  1. Beautiful V36 Coupe 370 GT type S (G37S) for sale. Vic Reg Plates GTS 370 included. The add says it all, see here: http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/nissan-skyline-2007-12171785?vertical=Car&cr=0&eapi=2&__N=1216%201246%201247%201252%201282%204294963846%204294963593%204294687061&distance=25&silo=Stock&Range=Price:Min,Max~1|Mileage:Min,Max|Year:Min,Max|Seats:Min,Max|Power:Min,Max|TowingBrakes:Min,Max|EngineSize:Min,Max&sort=default Search car sales for a 370 GT Type S and you will not find a cheaper coupe than this one.
  2. Mine had the Infiniti logo in the grill when I got it, I took it off and put a Nissan one in it, yes they are removable Removable yes, but they are a different shape and size are they not? one is round and the other sort of oval shaped. i didnt think it was that simple, anyway have a spare now So any interest in this beautiful car out there????
  3. I saw the FX50 as well on Cheltenham Rd heading to Breaside. Hoping Infiniti get here this year and it might stop the V36 from depreciating in value too quickly.
  4. Interested in the drivers seat. What is the condition of the leather? any cracks or tears? Need the plastic card holder under the visor also. Mine has a broken leg. Do you have the security blind for the boot? Mine is torn. Thanks
  5. Fitted a bandwidth expander for the FM unit in the V36. Great job.
  6. So i can just rip out the whole thing and do away with it right?? Hoping that will make the slot a standard double din after removing the radio and i can fit something like this in its place. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/290668472204?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 Is this something that is fairly easy to do or will removing the gauge unit cause issues? I have installed enough car stereos in my time in European cars but these Nissans can have a lot of non standard plugs etc. Chris
  7. V36 is still on the market. Everything is for sale at the right price. Just not in a rush to sell it. its still on car sales and if i get interest at the right price it will sell (probably)
  8. Thanks for the comments and feedback guys. QJQ, your spot on with the comments re the bad description. I'm sure its an AR-X (for sure its all wheel drive) and the AX-R is the one that gets the plastic guards right? Cruise control? I don't think so. Dual zone climate control? Certainly not! Maybe I should threaten the dealer under the trade descriptions act then he can fit aftermarket cruise control for me!! As for the plus and minus on the shift, i might change it back to stock the way Nissan intended. My V36 Coupe is the standard way around and now I'm perfectly comfortable with that; best keep them both the same way. Guys, i have another question. The standard stereo is coming out and will be replaced with a unit that has bluetooth phone connection. I'm wondering if its possible to remove the boost pressure and battery gauge at the same time and put in a double din head unit instead. Why exactly would I need the boost gauge anyway, the needle never moves on the gauges anyway. The middle gauge for the battery works fine but the other two do nothing, is this normal? Cheers Chris
  9. So i just bought a 2002 M35 Stagea and put it on my credit card. I think i did pretty well on the price. Some will say way too cheap, there must be something wrong with it. Truth is, it came from Plunket Rd car sales about a year ago and has been previously owned in Australia. I believe the former owner traded it in at a Holden Dealership and it ended up at Car City Ringwood. I beat the guy down from $15K to $9.9K drive away and so im pretty happy that im not going to loose and money on it if i don't keep it too long. Hopefully it will all work out. The car drove really nicely and the Turbo seems good. A few points I'm looking for guidance on: 1. Transmittion has recently been serviced and the + and - are the wrong way around! push forward and it shifts down rather than up. is this simple to reverse the wires or something? 2. Aftermarket K&N air intake and filter. This is noisy as the cover plate on the filter box is removed. Can i get a cover for it? Pictures here; http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/nissan-stagea-2002-11939566?vertical=Car&cr=1&eapi=2&__N=1216%201247%201252%201282%204294963846%204294960181%204294683075%20903&distance=25&silo=Stock&Range=Price:Min,Max~1|Mileage:Min,Max|Year:Min,Max|Seats:Min,Max|Power:Min,Max|TowingBrakes:Min,Max|EngineSize:Min,Max&sort=default Thanks up front for any feedback.
