  1. Cool cool, thankyou! I may have been slightly irrational for a while there! I must say also to his credit, Subie guy was easy to deal with, knew he was in the wrong and did all the right things. Still angry, but it's good there are still some honest (but clumsy) people out there.
  2. Thanks guys, really appreciate the input! Feeling a bit more hopeful about it now. Like i said it's insured and all, but it isn't just a car to me, I'd hate to lose it so I *may* be stressing out just a bit over it.
  3. Fingers crossed. Just hoping the insurer doesn't decide to write it off. Pretty sure my insurer gives me a choice of repairer, any suggestions in Canberra? Last place I took my other car too has closed down, Gemini i think it was.
  4. Thanks mate, that's a bit of a weight off my mind. I really appreciate taking the time to reply. All i can do from here is see what the insurer says but I really don't want to see it written off.
  5. Spotted Subaru driver rear ending my car at a set of traffic lights. 7 years of hard work to not just buy this car, but keep it running, insure it, modify it and respect it, ruined by 2 seconds of incompetence by some guy who must have been playing with himself at the time not to notice it stopped. Not. Happy.
  6. Hi, Today whilst out and about a careless Subaru driver whom i can only assume was playing with himself at the time, ran up the back of my car at a set of traffic lights. Which were red. And i was parked. Very clearly in the wrong. I did the usual, exchanged details, insurers, reported to police, etc (i have full comp, i don't take chances with my car). Anyway, I have owned this car for 7 years. It's not the fastest Skyline out there, it isn't the prettiest, but it's mine. This isn't just a car to me. What i need is for someone in the know to just give me a quick opinion based on these photos, does it look like my car is repairable, or will it be written off? I'll be contacing my insurer in the morning (Elders- closed public holiday) and organising for their assessor to look at it but in the mean time the uncertainty is totally doing my head in. Any similar experiences or opinions from people in the industry would be so greatly appreciated, you really have no idea. As you can see from the photos, the bootlid does not close, the tail lights (esp RH side) are pushed in, the bumper bar is pushed inwards, rear quarters are fine though. The bootlid appears okay so that should give an indication of how badly out of alignment everything else is. Cheers, Graham
  7. GCG turbo's can high flow it, no idea of price though but they have a very good reputation. Might be worth having a read of this thread, http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/55845-rb25-turbo-upgrade-all-dyno-results/ check for other people running a similar setup to you and see what their results are like. Might give you some idea of which way you want to go.
  8. Ah okay, i certainly did but i didn't realise it was you or i would have said hi. Sorry! I was grabbing a replacement antenna mast, first time I'd been there and have to say, they were really friendly and knew their stuff, was pretty impressed.
  9. Pretty sure that was me, though I didn't see your car there.
  10. Probably was, I did see the wave too so I waved back
  11. Spotted a white R34 GT-T the other day at the lights on Canberra Avenue going the opposite way. I was in the black 33 with the carbon bonnet.
  12. Spotted a series 1 R33 in Civic last night with what looked like a white bonnet with triangular scoops. It was not pleasing to the eye I'm afraid.
  13. Wanted to buy third brake light for V35 Skyline coupe. Needs to be in working condition. PM me if you can help out! Cheers, Graham
  14. Spotted a lime coloured R32 in Queanbehole, black bonnet and led tail lights. Not my taste but it certainly was unique.
  15. Spotted a black R35 GTR at the Curtin shops. Want!
  16. Spotted an orange R33 in Crawford Street Queanbehole the other day. Also keep spotting a white V35 coupe along South Bar Rd, not parked or anything, cause it wouldn't be for long on that street unless 'jacked up on bricks with the wheels missing' counts as parked.
  17. Chasing a set of rear S13 seat belt buckles, willing to purchase with the belts if necessary. PM me if you can help, cheers.
  18. Not everyone wants huge turbo's that only make power at the upper end of the rev range Live and let live i say!
  19. Spotted a guy (? maybe?) in lycra bike shorts, wearing bright pink roller skates with a pole in each hand pretty much 'skiing' down Monaro Street. Only in Queanbeyan...
  20. I spotted a guy once driving along wearing green gardening gloves. Seriously. They're out there...
  21. That i do! They suit the black really well. I wanted a set of the Innox Images at first but then these popped up for sale. I'm pretty happy with them
  22. That was probably me.
  23. Thanks for the reply! It just drops back down. I've had a look and the bolts look okay, I can't see any that are loose or missing.
  24. Here's a shot of mine.
  25. Not actually a Skyline but rather a Silvia, figure it's worth posting here rather than the Silvia forums. I just recently took possession of a rare S13 convertible. It's in good condition but one of the small rear quarter windows seems to be broken. The motor works, and will pull the window up and down, but when it reaches the top it will drop straight back down. I've never had any experience with power windows before so I'm not sure what the problem is or what I need to be looking for. Any suggestions would be helpful.
