I get my gear from overseas, with the aussie dollar so strong now, i would definitely source my gears overseas. I believe peter stevens has one of the wides range in store, though on the more price side, however there are still some bargains you can pick up and you can always try on what you would like before you buy them online. When i was still riding, i have also gotten some of my gears and had my service done at Bike+ down in Essendon North along Keilor Road.

just sharing some information for others who might be looking for something similar, r34 gtr at 1:12 (iirc) and 1:24 available at harbor town docklands, in one of those souvenir shops. iirc $10 for the 1:12 and $30 for the 1:24. i've got the 1:24 and it comes with 4 spare wheels and an extra carbon fibre bonnet, with a screw driver included!!!

well my point is, It doesn't matter if his car is insured or not as long as he is making a claim, the insurance company he is making a claim from, can refuse to payout or reduce the payout because the accident vehicle has been tampered with. nothing wrong if he is changing anything to his car IF he is not making a claim. so if you still insist its alright go ahead i am not trying to correct someone morally or not, just trying to give my 2cent of advise.

i suggest you not try be smart and change anything.. if the insurance company finds out, you might not even get a cent of the payoff. you mentioned your wheel caving in and imagine you don't have a single bent / scratch mark on your wheels.

if you are looking for a FULLFACE helmet, get one that is DOT or SNELL approve.
