  1. WEIGHT!!! Redline is at 8000rpm due to standard bottom end.
  2. Lol - we refer to them as "doubters"...
  3. You're not taking into consideration the weight of the 6-pot caliper/355mm rotor fronts & 4-pot caliper/320mm rotor rears!
  4. R32 GTRs are A LOT lighter than R34 GTRs... We are unable to run smaller than 20" rims on NITTO due to the massive brakes. We cannot put 20" semis on it either as they simply won't clear the rear guards (not keen on damaging the House of Kolor paint!) You cannot compare a VLT or any other car to this one, either than another R34 GTR that has similar power, a sequential gearbox & was run with 20s with normal "street" tyres Remember - that 10.3 @ 142 was Trent's FIRST EVER run down the quarter in NITTO. To do that time & trap speed straight off the bat was freaking awesome, a lot of wheel spin was experienced on the launch as well so a 9 was not out of the question. We will be putting smaller brakes on the car so we can fit smaller rims & some MT Streets, then take it back down in due course - join the RH9 club!
  5. Cheers Dan... The Powertune GTR weighs 1800kgs including driver (we thought 1700kgs too, but speaking with Chea, it was 1800). Anthony & Trent are about the same weight & both cars are in full street trim with big brakes. We'll weigh NITTO in due course!
  6. In other words: no, it doesn't surge
  7. Did you read this: "Up until 1 month ago, it had standard sump with the oil just filled to the top line on the dipstick, as you would with any car. When we changed the diff ratios, we installed a 9L sump and again filled it to the top line of the dipstick. WE HAVE NEVER OVER FILLED THE ENGINE WITH OIL!" - from Trent @ Mercury Motorsport.
  8. We are not running an N1 block with NITTO - it's a stock R34 GTR RB26 block, currently on 845awhp @ 43psi - how long will it last??? Who knows! It's been on 600+awhp for almost 2 years now, stepping it up to over 800 within the last 2 months & 700 within the last 3. Has also lasted an absolute flogging at various events. It's an R&D engine for Mercury & its ours so when it "dies" it doesn't matter, it's getting pushed very hard. We also had a stock 25 NEO bottom end at 700rwhp for a while as well. We have RB26s with minor mods & 35Rs pushing 450awhp (stock bottom ends, stock heads) on E85. Good fuel!!!
  9. They've agreed so far
  10. Hahaha! We liked ALL of the rumours... We also like the one where apparently we're using an N1 block as our 'stocker' that's currently making 845awhp! It's all about R&D, it's been a lot of fun pushing boundaires & we're blown away with the power that we've got out of that stock 26 so far... It's a credit to Trent's tuning. Looking very forward to popping the 3.2 in, that's for sure
  11. Thanks! Here is the Youtube vid of it:
  12. It runs a stock standard RB26 bottom end, not N1 block... Yes, we ran a 10.3 @ 142mph last night - first run out of two, first time it's ever been raced down the quarter with the sequential & over 600hp... Bogged down at the start too. In full street trim - 20" rims with shitty Hero tyres. This car weighs around 1700kgs including the driver & massive brakes. Will post up vids of the run tomorrow How long is it going to last at that power??? Who knows!!! It's been on over 600awhp for nearly 2 years now, stepping it up to 800+ early September this year. Has done Powercruise Bris, Powerplay Syd, SAU airport runs & 2 runs last night. Yes, we have a 3.2 that's almost ready to go in If you want dyno graphs, various vids etc. then check out our Mercury Motorsport Youtube channel
  13. Laugh all you want!

Please call Mercury Motorsport on 07 3352 3363 for further information regarding this. HOPE TO SEE SOME OF YOU THERE!!
  17. Upgraded ID injectors/fuel rail will see upwards of the 550rwkw it's already produced as well, still retaining the standard head... We are looking forward to what we can get out of it before the new head goes on that's for sure!! Traction will definitely be an issue for this car but it will be one hell of a lot of fun to drive!! We (Mercury Motorsport) also have almost completed a JUN 2.7 stroker in an RB26 with an HKS T51 SPL turbo (also in a 33 GTST). Will be interesting to compare the two!
  18. We went to Tokyo just last week, for 1 week. It was a bit of a spontaneous trip for work (booked flights on the Friday, flew out the next day!) but we were able to turn it into a holiday as well! So, all appeared to be normal, there was no threat of radiation & although Tokyo is apparently still getting a few tremors per day, we did not feel one! There was quite a bit of damage from the quake/s at Tokyo Bay though, so that was a bit unnerving - only to footpaths & pavements though. We did ALWAYS drink bottled water/brush our teeth in bottled water, just in case. A MUST DO for you would be to visit Tokyo Disneyland - it's amazing!! Plus, there's Disneysea next door - similiar to Disneyland but aimed at teenagers/adults (more hard-core rides etc.) Both are well worth the look. Make sure you go on a Shinkansen (bullet train) just for the experience & a day trip to Mt Fuji is a must (it's actually not far from Tokyo). We also went to Tokyo Tower (viewing tower in the centre of Tokyo), the Epson Aqua Stadium in Shinagawa, Shibuya & Roppongi (both amazing inner-Tokyo suburbs, streets 'lit up' just like on the Fast & Furious Tokyo Drift movie lol! Definitely a sight to see...); Ikebukuro (great shopping - if you're tiny in size lol - plus they have a very large fish tank/aquarium inside the shopping centre); Akihabara (electric town - all full of electrical compliance stuff including cameras & gear, TV's & quirky Japanese stuff); Ginza (full of expensive boutique stores, good experience plus the Sony Centre is also here - see what Sony's latest creations are before they are released for sale!) For the rev-head, also visit a couple of Up Garages & Auto Bacs - they are awesome! Also visit Harajuku - great little suburb of Tokyo famous for it's edgy Japanese fashion. Also, check out a crazy Pachinko place - gaming/gambling centre kinda like a cross between a pokie machine & pinball! All in all we had a fantastic time in Tokyo. But, remember it is the BIGGEST city in the WORLD with a population of just under 33 million. Australia has a population of just over 20 million so Tokyo will absolutely blow you away, especially at peak hour! If you don't know any Japanese, then it would be advisable to purchase a Jap phrase book as there is a massive language barrier (not many of them speak an ounce of English surprisingly). Finally, don't expect to see insanely modified GTR's & EVO's everywhere you go because you won't. We saw a couple of GTR's (including 35's) but NONE were modified. Sure, there are plenty of modified ones there but trying to find them would be like trying to find a needle in a haystack! Enjoy your trip

  22. Wow! That's an amazing story Duncan, glad you got it sorted out quickly... Nitto make great quality products & our "NITTO" R34 GTR, which pumps out 1072awhp with no nitrous is great evidence of that! It utilises Nitto's 2.7 stroker kit, Nitto's oil pump, Nitto's DB Drag Series headgasket plus a swag of other Nitto parts...
  23. Hi, will you separate the vents from the dash? Also, do you have a L/H A'Pillar mould?? Chasing all of these items for our 4-door...
  24. We can't wait to get it off its run-in-tune CJ!! And, the E85 tune Extremely responsive set-up with the 30 bottom end & 35R, we're very happy with how it turned out! Tess's 32 is still here, it's a complete rolling shell
