driven past or followed behind a defective car and not pulled them over. I'm not expecting them to have eyes in the back of their heads but they just seem to blatantly ignore it in some cases. As for the suit, DEFINATELY NOT ME IN IT! Got one of my workmates to dress up in it and troll the main streets of Queanbeyan. The shame!! Mind you i have had to wear it myself...
  9. Around 6 in the afternoon. looked like it had gold stickers on it? Only caught a glance. By the way, what does everyone think of my new hood ornament? who needs attractive women when you can have THAT. http://members.optusnet.com.au/gossie1/bonnetornament2.jpg
  10. Spotted a maroon R33 near Bunnings yesterday. Also, i keep getting stuck behind cars with busted tail-lights and it's startng to give me the s#!%s! Almost rear ended a ute the other day because only one light worked, and when he hit the brakes it only got SLIGHTLY brighter. I didn't realise the guy had slammed on his brakes till i realised how quick i was gaining ground on him. I've seen a good 5-10 cars this week alone! and what's worse is ive seen the cops drive past them and not do a damn thing. GET THE DAMN LIGHTS FIXED!!! Sorry to rant but it's a massive pet hate.
  11. I remember when i was working in Tuggers there was a crash at the lights near Tyre Power. It was fairly serious, cars had to be towed and stuff. The cops didn't get down there for a full 30-40 mins after the accident (even though the crash had obstructed the road at one point). Police station is like...2 minutes walk away. What the hell? Anyways, sorry to hear it Leigh.
  12. Crap! I saw that on the way home, didn't know it was an SAU member. Good luck mate, hope it all works out!
  13. Spotted another crashed Skyline on the way home from work. A grey/blue R32 four door. looked like front end damage. Take care out there guys!
  14. Black S2 33. Could have sworn you gave me a wave... Leigh, go get your walking frame before that hip gives out again
  15. Ah...it WASN'T you? Ok...now i feel like a tool! No wonder he gave me a wierd look when i pulled up next to him and gave him a stupid wave! Whoops! Yeah, Aaron. Nice guy, he mentioned he was one of your best mates.
  16. Spotted NAman heading into Queanbeyan as i was waving. Didn't get a chance to wave back, sorry. Also followed Leigh part of the way home. Car sounds very tough! Sorry if you thought i was following ya.
  17. 'Fraid so. You never said hello anyways though
  18. BUMP Any help would be great.
  19. Was this the one that had a chrome petrol cover thingo? I've heard some stories about that car if that's the one. though it was all through a mate so i can't say how true it was.
  20. That'd be Slithers. Spotted it this morning too. Shame! Aso spotted FordZ i think going into Queanbeyan. Dark blue soarer with P plates? Spotted it the other day too. Looks good.
  21. Looking to buy a 300ZX drivers side headlight. Send me a PM if you can help out! Cheers!
  22. Not me, tis an imposter! Someone else with an identical car. never seen it myself though.
  23. It drives fine when the air-cons off though... if it was a gearbox or clutch problem why would it only surface when the air con is on? I'm not doubting what your saying, my mechanical knowledge is just very limited.
  24. I drive a pretty stock manual R33 GTS-t, and i know that putting on the air-con is a major power drain, but it seems when it's on in my car the clutch also feels different, like the friction point has moved or something. Really hard to do a clean change. Is that normal? Sorry if this is a dumb question. Cheers!
