My ride is going all right...should go for rego in the next few weeks, then once it passes that we'll be able to buy it off the guy holding it for us (Big thumbs up to him by the way!) cant wait!

raz0r$harP... thanks, might look into that one. Want to get the actual light working, but that might be a good fill in to get it past rego. Cause the problem at the moment is it's at the the person we're buying it offs house, and once it passes rego we're buying it. So i have almost no access to it before then. once its regirstered and we own it it will be easier to get it fixed up.

Yeah, i know the guy who owns that particular R32. Not a GTR. he was selling it as i recall for $10k till some idiot offered him $17k. Stock as a rock i think, what a rip.

Veilside...seems that R32's been getting around. I'm pretty sure it had NSW rego so that may explain why you haven't seen it before.

hmm...i'm not too good at electronics and i don't have a soldering iron thing, so don't think i'll try that. Where can i get the replacement units for $150 from? i heard they cost WAY more...:s

Just a question regarding the rear brake light. I'm looking to get an R33 Series II past rego but noticed the rear brake light on the spoiler does not work at all. Someone told me that cars past a certain year MUST have this light working or they will be defected. is this true? The car is a '96 model but has not been registered for Australian roads yet. Will it pass rego like this? Secondly, how much would this cost to fix? Is it just a simple wiring problem or would the whole unit need to be replaced? Thanks in advance for any replies. Oh and my apologies this isnt in the general area, for some reason it kept saying it was a duplicate post...

As i'm sure many of you are aware, i will soon be the proud owner of an R33 Series II. I live in the Tuggeranong area and was wondering where i should go to get my car serviced, who is recommended and more importantly who to keep away from. I heard the mechanic at EVO motorsport is pretty good, does anyone here use him? Thanks in advance.

im still yet to see another black series II in the flesh, so to speak. Im south side, rarely even see series II's out here full stop. Ah well. and my mum already wants to take my car out for a spin even tho i dont have it yet

Hahaha, this reminds me of my one of my own experiences when my sister was buying her car. We saw a nice one advertised in the paper, but upon showing up on the lot, we were told it sold yesterday and were steared in the direction of a dodgy and more expensive red POS. Anyways, we were asking a salesman about the one that was in the paper when the owner of the lot comes out and starts chatting to us. These two could not get their stories straight. The salesman had told us earlier it had sold yesterday and was in perfect condition, the owner says 'sold it this morning, you didn't want it though it wasn't in brilliant condition' The salesman then said, half assed 'oh yes, thats right, HOW COULD I FORGET' This didnt go down to well with us and by that time we were walking off the lot, then the salesman literally RUNS after us and tells us its a set amount and if we leave we can't have it. lol. some people are snakes. Good one on the GTR tho, nice to see you were on your guard.

SupaFly Skyline, that same R32 was parked outside PJ O'Reilleys in Tuggers on sunday i think. Flame graphic on bonnet with Terminator look alike on bonnet. Nice car, but loose the spinners, lol.

Elders car insurance. They'll insure me (i'm only 17) under my dad's name on a slightly modified R33 Series 2 GTS-t. Shouldn't have any hassles with the GTS-X (nice car BTW )

Hmm, i can remember at one stage, when i was doing log book with a driving instructor in an old Corolla or something, i had this dickhead BMW driver right on my tail. i was doing the speed limit and all, and we were coming to a set of lights. Being prolly only my third hour behind the wheel of a manual i was...crap...to say the least. Anyways, lights go green and....i stall. finally get the car going as the lights go orange and make it around. BMW got stuck at the lights. Damn funny. Perhaps if he hadn't been tailgaiting me.