  10. Bought the whole Grille with Infiniti logo on ebay, shipped from USA. i dont think you can get just the insert, not sure if it will fit in the Nissan grille. I still have the original Nissan Grille here if anyone needs one. OMG i just bought a 2002 Stagea M35 and put it on my credit card.
  11. Yeah sure, thanks for the offer. Will you polish it for me, while its in your garage also? Lucky i have a 2 car garage. Any one interested in the Skyline? If i buy the Stagea I'll be taking it off the market. Only thing with the Stagea is that its done about 140,000 K and is a 2002. it's a very clean M35 and it was offered to me today for $10K drive away. Thing is it will keep the Kilometers off the Skyline (now at 59,000) but the Stagea is going to hit 200,000 K in the next 2 years. How long do the 2.5 turbo motors last in those Stageas i wonder?
  12. Sounds good, but i may keep it yet. I've just been to see a Stegea that I might be able to afford if I keep the Skyline.
  13. My car is for sale I would love to keep it for ever but I need something bigger and cant afford to run two cars right now. I'll definitely be buying another in a few years when I can. Anyway if your interested see here. http://www.carsales....~1&sort=default price is negotiable (within reason) low ball offers not considered. I will keep the car if I don't get the right price.
  14. Actually have relatives over from the UK this weekend so I'm only tentative for Sunday. Might make the meet but skip the cruise. Will have to see have the weekend pans out before i can say for sure.
  15. I'm in for Mornington Cruise on the 5th. Meeting point Luna Park St. Kilda?
  16. Thanks Steve, Newan at Irev did mine for me this morning. Nice job Newan, thanks. Chris
  17. Hi Steve, I purchased a bandwidth expander over 12 months ago but have still not fitted it. I got as far as removing the glovebox and thought it just looked to risky to continue! any tips for what needs to be removed or fastest way to get the expander installed? Chris
  18. What time do you guys anticipate arrival and departure of second meet point? I'm hoping to join you guys there. Actually thinking of selling my V36 Coupe and buying a Stagea! Chris
  19. Sounds good Mick, I'm thinking of buying a Stagea, so i'll try and get to the Monash start point on Sunday.
  20. Anyone who needs new tyres should check out ferntree-gully-motor on ebay. I just bought 4 Bridgestone RE050A tyres from them. Size 245 x 40 x 19. Jason fitted them for me while I waited. They are advertising on ebay, but they are the Holden dealer in Ferntree Gully. The local Bridgestone tyre depot told me the tyres were about $600 each so to get them fitted at close to half that price was a real win. Best thing though, the handling of the car has improved 100% over the cheap indoneasian tyres that were fitted to it when i got it.

  23. White Sedan Dorset Road Boronia this afternoon.
  24. Silver V35SKY Coupe in Sorrento on Sunday avo.
  25. The tend to follow the service pricing for the 370 Z for the 370GT. If you have a 350GT then you could assume the cost will be the same as the 350Z or the Maxima 350. I think the minor service is about $220 and the major service about $420. I actually had a 40K major service and had my rear brake rotors machined and new pads fitted at the same time. There were a few days delay (over a weekend) getting the pads as Nissan were out of stock and parts are not coming through too quickly from Japan. They ended up getting pads from Boronia brakes. They also fitted my new stainless steel Y pipe on the exhaust as the old one had holes in the flex coupling from scraping on my driveway. Nissan loaned me a new X Trail from Thursday through to the following Tuesday so I had a car for the entire time they had mine. The total bill was $789 which was the 40K major service, machine rear rotors, new rear pads, fit exhaust and loan car. Actually they didn't charge me for the loan car which I put about 800kms on and used a full tank of their fuel. The pads were pretty expensive, next time I will get pads from Circle Infiniti on ebay Motors US and get them to fit those. Cheers
