Exact same here! I saw a few with my mate and this would have been one of the better one's I've seen.

I was tossing up between Evo 8MR/9 or R34 GTR for a while after selling my R32. Did a lot of research online, asked for people's opinions etc. After ONE drive in both, my mind was made up My advice would be to go out and do some test driving. If you have your finances sorted and are serious about buying one, don't be shy to take them for a drive! I just bought some Nismo skirts and pods for my new car. Guess which one I chose.

Factory Brembo brake pads for the R34 GTR are about 2k.

For sale are the stock R34 GTR rims that came on my GTR when I bought it. I have since purchased some TE37's so I won't be needing these anymore. They're in great condition with some very minor stone chips/kerb rash. Tyres are 500km old Yokohama Advan NEOVA AD08 tyres in 245/40/18. They're as new and not even broken in yet. Widely regarded as the best street/track tyre money can buy. Would make a great set of track rims. These tyres alone cost around $2000. Just got some 18x10.5 +15 TE37's for my GTR to replace the stock rims. Tossing up between matte black or the factory bronze finish. My car is WV2 Athlete Silver which is similar in colour to the one above. What do you think??

I find the 2530's in my R34 a good middle point between power and response. They'll run very close to their efficiency levels on stock internals without any dramas.

A cheap and effective upgrade is an R34 GTT SMIC. And no, you can't tune a stock ECU.

Dunno if this is relevant.. but I remember a case last year where a guy was turning right at some lights but didn't see a car coming in the opposite direction because it was pitch black, the other driver had a black car and didn't have his lights on. The guy turning right got T-boned and was determined to be "at fault" even though the other driver probably caused the accident by not having his lights on. Like mentioned above, the driver of the car without headlights on was charged separately for not having his lights on but still had his car repaired at no cost to him as he was not "at fault" in the eyes of the insurer.
