Yeah from UWA as well, I'm the black Z32 usually parked alongside Hackett or at the Reid Library carpark. It's not running though so I will be driving my R32 to uni. O-Day is 25th next Friday... see you there?
-
You go to UWA right? Take some photos of our UWAM racecars at O-Day!

I cut up my ally bonnet with an angle grinder, then glassed and fillerised one of those walkinshaw bulges to it... no dramas I'd just fit new bonnet pins on or glass over it, smooth it out and respray

Congrats mate!!

TE37s or SP1s IMO
-
I've got a blacktop SR20DET pump, guessing they are different though
-
too old, do not want j/k, welcome to SAU
-
Replace them with stock arms, steering wheel, diff for now... Just put them back in after...

The raised studs is a good idea. Yep you've got it, Accusump accumulates oil and discharges when pressure is low. It's controlled by an electronic valve. Chrispy is using it in his VHZ32 to counter the oil surge problem sucessfully.
-
Yeah the pickup sits very close to the bottom of the sump... I've already got an oil cooler for more capacity, then I'll try an Accusump. If that fails too then I'll redesign a better sump with proper baffles.
-
yup, I have a custom rear sump to clear the crossmember. Pretty much every build I read with a modified sump has oil pressure problems...
-
Yeah I will be running it stock for a while as well as I am anticipating oil surge problems. 230-240kW should be realistically achievable ay. Since Steven's zed made 200rwkW with Nistune and an auto box, I reckon with a manual, ITBs, cams & 8500+rpm it should easily make over 240kW.

Haha sweet! I've got an Astra electrohydraulic p/s pump as well, and installing it where my battery should be too I'm gonna be getting an extrudabody kit sometime in the future as well, so I will be interested to read about your process in detail if you do go that route. Also, are you planning to upgrade cams? (sorry haven't read through your thread for a while) This place offers regrinds for VH41/45 along with higher seat pressure valve springs.
-
Also just used a degreaser and high pressure water spray to clean my engine bay, and spray it every week or so with WD-40 which keeps it nice and clean.
-
It's not really the worst idea ever, since that intake manifold actually has equal length runners (though not tuned for high RPMs). Have you looked into Extrudabody's VK56 ITB kit? The VK motors have the same 112mm bore spacing as the VH so could be worth looking into.

Nissan Fuga And Toyota Crown
ichizora replied to maclarenf1's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
Pretty sure Fugas are eligible for import. Different underlying chassis to the V35 but based on the same front-midship platform like all the other modern Nissans. They do use the VQ35 & VQ37 motors though. I would get the 450GT with the VK45DE as a DD if I had the dosh -
Get them from US = much cheaper. Try West Covina Nissan, Courtesy Parts or eBay

Don't Get Your Guards Rolled Or Tires Fitted Here!

I'm pretty good friends with the Tyres & More guys and Malaga. No fuss with mounting stretched tyres (was only a 265 on 10.5 though). Then take it to Beyond Custom in Morley to get your fenders fixed up. -

Yeah... you should take your car to a panel beater to get guards rolled/pulled. But the tyres thing is just retarded for a tyre place to get wrong
