  1. Hoping to get some suggestions on a problem i've just started having lately. For the past few days the car's been down on power, not quite making full boost, feeling quite laggy (making a lot of noise but not putting the power down) and not sure if this is related, pretty poor fuel economy. Also if you give it a bit of a hit and let off the accelerator, it seems to jolt back a bit, like there's a fair bit of pressure built up going nowhere. I was thinking at first some piping had come loose or there was some issue there, but it all seems to be ok, nothing immediately obvious. So i'm wondering what other suggestions you can throw my way? As for mods, Apexi Power FC, boost control kit, Hybrid FMIC, running 0.9bar of boost (13psi), stock turbo. Thanks in advance!
  2. Nah, you were doing the speed limit, i had no reason to get past you. The decals up the side really suit your car by the way. I'll take a look at the lights, pretty sure they're ok though but then i'm always the one driving it!
  3. Moving to Burra, so close to Queanbeyan. The car was bought in NSW so it just needs an inspection (however the Skyline is a different story ) No modifications to speak of, should be entirely stock. I know there isn't anything to the inspection just wanted to know who people would recommend. Will Craig Hall do the rego inspection though? That's all i'm really after, AutoTech did the last service. I'm a member of AusZCar, good site, but don't spend much time there.
  4. Just after some advice, i have a 260Z currently registered in NSW and it's due for a rego inspection, i've only just moved from the ACT so i've never had to do this before. Has anyone had any personal experience with any workshops that they'd recommend to do the inspection? There's nothing wrong with the car just want to be sure i take it to someone who will look after it.
  5. Followed a silver R32 out of Queanbeyan last night, think it had decals up the side (Mick?).
  6. I'm in the same boat, ACT to NSW rego change. I was told my rims and intercooler will need to be engineered, i'd need to have an emissions test done and i can just swap the ECU (PowerFC) back to the stock to pass the inspection. Swapping the ECU is doing a bit of a dodge but then so is paying someone exorbitant amounts of money to put a big approval stamp on my car just because i wanted to modify it a little.
  7. Yeah, that was me, last minute favour for a friend. Probably one of the only times anyone will ever see it that clean...
  8. 'Michele' isn't really a guy's name... Spotted a particularly tough-sounding white GTS-T with a GT-R bodykit and 400R front cruising around Conder...
  9. Silver R33 on Monaro this morning, followed behind part of the way until turnoff for Qbyn.
  10. I'd recommend Ed at Autotech, he's worked on a heap of Skylines, mine included and really knows his stuff. I wouldn't trust my car with anyone else.
  11. Was overtaken by a black 33 today, GTR front bar and wing and DARK tinted windows. Looked nice, but those windows were so heavily tinted i couldnt tell if the driver was waving or not. If you're on here, i'm jealous of that tint...
  12. I took a couple of shots i can post up if anyone wants them. Who owned that white R34 with the Nismo/Altia kit? Had QLD plates.
  13. Sorry to dig up a slightly older thread but wanted to add something. The centre cap on one of my rims started to fade and generally look crap, so i shot an e-mail off to Koya and 2 days later they sent me 4 new centre caps at no charge. Not even postage costs. Pretty damn brilliant after sales support.
  14. Yeah, that was me. my sis lives in the apartment above you.
  15. Got a wave from a guy in a silver S2 R33 this arvo next to BP Chisholm (random aside; i hate that servo). Nice car!
  16. Yeah, that's the one. R32, sorry, was in a bit of a haze. Sounded nice cruising past on boost though. I saw that, they were talking to a guy in a commodore with big rims. i've been pulled over on that stretch myself so i know how he feels.
  17. I have to admit i've got a soft spot for Suzuki Swift GTi's, i drove a mates one around Lismore and it wasn't bad, fairly zippy for a small car and good on fuel. A bit too small for my liking though. They're pretty cheap (easily less than $6k) and heaps of parts available for them.
  18. Silver R33 4door on the monaro this afternoon. Someone hit their horn a few times, not sure if it was the 33 or someone else but they shot past on the right pretty quick.
  19. Spotted a silver R34 GT-T yesterday in Tuggers, saw me gawking at it as he came up the road. If you're on here... nice car
  20. I've got a Hybrid GT Spec, bought off eBay. Not too expensive and a really nice fit behind the S2 front bar. I had Ed at Autotech install mine. Sorry about the size of the picture, only decent one i've got right now.
  21. Well, mine came with a cap cover (that wasnt on the rims) that said 'Kreuzer' which i traced back here http://www.mackinindustries.com/md/yokohama/seriesv.html However the actual badge on the rims said Koya. I bought mine off eBay brand new about a year and a bit ago.
  22. I've got some Koya's as well; same as the ones in the post above actually, nice choice! Mine are shadow chrome.
  23. Bit of a long shot but trying to do my g/fs Swift up on the cheap, chasing front + rear bar in white (off 3dr or 5dr, Swift/MF Barina/GTi) and side skirts to suit 3dr. After any of these parts, doesn't have to be all three. Any help appreciated!
  24. Hi, can you please change my username to 'r33skylinegtst'? Cheers!
  25. I've only ever had Ed at Autotech tune mine so can't compare to anyone else. RB25 with power FC, stock turbo 200kw First tune had a few issues with knock but i took it back and after that it's run very nicely. I don't know a huge amount when it comes to the mechanical side of cars so i appreciate that Ed always talks to me on my level and doesn't feed me jargon.
