  1. I don't think there is as much info as you think regarding the .82 IW. Have only found a few of each. thanks for the helpful post usmair, that's the experience I'm looking for. I rang garrett for an opinion. Seems quite logical to me. 3040 isn't really relevant here. But thanks. I've also received info on 3082, also not really what I'm looking at Thanks
  2. Any whiteline dealer
  3. thanks. but from my reading and lengthy discussions with garret and their distributors, they cant offer an answer either other than go with the .82. have you had experience with either turbo or just been reading on here?
  4. Both .63 rear though. And I dong want to run IW with the .63 due to the bOost issues. Also simon, could the response differences have something to do with e85? If the lag is only a few hundred rpm. Then I'd just go the 76 for the head room. But getting up around 300rwkw is getting to be pretty useless for a daily/ curcuit car
  5. And harass matty t
  6. that seems to be the way im looking at it. but then threads like this http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/310413-290rwkw-with-a-gt3071r/page__hl__3071+82 make the 71 seem the go.
  7. lol, thanks simon. i thought i might get some non biased opinion here rather than the 3076 bashing from andrew and luke. well you've had the 2 turbos, admittedly with different rear housings. what would you go for? also when i popped down to MTQ, the 3071 now comes with the anti surge front cover
  8. ok, well aware this gets asked alot but there is to many variables. looking at either turbo in .82 IW patterm. im after 250-270ish with obvoiusly the most response possible, without having to cram boost in to make power. .Car has standard cams and will do so for a while. 1. assuming all variables are the same. what would be the spool difference between the two turbos at 1 Bar. (my reading is leading me towards 3071 is 3500ish, 3076 is 4000ish...correct?) 2. which one did you choose and are you happy with it? these turbos seem to be the main two that pop up in discussion, but most are .63 ex gate. have spoken to garret, MTQ and the person tuning my car and have all confused me even more. any help is appreciated, as i cant make up my mind

    Gtr Bov

chasing preferably a r33 gtr bov. maybe also r32 and r34 gtr but send me pics to make sure. only chasing one, in SA or post thanks
  24. yeah current info would be great. also, all your power figures are really 18psi or there abouts. realistically most people (myself included) are to keen on the idea to have a responsive turbo that requires really high boost.. do you have any dyno sheets of some of the rb25 hi flow options on 12-15psi? a much more realistic daily driver / weekend racer option. and the 230rwkw option was from a member that posted in the rb25 dyno thread. there also seems to be alot of people with the atr28 g3 making only 200ish rwkw on 12-14psi. which is basically stock turbo region. from what i can see id be much better off buying a larger turbo (Hypergear ATR43G2 highflow turbo (0.82ex 0.60A/R)) and turning the boost down a bit? thanks for the answers, but more current results would be great. im keen to buy, just dont like buying blind
  25. It seems your atr28 g2 profile would be suitable for 230rwkw @ 1 bar on a r33 with pretty good response. Is that correct. Any hi flow with a little more power with a bit more lag? Is this very similar to the same profile for ca18 and sr20
