Doesn't the PowerFC's knock sensor just provide a warning light? -Or- can you use your car's existing knock sensor as an input to the PowerFC, which can then make necessary output adjustments to stop your engine from knocking? If it's the former, then I guess I'll be swaying towards a Wolf3D, as a PowerFC for the RB20DET is a little too expensive, especially when you take into consideration a boost controller. -
Well this has been a long and interesting post, I've learnt a little, and decided to hold off buying those new injectors for a little while ;-) However, it's better to be safe than sorry, since leaning out your fuel can be hazardous to your engine's health. two cents>

Yes, the technology -is- available, a computer can use motion detection, take a photo, use OCR to read the plate and determine average speed based on time taken between two points. I'd heard on the grapevine they had this planned for the Easern Freeway also.

Yes, but a pain having to take it to be tuned each time you want to increase boost (ie. before a track day), I'd prefer to be able control boost/fuel etc at the press of a button.

I asked my local dyno tuner the other day about this actually, they didn't have one on hand, however the owner used to have one as they had a power fc in their GTR they've since sold - Murphy's Law I suppose.

Considered making boots for the R32 shifter and handbrake? I've thought about making my own, otherwise getting my cousin to make some (upholsterer by trade) - if you're not considering it at all - would it be okay to post expressions of interest for them here at a later date? -

I'm also getting a noticable ticking sound from the engine (under idle), just replaced the oil so it mightn't be the lifters, how loud should the ticking be for it to be abnormal? Since the injectors usually make a small ticking sound.

I'm curious to know how expensive it'd be to machine slotted and/or crossdrilled rotors, anyone know?
