  1. WEIGHT!!! Redline is at 8000rpm due to standard bottom end.
  2. Lol - we refer to them as "doubters"...
  3. You're not taking into consideration the weight of the 6-pot caliper/355mm rotor fronts & 4-pot caliper/320mm rotor rears!
  4. R32 GTRs are A LOT lighter than R34 GTRs... We are unable to run smaller than 20" rims on NITTO due to the massive brakes. We cannot put 20" semis on it either as they simply won't clear the rear guards (not keen on damaging the House of Kolor paint!) You cannot compare a VLT or any other car to this one, either than another R34 GTR that has similar power, a sequential gearbox & was run with 20s with normal "street" tyres Remember - that 10.3 @ 142 was Trent's FIRST EVER run down the quarter in NITTO. To do that time & trap speed straight off the bat was freaking awesome, a lot of wheel spin was experienced on the launch as well so a 9 was not out of the question. We will be putting smaller brakes on the car so we can fit smaller rims & some MT Streets, then take it back down in due course - join the RH9 club!
  5. Cheers Dan... The Powertune GTR weighs 1800kgs including driver (we thought 1700kgs too, but speaking with Chea, it was 1800). Anthony & Trent are about the same weight & both cars are in full street trim with big brakes. We'll weigh NITTO in due course!
  6. In other words: no, it doesn't surge
  7. Did you read this: "Up until 1 month ago, it had standard sump with the oil just filled to the top line on the dipstick, as you would with any car. When we changed the diff ratios, we installed a 9L sump and again filled it to the top line of the dipstick. WE HAVE NEVER OVER FILLED THE ENGINE WITH OIL!" - from Trent @ Mercury Motorsport.
  8. We are not running an N1 block with NITTO - it's a stock R34 GTR RB26 block, currently on 845awhp @ 43psi - how long will it last??? Who knows! It's been on 600+awhp for almost 2 years now, stepping it up to over 800 within the last 2 months & 700 within the last 3. Has also lasted an absolute flogging at various events. It's an R&D engine for Mercury & its ours so when it "dies" it doesn't matter, it's getting pushed very hard. We also had a stock 25 NEO bottom end at 700rwhp for a while as well. We have RB26s with minor mods & 35Rs pushing 450awhp (stock bottom ends, stock heads) on E85. Good fuel!!!
  9. They've agreed so far
  10. Hahaha! We liked ALL of the rumours... We also like the one where apparently we're using an N1 block as our 'stocker' that's currently making 845awhp! It's all about R&D, it's been a lot of fun pushing boundaires & we're blown away with the power that we've got out of that stock 26 so far... It's a credit to Trent's tuning. Looking very forward to popping the 3.2 in, that's for sure
  11. Thanks! Here is the Youtube vid of it:
  12. It runs a stock standard RB26 bottom end, not N1 block... Yes, we ran a 10.3 @ 142mph last night - first run out of two, first time it's ever been raced down the quarter with the sequential & over 600hp... Bogged down at the start too. In full street trim - 20" rims with shitty Hero tyres. This car weighs around 1700kgs including the driver & massive brakes. Will post up vids of the run tomorrow How long is it going to last at that power??? Who knows!!! It's been on over 600awhp for nearly 2 years now, stepping it up to 800+ early September this year. Has done Powercruise Bris, Powerplay Syd, SAU airport runs & 2 runs last night. Yes, we have a 3.2 that's almost ready to go in If you want dyno graphs, various vids etc. then check out our Mercury Motorsport Youtube channel
