Spotted a blue R32 GTR (that Calsonic blue colour) in Queanbeyan the other day, someone on here used to own it i think? Looks like it's running really rich, one side of the bumper was practically black and it was blowing smoke too. Didn't look too healthy. Also a white R34 GTT in Queanbehole a week or two ago, owner waved so think it was someone on here.

Good luck mate, i had an issue with mine not long ago where it would just stop accelerating all together, then it'd kick back in and cut back out, all within the space of a few seconds. Took it to Ed at AutoTech and it turned out to be the solder on the wires in the AFM had come loose and were barely making contact causing the PowerFC to think there was no airflow coming in and cutting the power. To make matters worse had a grounding issue at the same time and one problem masked the other.

I've got a soft spot for both cars, i say good luck to them. They've set their sights high and chosen to pursue an interesting setup. A turbo V6 from America? i would have expected them to go straight for the big block V8 or something similar. Sure, it won't prove it's a better car because at the end of the day you are comparing a stock car to one that's been modified but still, they've obviously recognised the brilliance of the GTR and want to have a crack at it. Good on them!

I've seen a bayside blue R34 GTR in Queanbeyan past few days. Looks very clean, owner must take good care of it. Everytime i walk past it i will admit to feelings of jealousy

That bar looks familiar, i remember seeing pics of it on here a little while ago... maybe look in the members ride thread thats stickied up the top? Haven't seen it on the roads though.

Trying to find a driver side door lock for an R33, some smart individual took to mine with a screwdriver in a bungled break-in attempt. Just need the lock itself to suit a S2 R33 2-door. Any help much appreciated!

Came back to my car this afternoon to find that some charming individual with an IQ equivalent to that of a carrot tried to break into my car. Luckily they just busted the lock on the drivers side and didn't manage to actually get in (probably got scared off by the alarm which they no doubt would have triggered). Still, it leaves me with a door that only unlocks by first climbing in through the passenger door, and I'm not to keen on driving it as is incase they decide to come back for round two. The whole lock looks stuffed, they've bent the rings around it as well. Anyone know of somewhere i can take it to get it fixed? Or will i need to source a replacement and get it keyed to match my other door? Bloody inconvenient, i'm lucky that in this case they were too stupid to actually get in but it's frustrating none the less.

I'm chasing a complete set of rubber grommets to suit one R33 rear tail light, my old ones have perished. Any help would be much appreciated, cheers.

Spotted a maroon 32 with a big black wing followed by a gold 31 passing through the main stretch of Woden past the cinema this arvo. Not sure why you needed so many revs to clear the speed bump, but i'm guessing you're just a fan of the noises it makes. Pity the bystanders weren't but hey.

Had someone flash their lights at me tonight on Burra Road, pretty sure it was a skyline but i was off in la-la land. If it was anyone on here... hi. Also spoke to Helious earlier this week, nice meeting you mate!

It should be noted the importance of keeping all valuables out of sight regardless of where you park, if you have a removable face-plate on the CD player - take it off! Keep personal items out of site, such as sunglasses or even spare change, and if you have a display for an ECU (such as the powerFC controller) mount it on some velcro and hide it away in the glove box when you park. Also if the car's a daily driver try to put grilles on after market speakers so they're not on display on the parcel shelf. Don't mean to sound patronising but just a few simple precautions can help to avoid any issues. A few of my workmates have had their cars broken into in the same place i've parked my car for the last 2+ years, and the majority of them didn't do any of the above.

I've got almost no mechanical knowledge and i still managed to put in Splitfires and new plugs in my car. I've got a hybrid kit as well but it didn't pose any extra trouble. Hardest part is getting clear access to them, once you've got to them rest is easy. Think there are a few guides floating around on here too if you do a search.

Sad to say but i probably own the dirtiest Skyline on here (with the exception of that guy). I live on a property that has a long stretch of dirt road so more often than not my car is brown rather than black. I do keep it very clean on the inside and mechanically it's in good condition so i'm definately doing better than that guy. Just don't hate on the two tone paint scheme if you see me around

There was an R33 GTR for about $18k if i remember correctly in the last edition of Just Cars magazine. I'd be a little suss though since that seems pretty cheap.

Spotted a silver R32 GTR today on Burra Road. Good place to go for a cruise when there aren't too many roos around.

Nah, this one was an R33. Haven't seen any R34 GTR's lately, will have to keep an eye out!

Spotted my car back in my driveway at long last! Can't thank Ed and the other guys at Autotech enough for all the time and effort that went into fixing the issues with my car, it's a shameless plug I know but it's great to have it back again. Spotted a midnight purple GTR yesterday near DFO with big front mount IC, the owner watched me go past but didn't wave or anything.

I wouldn't know anything about that....

I've got my R33 and Z with Elders. They seem pretty reasonable but limit performance enhancing mods to about 3 (though they made an exception for me and increased to 4). Worth a try as well i guess.

Pretty sure i spotted your car at Autotech when i was there on tuesday arvo, that grille of yours is pretty distinct. You might have seen mine, it was the dirty unloved looking black 33 outside the door to reception, becoming somewhat of a permament fixture at their workshop sadly. No fault of theirs just a dodgy hard-to-diagnose problem.

Spotted a midnight purple R33 near the police station in Qbyn around 6pm, that colour really suits the car. Noticed someone mentioned the Ralliart Magna a few pages back, if you do a little searching you'll find it's front wheel drive (was planned as AWD but later scrapped) and the engine is just a modified 3.5 litre from the mid-range models - non turbo. I think it looks utterly ridiculous and after having driven a 3.5 ltr Verada around for the past 2 months, i can't imagine it would be particularly interesting to drive even if it is a little bit faster and tighter on the roads than the other models.

On Saturday i spotted a silver Aston Martin DB9... words cannot describe the awesomeness. Certainly has an impressive presence on the road.

Is that yellow R34 the one with the drift body kit and no wing? Seen that around Woden a few times. I think the body kit looks to chunky for the car but each to their own. Spotted a black R33 filling up at BP in Queanbeyan this afternoon, only caught a glance but looked pretty good.

I got pulled over once for 97km/h in an 80 zone, was polite to the officer who pulled me over and even shook his hand when he let me go. Told me he'd be sending me the ticket in the mail, turned out to just be a warning for <15km/h over the limit. Like someone said, treat them with respect and they'll give you the same back.

Do you know if it was a fibreglass bonnet, or carbon fibre/carbon fibre top layer?
