  1. ADR compliant. Any alarm that has all balck wiring, minimum 2pt immobilizer, flashing LED to deter theifs, protection for doors, boot, bonnet... as long as its ADR compliant and installed properly then you wont have any issues
  2. nup, stock steering wheel. I'm resetting my ecu today (letting battery run flat) with the wheels stright forward...I really dont know if it will do anything but I guess its worth a try.
  3. mmm..probably not, i have this (probably unhealthy) obsession with keeping the car as close to origional as possible. Would anyone on here know of someone who can diagnose the problem? im in SE suburbs in Melbourne.
  4. Hey All, I jsut had an alarm put in my car and now after 10km of driving the HICAS light will come on. It will go away after a key cycle but will come up every 10km. I have checked with the installer but he doesnt have any idea why and i have check the obvious things: fluid level and fuses both of which were fine. I have tried to put the HICAS in diagnostic mode but it will not work. I know HICAS has been discussed to death but it seems no one gives any answers on how to fix the problem. I do have an adverse affects when the light comes on and the steering is as usual. If anyone can shed some light on what i should do it would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
  5. Thanks mate, when i was talking about the "upgrade" alarm, from what ive seen there are some systems which use the OEM keyless entry to run the alarm/immobiliser. He was saying that you cant hook our cars up to these as simply unlocking the car in any way will disable the alarm. Oh well, im just going to get a full alarm system...
  6. Hey all, Today I tried to unlock my drivers door with my spare key to find that it wont open the door. I can unlock the boot and start the car with the key but it will not the door. Funny thing is, my normal key (has OEM keyless entry) will open the door and start the car but will not open the boot. Both keys look the same (in terms of cut) however my normal key is more worn. Can anyone advise on why this might be and what I could do to get both keys to open all locks? Also, I was talking to a mate about alarms today and he said not to put an "upgrade" alarm on my car as simply unlocking the doors (either by remote, by turnign the key or flickign the door switch) will disengage the alarm/immobilizer. Something to do with the solenoid sending out the pulse. Can anyone shed some light on this? Note: I have the OEM keyless entry system Thanks!

  14. Hey everyone, was driving home from work today in my 33 GTST, went through a puddle and noticed that the exhaust was much louder. After a bit more driving it gradually went back to normal. The performance of the car didn't change in any noticeable way. Has anyone else had this happen or does anyone know why? I've got a JJR split dump, magnaflow high flow cat and a Kaki Regu 06&R. If anyone could shed some light it would be great.
  15. Yea, mine definitely doesn't have a scilencer and its a great exhaust. Quiet for when cruising but just right for when you boot it. Cops have never given me any grief. Maybe its not the regu 06&R. Im sure Kakimoto make more race orientated exhausts which would be much louder.
  16. From research on the forum there is no retrun flow intercooler that requires no cutting. You may be able to get a custom cooler made up which doesnt require you to cut the reo bar but you will have to cut up your front bumper. In regards to the R34 SMIC it will get some pretty bad heat soak ~210rwkw upwards. as for the price, id say 1000 is about right. if you want to do it cheaper then check out just jap's store online.

  23. I usually get to 450-500 before i go to fill up. Last week got to 510 without the fuel light coming on. made me worry it wasnt working and i usually average 11L/100km (or thereabouts)
