  1. I use Shell Helix Fully Synthetic, 5w 40. Almost 2 years later with a lot of spirited driving at 210rwkw, it compression tested at 169psi across all cylinders.
  2. list your mods...
  3. Why so secretive? I don't even know who you are.... 230rwkw.. on a stock turbo..hmm.. To get that you're looking at 15psi plus and its a known fact that the stcok turbo will turn its turbine wheel to dust at this type of psi, and its doing as much as a hairdryer would do anyway at this level of boost. Cams - I think you could get 230rwkw with cams, link and stock turbo.. I don't think the turbo would last long?.. hhmm Anyone care to elaborate on what I've posted? Could you get 230rwkw on a stock turbo and cams? Don't forget, that if this person knows me and lives in mackay, he's be using pump grade 95 ron fuel, and its shit house quality. So yeah, I dunno.. I still dunno why so secretive.. I've made 220rwkw at 14psi but my torque figure has gone up quite a lot. Pulls like a train now, Should be able to get 12's with traction. I doubt I'll get traction though. Waiting for garrets nice little .63 ex internal gate housing, I'll grab that and fit it, and get some water meth to fix my fuelling problem. Also, I am getting a second opinion or tuner to fix the mess. I still think its fuel though. Av gas and I can be running 270rwkw...
  4. things are fine, its just a little laggy. Whoever told you 229rwkws from a link with a stock turbo is dreaming. As for the avgas, I can easily get some.
  5. yeah I am interested to know this too
  6. I just bolted one on. I suggest you read the entire thread. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=89613
  7. ok, well, I'd check those manifold gasket leaks that you are talking about, and then maybe look at a stuffed FPR or maybe one of your injectors is stuck, or leaking. So the car is blowing black smoke on idle? It will if it is fuelling too much.
  8. you came here and whined about your car not running properly and then said you were too lazy to fix the intake leaks..
  9. I was peaking at 80% with 210rwkw. to make 200rwkw, stock AFM, stock injectors, powerfc, exhaust and FMIC is more than enough.
  10. I really don't know why people own these cars if they want to "boost them up" and not maintain them. They shouldn't be allowed tobuy them... let alone whinge about them.
  11. omg, my grandma could fix your leaks. Do it yourself... its so easy...
  12. ok no worries
  13. Darren, I was just about to pay you and I thought I had better double check. As yes, I did pay you when I asked. You might want to go to your account and check out this -
  14. hey, I found your details, I'll get the money to you asap, apologies.
  15. the datalogit people are a pain in the ass - won't respond to anything. As for the extra cash, all I need is bank details emailed to me and it will be returned.
  16. yeah I guess so, but that would be a pretty expensive kit wouldn't it?
  17. unless the kit specifically says that the turbo will use all standard RB25 oil and water lines then yes. ALL non RN25 turbos need new water and oil lines, except for the kits the specify that they will use the existing factor ones - which are rare as f**k.
  18. thats exactly right - GCG highflow is the most cheapest upgrade ($2k) and it bolts straight back on, no adjustment to oil or water lines. 2530, you'll be spending $300 on oil and water lines, and lots of time and stuffing around... I've been there and done that, pain in the ass. If I could do it again, I'd get a high flow. But, I can't do it again..
  19. hey cubes, another bastard thread like mine hey? hehe mate, you might want to have a loo kat my thread, towards the end, there is all of this talk about me and my turbo (GT30).. worth reading. Hope it doesn't scare you too much lol. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=89613
  20. 2530 are very responsive, and will get about 230rwkw, but not much of an upgrade
  21. thanks for backing me up cubes So do it this way - Set the boost at what ever the most is you can run, and control the boost level with your foot.
  22. I'd get it straight away, because in my car, the powerfc's default maps and 12psi gives 160rwkw. If you get something else now, then a powerfc later, then you are wasting money...
  23. an adjustable boost controller is only good for a factory ecu, if you want high power or low power.. but I'd run high all the time and get a powerfc and tune it to it, ebcause if you tune any ECU to a certian boost, and you lower the boost for a "low mode" you'll f**k all of your tune up cause its tuned for higher boost.. Easiest way to do it, is get the powerfc boost control kit to control spikes, spool, etc etc and level your boost, and then use your foot to control boost... Less throttle means less boost..... If you can't do that, then you're a danger on the road and you should sell your car and buy a push bike..........
  24. lol, should have heard this at 12psi, you'd shit your pants
  25. dude! I'd be getting a FMIC before anything.... The standard intercooler is definately not able to cope with 14.5psi! Get a FMIC, but not a huge 600x300x75 one... Get like a second hand GTR one or something. Will work out perfect.
