well, the brk7e's made very little difference in my r33 SII with GT30 hanging off the side running 16psi of boost. I think I might change to 8's Can anyone say if this is a bad idea or not?

you'd be making closer to 220rwkw with a good tune. As others have said, fuel pump first..

sure is, .7 comp cover. MIne has a ground out RB25 exhaust housing on it. Goes well.

mine is a 700177 - and its a GT30 - TO4s 7 blade compressor

hey, mine did the exact same thing when we had the AFM wired up wrong. All the dash lights flicker on and off, the fuel pump goes flat out, and then eventually the fuse blows and the dash stops flickering. Scared the shit out of us. No damage to the powerfc, just a blown fuse. If its not the AFM, it will be something else shorting the f**ker out. Good luck mate, and be careful.

oh my god... before you guys made yourself look even more stupid, PLEASE read my first post. Read it twice actually. The kit I want to get, is a little extra than this "$599au" one that gtst25 has brought to our attention because of these extras... the kit I want to get ALSO comes with a 220psi pump. ok...I have been told that these kits can be supplied for very close to the $1k mark if ordered in groups of 5. If that is the case, then we could be in business. PLEASE read things a little better...... I'm sick of repeating myself, and having people trying to tell me that they have seen the same kit half the price elsewhere.... There is obviously a reason for that - no warranty, no extras, no safety mechanisms, has to be purchased from overseas and most likely need to sit in customs for 6 months, and the rest. so once again I say....go back to the start...and read...

bit of research hey? Did you stop to check and see if those prices were AU or US.. They look to be US to me.... So double them all and they seem to be higher than what I am trying to organise. Those kits are also the same as what I plan to get. The system I am looking at - Comes with all the bells and whistles...

well, top of 4th is 180 so I'm thinking 5,500rpm in 5th is about 220 - 240. Got there probably a little too quick... maybe in around 20 seconds? stupid big turbo, making my car go too fast. Should have checked the powerfc, its accurate isn't it?

its because the t88 that you are running has a .48 exhaust housing and the fuel pump you got from a mac truck is pumping too little fuel. Dude, list your mods.

Really quick one - HOw fast would I be going, doing 5,500rpm in 5th gear? (top gear) All of the drive train is standard bar the clutch. I can't reply till this afternoon, but I will be checking email replies. Thanks guys

mins is the same - rarely see it above 75 degrees Any ways on making it run a little hotter? Or I guess thats a good thing?

my R33 did that after I installed the exhaust and FMIC. Wanna know how I fixed it? Installed a powerfc and got it tuned. Now with the $22 boost tap, it is within .5 of a psi.

Universal. All your doing is adding a water jet to your intake. And yep, on the pipe you're talking about.

water meth kits are 100% legal.

My mate says its one of the best kits he's seen, and he commented quite a bit on the jet saying its very good at misting the water (the finer the mist the better) and its much better than some of the other jets he's used. My mate has been running for over 6 months now, has been able to run 7psi extra boost, and about 7 degrees more timing on full boost (thats a lot of timing) and the car went from 310rwkw to 375rwkw. He did a compression test and the result were the same after 6 months. Definately been tested thoroughly. No, the water meth kit has its own reservior. You mix the water and methanol together (50\50) and stick it in the reservior. Then the varible controller has one of your boost lines attached to it - It starts injecting water in at the boost you set it to start at, and then increases the pressure in a scalar fashion to your maximum boost setting (to prevent choking). There is a 220psi pump involved, and a few little things inline to the jet. The Solinoid stops the water meth syphoning when the manifold is on vacuum, and the reverse check valve stops the boost blowing the water back up to the pump. You fit the jet 500mm from the throttle body (to give it a good distance to mix and mist) and then done. I'm pretty sure you could fit most if not all of the kit yourself. It comes with full instructions and everything you need to fit it. This only thing you'll need to pay for after the kit install is the tuning. (I'm going to tune it myself, I seem to know what I'm doing...lol I hope)

yes it does, but you don't have to fill the water meth tank up exactly at the servo.. Just fill it up every weekend or something like that. As long as the tank has fluid in it the system will work fine. If it runs dry, stay off boost. Also, bare in mind that its only misting water in during boost, so if you stay off boost, you aren't using it.. Also, these systems don';t do anything if you don't tune your car to them. If you have your car tuned with a shitload more timing and different afr's and you de-activate the system, you're motor will go "snap crackle pop" and then go bang. its more of a permanent fuel improvement solution. I'm going to whack one in, tune it to 91ron fuel (which would bring the quality of fuel to about 110 fuel) which would be like running avgas all day every day for $1.00 a litre (or whatever 91ron is these days) plus $6 a tank for the water and meth. Apparently normal tap water can even be run through it without a problem. I might ever try it. If you use clean tap water (or even rain water) you'd save $3 a tank, meaning it would onl cost you $3 a tank extra to run avgas quality fuel in your intake. I know its a high setup cost, but once its in....power...stability...engine longevity..etc etc..
