  1. mine has been turned off for about a year now. I drive steadily just before I pull up, and yeah, by the time it takes me to open the garage, thats heaps (20 secs). Anyone setting their Turbo Timer for longer than 30 seconds is a fool. Waste of petrol, and pure wank. I've seen people have theirs set for 3+ mins...
  2. http://www.raptorsc.com.au/ talk to this guy - I know him quite well, and he knows his shit.
  3. I wish I knew about this earlier
  4. too true
  5. I've got 5 ok ones? lol probably not waht you are after though
  6. I like this thread - reading some interesting things.
  7. could be the plugs not gapped, OR pinging. If its pinging, FIX IT IMMEDIATELY.... Colder nights means more air....then she'll ping and blow away your ring lands..
  8. I'm very sure that all RB25\RB26\RB30 rods are the same length and will fit each other fine. (you would never use RB25 rods again though, they are shit) The crank is what makes the larger capacity.
  9. thanks for the correction. So only ball bearing units need a restrictor? hhmm. Interesting.
  10. are you talking about a DIN pocket? These can be had from Nissan for about $15 - $20. Got one in my car, because I upgraded to a Single slot (din) head unit.
  11. dude, are you seeking compensation from the workshop?
  12. these figures are all over the place. But 134rwkw is pretty normal for a stocko R33.
  13. Problem is I have a powerfc and a datalogit so its not viable for me to change the ECU. After something small, that cuts revs with ignition cut, and yeah, minimal stuffing around to install. Wish I had a powerfc pro, or they kept making them
  14. do you have a the Front grille? Is it a series 2 if you do? If so, sold to me. Thanks
  15. thanks so much. I'm going to fit the shocks, and then get pedders here in mackay to install the castor and camber kits with these settings.
  16. Dark, is this also a 0kmph rev limiter? I don't want the rev limiter cutting in when moving. Also is it easy to turn off? Does anyone know of a proper rev limiter like this one without the shift light? And by proper I mean one that shuts down individual cylinders, not the whole ignition circut. Thanks guys (oh and sorry if I have hijacked this thread)
  17. GTR rods apparently But same shitty pistons as the r33, which makes the rods useless until you put forgies in.
  18. me too!
  19. have you checked to see if there is a oil restrictor in the oil feed? If you pump too much oil in, it will blow the seals and pump oil into the compressor housing and the exhaust housing. Sounds like that to me. Garrett have a built in I think 1.5mm restrictor in the housing to prevent over oiling. So its easy to install - Jast whack on your braided oil lines without worrying about a restrictor because its built into the housing. You say they redrilled the oil lines to 6mm? Thats way too much oil for any turbo.. I'm pretty sure anyway.... Maybe I am wrong but I would definately check. And this is definatly not covered under warranty. Who ever fitted the turbos should know this.
  20. the wrong AFM setting in the powerFC will do this - a f**ked afm will do it also. Why did the powerfc need to be removed? Also, make sure your AAC valve is connected properly - thats another thing that will kill idle and blow black smoke. Can't think of anything else. The 02 sensor has nothing to do with it - Mine is turned off, and My car runs perfectly. If those assholes took it for a joyride, I'd be taking a few 0's off the bill.
  21. hey guys, just wondering how many of you in here are from mackay? Let me know!
  22. I had 2 x JICs done and then did an excellent job.
  23. Hi Glen. Rare to see a fellow mackay member! This is what mine looks like, but note that mine is standard factory, not modded.
  24. I have one with a .7 cover and a RB25 Turbo read ground out to fit. Comes on full boost at 3200rpm in second. I'd go for the .6 compressor cover - Your max efficiency will be on lower boost. With the .7 compressor cover, max efficiency is at about 22psi - which is too much for a standard internal RB25. So yeah, .6 compressor cover, and about 16psi and you should see over 250rwkw easily. If you want a bit of lag and heaps of top end, go for the .86 rear. just make sure they don't sell you one with a to4s compressor wheel.
  25. sounds good. Just a few more q's. 1. Did you "refresh" the engine 2. What was done in the "refresh" if it was done? 3. Will you ship it, and how much do you think it would be?
