Will A S1 Rb25det Ecu Work On A S2 Rb25 Eng?
bluboy replied to RB30 Ceffy's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Is it possible to run the S2 motor with all the S1 wiring and ECU? Transfer the S1 AFM, coils with top ignigter, TPS (throttle body?), O2 sensor? Also can the S2 CAS be modified or will the S1 CAS bolt up? -

Auto And Manual Rb25det Computer/loom Different?
bluboy replied to Ad's's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
has anyone got any updated info on this post? i am having this problem with my rb25 s1 auto going to manual in a r32. -
Could another option be plugging the manual ecu into the auto loom?
-
Yes i do know this and have tried and i have noticed that most people have trouble wireing a 25 ecu into an r32. What i am trying to say is that mine IS ALREADY been wired useing a 25 ecu and everything works on the dash, hicas, codes etc. So with this in mind would changing to manual be less wiring involved?

Hey there again guys, i have finally gotten my sh%$t together and am ready to get rid of my slushbox. Now my delema is its already an rb25det auto in a 32 so i was thinking insted of getting a 5sp conversion kit, i opt for a front cut from an r33 and just change the whole engine package as one? this way i can change the whole loom while im there. Also will all the 32 dash and and sensors plug into a s2 r33 ecu and work ok or is there some more wiring involed besides earthing the park switch etc?

And what do you mean by headroom? Are you saying that larger injectors can be run on a stock setup and tune? I realise a new tune would be needed to use them to there full potential but would it run rich on a stock tune?
-
No worries, thanks guys much appreciated.

Hey guys, The injectors in my s1 rb25det seem to be leaking and I have a good set from a s2. Are the s2 injectors the same size, plug and volume as the s1?

Thanks guys, its all back together now and it feels good, seems to be a bit more predictable than before which is good being a bloody auto. For my next mission is the exhaust, it has a 3" turbo back and 4" diff back. I would like to replace the 4" and cannon to a more reasonable size pipe and muffler. Any ideas on what size I should go for? A few people have mentioned a 2&3/4 inch with a muffler, would this be a good place to start?

Hey guys, I have done a search but there seems to be bugger all on people wanting to go backwards with there skylines. My R32 gtst is running an rb25 auto, the previous owner had installed a big front mount and im not after big power so today I installed a stock r33 smic. My question is, will running a 10psi actuator cause any damage to the engine or would I be best to get a stock 7psi one? I don't hoon apart from every now and again putting my foot down to get to the speed limit. I also do some longer trips on the weekend. Any pointers would be great thanks.

Thanks mate:-)

Just read through all 13 pages and didnt see an answer. Would using a heat range of 7 on stock boost with just a fmic and 3" exhaust cause any issues on a s1 rb25det?
-
ok will do thanks mate. but will 7s be fine for now if i plan to run more boost later?
-
that is a good point. was wondering that myself i will try the same plugs in 6 or possibly 7? thanks Blu

hey there guys, Ive done an extensive search but to no avail. i own an R32GTS T auto with a S1 rb25+auto convertion done, so far ive replaced: coil packs plugs- bkr5eix-11 regapped to .8 fuel pump fuel filter air filter tested afm stock 7lb actuator with no boost controller Mods: 3" split dump to 3" trust jasma exhaust fmic pod with cover auto box strengthend The motor seems to run fine and diagnostic code shows 55 (all clear) Now the problem i have been noticing is, in second gear or higher, when i put my foot down gradually i can hear and feel the boost coming on fine, but then the power just sort of drops off, it is still accelerating, but not as it should be. If i give the throttle more of a stab, it drops back a gear fine and away she goes. it only seems to be when feeding on the power. I have done all the nessisary checks for boost leaks and its holding a good solid 7-8lb which leads me to believe maybe there could be a possible issue with the stock torque converter because also, if i put my foot flat to the floor and then back off, even at 100km/h the motor will go back to idle and the converter appears to not re-engage till i bring the revs back up to where i backed off or switch off the car and turn it back on. This morning i checked my auto fluid level and it was a little over the full line but not sure if this could be causing any issues. any help would be greatly appreciated. Blu

Yeah thought as much, but I was thinking, would a flexi pipe close to the flange be the go? Just incase I want to mount the stock dump back on?
-
Hey guys, hope you are enjoying your long weekend. I was going through the process of installing my new split dump pipe today, mounting to the Turbo was no problem and the bottom flange bolts lined up okay but the angle of the front pipe flange does not match the dump pipe flange. So as a temporary fix, I pulled the flange together as best as I could using the mounting bolts and filled the gap with maniseal, but now there is a lot of pressure on my dump pipe and turbo and I think the exhaust is vibrating on the tunnel or gearbox? Could any exhaust place modify the front flange angle to fit? Or will I need some type of flexible pipe with flange to get it? Any help would be great thanks.

Have I worded something wrong or have just not given enough information?

Hey again guys, I was doing some engine bay cleaning yesterday and noticed a mounting bolt for the a/c is missing. Its a S1 rb25, does anyone know what thread size and length is?

Very sad to hear. RIP guys. My thoughts are with you all.
