Boot/bonnet Warning Light Stuck On - V36 Sp
ChrisB replied to Haxorz's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
The garage mine came from actually put the HID lights back in mine post compliance without me even asking. I guess the wanted the conversion kit for the next car! They defo took of the bumper bar and upset the sensor because i couldn't pick up the car for another day while Nissan reset it. So in my case it was free. They shouldn't charge more than 1 hour though I guess if you take it to a Nissan dealer that knows what he is doing. Cheers -
Boot/bonnet Warning Light Stuck On - V36 Sp
ChrisB replied to Haxorz's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
The pedestrian safety system warning system has a sensor behind the front bumper. Have you removed the bumper to re-fit the HID lamps by any chance. Mine did the same right after compliance. Nissan can reset it quite easily. CHEERS -

Still thinking about the exact route but want to end up back in Belgrave Meeting Point... McDonalds Car Park Burwood Hwy between Knox and FTG (1000 steps canceled by request) Do we know total numbers yet. I think g35me is coming Chris B V36 Coupe (and possibly my mate Sean in his R35) G35me V35 Coupe or R35 Scorp V35 Coupe Japav V35 Thinktea V35 Sedan Alphamox V35 Sedan

Hi thinktea, all V's are welcome. I think it will only be a short cruise though this time. more of a social thing I reckon. Will have to watch the weather, if we get more rain like we have had recently, my car will stay in the garage The tyres that the compliance workshop fitted are shocking in the wet. Have only done about 7,000K on them and the have plenty of rubber but try going around a corner in the wet and you can forget it. Bloody Australian standards! Anyone want to suggest a meet point and time? 1000 steps car park around 9.00 am OK?

Is Sunday 30th January any good as a date? Perhaps a drive around the Dandenong Mountains and a BBQ back at my house in Belgrave?
-
three is a crowd but I think we need 6 cars to make a cruise!

Anybody Want Talk About Fuel Consumption ?
ChrisB replied to burnh's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Nissan Skyline 350GT Type P V35 City: 10.4 l/100km Road: 6.5 l/100km Mixt: 8 l/100km This can't be right. The new 370GT Type S V 36 coupe with 5 speed auto will give you around 9 liters per 100K on the freeway if you are careful. Suburban driving with all the stop starts at lights etc returns more like 12.5 liters per 100K Average in mine is 8.5 KM per liter as displayed by the car trip computer (11.7 liters per 100K). And that is without driving hard. -
How Many Kms In Your Car?
ChrisB replied to Love350GT's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Brake shudder is not normal, especially for a new car like that. Maybe get it checked oot otherwise it may lead to bigger problems like having to change the rotors, maybe your rotors need machining? The brake shudder is only slight but worse when the brakes are hot. 20,000 service coming up so I'll get them checked then. Is yours a 6 spd manual? 6 speed manual would be nice. Mine is the 5 speed flappy paddle box but I'm getting used to it. I was planning to import one through an agent but the dealer offered me his stock test car at a great price and I decided it would be better to buy that one rather than take the risk on the unknown. Mine was the first to be complied in Vic. Until June when I picked it up all cars had to be complied in NSW or QLD. As far as the KMS are concerned, it is reasonable to consider that they are genuine. After all I don't believe a V36 Coupe is used as a daily drive or family car in Japan. Perhaps something for the weekend or a second car for the wealthy. Another good indication to the type of person that owned the car previously is the music collection stored on the hard drive. Mine had a selection of ABBA, The Beatles and some Classical stuff. This pleased me somewhat, as i don't suppose that you would thrash a car whilst listening to Tchaikovsky, unless you are the Stig. Needless to say i figured out how to restore the HDD to factory settings thus erasing all traces of the former owners liking of Seventies Scandinavian wife swappers. -
How Many Kms In Your Car?
ChrisB replied to Love350GT's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
November 2007 V36 Coupe picked up June 2010 with 15,000 K. I figure it was 2 and a bit years old when it left Japan and although 15,000K is low it's not as unrealistic as say 25,000 on an 03 V35. Now i can be suspicious by nature. Some things that make me think it's not correct are a few more stone chips than i would imagine for a low KM car and the fact that there were no books in the glove box at all. Also I am getting some brake shudder which doesn't seems normal, does it? On the positive, the interior is practically new with the exception of a few marks. The trim around the start button has a crack which has been glued, but i think this was done in Australia when the immobilizer was fitted. Also the brake rotors don't look like they have seen to many KMS and the wheels only have a few minor marks. Anyway, love the car and got a cracking deal on it (the cheapest black V36 370 GT Type S I have seen anywhere) so I don't really care about the e KMS. Over the next four years I'm likely to do about 100,000 KMS in it anyway and as long as it gets lots of oil changes in between and i don't drive it too hard, too often, I'm sure it will be fine. -
Being Black, my car hates the commercial car wash. I have to do it at home by hand every week!
-
Agreed, I spoke to Majestik about a VZ cruise and he is looking at some dates.
-
It will have to be in November, I'm off to Europe with work for a few weeks. I figure 20th or 21st of November would be good if we are planning a V series Skyline meeting. Alternatively we can tag on to the Z club meet. The next Z club meet is a cruise down to Portsea. They have not set a date as yet.

There is one tonight at Krispy Kreems in Narre Warren at 8:00pm!!!

Come on guys, we are falling behind here. It seems the other states are doing more meets for V series owners. Any interest in a Melbourne V meeting from anyone??? Summers coming!
-
G So are you suggesting a cruise down to Aurthurs Seat or are you planning to join the Jag owners club?
-
Anyone fancy sorting out a Melbourne V meeting? Please post any ideas about where to meet and what sort of meet would be of interest. i.e. Cruise, BBQ, Go-Kart evening, vineyard tour etc. If I can get a handful or so replies, i don't mind organising it as long as we have an agreement on the format.

Nsw 2008 Skyline V36 Black
ChrisB replied to Fantomsss's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
Looks like the Base GT model. The "P" gets full leather and the "S" gets the sports pack. The "SP" gets both. Still a beautiful car and the price is great. Good luck with the sale, you shouldn't have much trouble moving it at that price if you find a serious buyer. -
Wasn't me! I have only ever seen one other Black V36 coupe. Was in Dandenong a few months ago. Spotted a Maroon Skyline with SAU stickers in Belgrave on Wednesday afternoon.
