  1. About a year or two back along the Tuggeranong Parkway i used to see a Landcruiser or something similar towing a trailer, and that was an undercover car. Had seen it on two seperate occassions pulling someone over. I think they are getting a lot more sneaky with what they are using because it's pretty easy to spot the undercover commodores and falcons. As for the cops flashing their lights to avoid traffic lights etc, i've seen that myself. I'm assuming they have the power to do that if it is for a legitimate reason. Still, give anyone power and there will be the few who abuse it.
  2. Spotted a brand new Mitsubishi Lancer... marked police car?
  3. White R33 at Tuggeranong near lakeside leisure centre, GTS-T with GTR kit. Wish my car was that clean!

  5. White R34 GTT-T with big front mount heading into Queanbeyan just after lunch today, didn't wave to the owner though.
  6. I keep seeing a yellow R33 GTST parked in Queanbeyan, has a GTR badge and black rims. Looks nice but would look better without the badging... And a blue R33 in Karabar, similar colour to the old XR falcons. Really suits the lines of the car, i'm jealous!
  7. I'm just replacing my old pod filter with a new one, and i just had a quick question before i replace the two, do i need to oil the new filter at all before i install it? It is an older Trust Airinx AX-M filter, like this one The filter itself is made out of poly-urethane. If i do need to oil it, what is the best way to do this and what sort of oil would be best to use? Thanks for any tips!
  8. Mine did the same thing then stopped working altogether. Had a specialist look at it but they coudn't fix it so i had to replace it. Might be time to troll the wreckers...
  9. Maybe so, but he was a bit too far away to spot the obvious ones (shhh!) and i'd imagine if that was the case he'd get out of his car and actually walk round it so yes, very odd.
  10. Not a spotted as such but had an interesting experience this morning. Pulled up beside a marked police car this morning at a set of lights, who then proceeded to follow me to the carpark and drive in big loops around my parked car. Strange thing was, i got out of the car and started walking into work and they didn't try to stop me, just kept looping around my car before driving off. Seemed rather odd, if they were checking to ensure it wasn't stolen i would have thought they'd have told me to stand by the car since they let me just walk off out of sight before they finally drove off. Didn't make any sense to me?
  11. Last change to my car was a new windscreen, $260 including new seals and installation from Novus in Queanbehole. Damn good value, was expecting it to set me back way more.
  12. I'm hoping to get some help identifying a pod filter that my car came with. I'm trying to get a new filter element and i'm having the hardest time. I took it off the car and i know it's a Trust part, since it had their logo stamped on it, but i haven't been able to get a product name, part number or anything that could help me track down a replacement, hoping someone here might be able to shed more light? Any help appreciated!
  13. If it's an issue with the cluster itself i've had dealings with Premier Instruments in Dickson. Top service and pretty good prices; didn't charge me a cent to look at a stuffed tacho. If you need a replacement though i've got a stock tacho+boost guage. Tacho is stuffed but the boost guage works, may be able to swap them round? PM me if you end up needing one.
  14. Spotted a silver Lamborghini Countach in Tuggeranong. Wow, just... wow! I've never seen one before, didn't realise how low and wide they are!
  15. I drove around a few years back with P plates on my skyline and i never really had too many issues with the police, it was mostly other motorists. They spot the plates and the car and assume you're an idiot, so they tailgate, try to get infront of you, cut you off etc etc. The minute they come off everyone treats you differently. Whack a set on your car if you don't believe me. I stopped displaying mine for the longest time because i was sick of other peoples attitudes. It's the minority of P platers that give the majority a bad name, you can't tar them all with the same brush. I don't think stricter rules will solve anything, there just needs to be more driver education.
  16. Spotted a white R33 GTR parked near Floriade and a midnight purple R33 GTR heading through Karabar. Makes me wish i'd dragged my car out of the garage, i was in a run-of-the-mill Magna
  17. haahah, makes sense mate, seemed like you were in a bit of a hurry!
  18. Spotted a white R33 leaving Bunnings on saturday (late spotted i know) but the driver waved so it counts. Had gold wheels i think? Also, spotted a s13/14/15 hybrid. Pretty sure it was an S13 convertible with S14 rear and S15 front. Not yet sprayed, looks like a work in progress. It was interesting, i'll give it that.
  19. I've taken my car to Ed for a few years now, couldn't recommend him highly enough. Worked back on a saturday once when he was at Integra to replace my clutch even after i'd said it wasn't that urgent. Also offered me his car for the day when he needed to change the date i had my car booked in for a service so i could still get to work and back. Bloody good customer service!
  20. The first link is interesting, i've dabbled in automotive art before (usually as a means to pass time at work, dont tell my boss ) and had a few requests before, $77 seems pretty fair considering the time and work that can be involved. I did this one for a friend and it took aaaaaaaaaaaages. Shameless plug i know...
  21. Silver R32 GTR leaving Civic heading towards Fyshwick at about 11ish on Sunday morning. Looked clean (unlike mine) and sounded loud! Very nice.
  22. Nissan never officially made a 4dr GTR, my understanding is Autech got hold of a few 4dr models and dropped a few GTR bits into them (namely engine and 4WD) and then sold them through Nissan dealerships. The wikipedia page has a dodgy photo of one but you get the idea http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autech Anyways, spotted a maroon R33 near Woden Hospital today after midday, think it had a GTR kit on it.
  23. I'm trying to source a tacho for a 1996 Skyline S2 (turbo). Just need the tacho itself preferrably, but i'd be willing to buy the full cluster if you don't want to seperate. PM me if you can help out, thanks in advance!
  24. That's all part and parcel of selling a car mate.
  25. I didn't know there were any that had been registered yet? I'll have to keep an eye out! Spotted a silver 2 door V35 350GT the other day, older driver. Not really a fan i'm afraid
