  1. Nismo R33, think i spotted you last weekend out near Civic, i was in the black R33. you're mate gave me the thumbs up, and i almost ran off the road watching you go past, lol. Nice looking car!
  2. I think he saw me laughing too, lol. But come on, you gotta expect that when you're driving a Kia with performance brand name stickers on it.
  3. Forgot to post this, spotted it a while ago and made me laugh. A Kia sedan, maybe a Mentor i dunno the models, in lime green with a big TRUST sticker across the top of the windscreen. LOL.
  4. I love it! think it looks great. Here's hoping it has a decent engine and it's not front wheel drive.
  5. dunno. Driving back from the city i hear a clicking sound coming from the back wheel, pull over to look and there's a nail poking out. Surprisingly it also had the little metal ring around it as well, if it didnt have that the nail probably would have gone in flat and i wouldn't have noticed at all.
  6. Spotted my car with a nail lodged in the back wheel. What a way to end my long weekend. Anyways, saw a white Series I R33 going into Civic. Guy in the passenger seat gave me the thumbs up. nice looking car, had a few stickers on it and a veilside rear bar.
  7. Very nice looking car!
  8. I was told by Just Cars i think, that the fact the car has a turbo only changes the policy by $200-$400. I managed to get insurance in my dad's name through another company. It also helped that the car was registered under his name as well. He was the one who enquired about the insurance, because it would seem suss to an insurance company if you call up asking it to be under your dad's name. Just search around and you'll find something eventually.
  9. Nah, just drove past. Goran wasn't there when i drove past though. But i walked past there later and he was. Oh and i spotted a maroon series I ontop of woden shopping centre yesterday as well, big skylinesaustralia sticker on the back windscreen.
  10. Spotted a black R34 at the airport friday avo, then PANADL and that red 32 with the carbon bonnet and gold rims yesterday.
  11. i was pretty good on my car when i was learning. Just a few near misses and a bit too much clutch riding, lol. My driving instructors car copped my poor driving abuse though...
  12. Only thing is it's wearing my tyres faster on the edge. Probably was a gutter hit, i learnt to drive in my line when i was on my L's
  13. Drawbacks? Well you need deep pockets to run them when something goes wrong Seriously, take a look at this thread about purchasing a Skyline. Gives you some good info that will help you out. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=35129
  14. Yeah, mines been done at Inline everytime. Top blokes, i usually get it all done at the same time as my service. I have to get my car booked in again, running too much camber on my front left (or too little, i dunno how these things work.) anyways, the printout says -0.58 Camber Left -1.23 Right. What exactly does that mean? What do i have to do to fix it?
  15. OMG, i want the polish your using!
  16. I recently purchased a 12" boxed Jensen sub and Coustic amp off a mate for a decent price, and im getting it installed next weekend, but seeing as i know nothing about these things, i figured i should ask about the battery. I had an Orion one or something in, but it died shortly after i got the car so NRMA put some small cheapish ($120) thing in it's place. With the amp drawing extra power will i need a bigger battery? or will it be fine? Thanks for the help, like i said i have no idea
  17. V33, was that you i spotted coming back from tuggers yesterday in the morning? If it was cheers for waving
  18. Yeah, that looks like the one Skyline Imports were offering. According to an article in HPI the demonstrator model (like the one pictured) was $62,000, or $30,000 to have it done to a car you supply. $10,000 worth of rolling stock and 200+ hours labour. It looks incredible, but i find it hard to justify the asking price.
  19. What resolution are the photos? And did you save them as JPEG or just change the file extension on the end
  20. Very nice looking car, gotta love that front lip as well, don't see many getting around with that (at least, i don't in Canberra). Series II's look best in black, though my opinion may be slightly biased! Have fun with her mate!
  21. 'Stomach bug' trust me, no-one asks any questions
  22. I have full comp, $1400 a year. I would have just gone third party, but my main concern is having the car stolen, as it lives outside, and you can't get third party fire + theft in the ACT (i think you can now tho, but not when i took out my policy).
  23. I had a slipping clutch in my car, was a manual though. Did the same thing as yours, in third the car would rev high, die down and then build up again. clutch lasted like this for about 3-4 months before finally going.
  24. That sounds suspiciously like mine... at my house. That's where it lives at night i hate the driveway, real pain, means i can't lower the car either.
  25. It sounds a bit suss to me too, as my mate is buying it off a private seller who imported it himself. Anyhow, i will get the VIN number and see how things go. Luckily he's under no obligation to buy the car should things not work out. Cheers guys and gals.
