I had some issues with 4.9 and Mark ended up calling me, lol. He was telling me about the bugs in 4.9 and advised 4.8.1. Asked me if I wanted to be a vipec agent in Mackay for him too Shame I don't own a shop. Looking forward to seeing the white streak run a 8 second pass too. Good luck! Oh and f**ken score with the 180

Nice progress too Ben, can't wait to see that animal slide. You must have been looking for a while to find one with so much decent work to it?

I do agree with you Ben, the vipec (Which is just a re-badged Link G4) is a great unit, if not one of the best. The powerfc and vipec will make the same power, as they essentially do the same thing. The vipec does look like a better solution if you want the anti lag, launch control, flat shift, and various other features and protection levels. There are a few things I don't like about the vipec though, and mentioning a few is the lack of r&d in the firmware upgrades, and the fact that they are not good with more mild powered cars and detecting knock. These aren't a deal breaker though. I've tried to use the knock kit with them and they arent designed very well. Even quite a few high end tuning shops agree (spoken to a few about the difficulty setting them up). And their automation process isn't very good. I even called vipec themselves and they couldn't answer me about their own product because they said they have never used it (wtf). The other is the price, for a simple plug and go solution, and not needing all the features, the powerfc is definitely a good contender. Especially given the functionality of the hand controller as a monitoring tool. If you own the datalogit kit, tuning is as easy as a vipec. But in saying all of this, I will definitely be looking at the budget and purchasing either a vipec or a link g4 when I decide to purchase a car again. I may even go the Link because they have the digital dash add-on and it's a nice unit. You might even know Ben, does the Link digital dash work with the vipec?

Let me know if you want any help tuning the Powerfc anyway, I've done millions of them. I can show you all the tips and tricks to get a little bit more out of it. You've helped me in the past so I'm happy to help out. Vipecs are easy, but the firmware is full of bugs, as they don't have a decent QA process. They are cowboys in a way. I understand the process too coming from the IT industry. If you are running a vipec, just a warning, stay on Firmware 4.8.1 and don't go any higher due to bugs in later releases until further notice. If you need to backward flash, I have a few files that will take you back to 4.8.1.

Powerfc boost control is absolute shit. I've never had any decent results from them. Callan come and try my gizzmo. It held boost for me at 22psi on an internal gated GT3076 with a little 0.63 rear housing. No one thought it would work, but I proved them all wrong. You've got a 0.82 so you'll never have a problem.
-
Come on Ben, lol they aren't that bad. Easy to tune. I actually find them easier than the vipec, because they are already set for the car. I also have a bucket load of tools ive created to help me tune them. I have this massive spreadsheet that does a lot of the annoying work for me

Boost cut? I don't think the PowerPC has a boost cut?

Push is fine. You need a separate mail program for each mail account.

Hey, sorry I'm out of town for work. Phone is sold, sorry.
-
It had everything I needed. Very fast, awesome everything by two things. 1. Size - I like a smaller phone. It's much wider than the iPhone. It is lighter though. 2. Multiple mail accounts. It doesn't handle more than one mail account as well as the iPhone. Everything else it has poos all over the iPhone.

I just wanted to correct myself.. This is actually a 16gig model Long story, but I apologise if I mislead.
-
sorry, pasted from another forum that works differently. Price is $650

And welcome to Mackay stoney. I helped jake with a few things on his car. It's a nice piece I kit. You'll be heaps happy with it.

Hey Ben, you got the drift car sorted yet? Seeing many combos of 180s getting around. Fitted with anything they can bloody put in them. I've got a mate with an ls1 in his but I reckon that's a bit of a lazy drifter because he doesn't have to change gears lol. Goes hard and awesome though. Another one almost done, has a 1jz in it. Looks mint too, he's really doing it tidy. I'll be dropping a tune into it shortly. Unfortunately I've seen a few small disasters too. Shame for those guys but I've been helping them into the right direction. Drift track seems to be really getting a beating.

also, this is a 32gig model

Hi Everyone Impulse buy.... lol This phone is pretty much BRAND NEW. I bought it to try it out, but no longer need it. I have never made a call on this phone, simply opened it, applied a $10 extreme branded screen protector perfectly with no bubbles or marks the second I took the cover off, and then tried out a heap of the features. It is a beautiful phone. As you can see on the receipt and box I paid $777 for it. Its time for you to grab a bargain at my loss Its only 7 days old! It works 100%, and does not have a single mark on it. All accessories are still in the box, new and untouched. It is 100% unlocked too. It will have full warranty with JB-HI FI, and I will be including the reciept for you to use should you ever need the warranty. Res: 640 Instant: 700 I'm in Mackay, QLD Anyone that goes instant I will pay for Registered, insured postage. I will also only post it registered insured. Pics:

I ran my gt3076 0.63 at 20psi and had no boost issues or det issues with WMI and 375ml min nozzle

Is your user name the same as your number plates?

I think you are a retard lilcrash. You continue to be a fool and blame the turbo, yet, many of your symptoms to me could be many other things. You had no clue what you were doing when you were rebuilding the engine.... Surging... Could be anything, like the timing gear..You could have a tooth out somewhere.. Or you could have a faulty AFM or you could have a f**ked sensor... Or you could have a f**ked CAS Or while you're pulling your dick you could be accidently pumping the throttle... Stop blaming the turbo that works on everyone elses car, and find the REAL problem. Stop being a lazy, whiney, spoiled little c0ck.
-
You don't know why it's advanced that far so I would check with a timing light first. If it was me I'd be pulling all of the covers ans checking the belt and make sure it's been timed correctly. But if you've never heard of or used a timing light then I'd be getting someone with some mechanical knowledge to look at it.
-
No. Buy a timing light for $30 and do it properly or you could do some serious damage.

Hi Everyone I have a Greddy Type RS blow off valve that I would like to sell. It was originally for a Subaru but I had it professionally modified to fit the RB25. The Trumpet can be removed so that it can be plumbed back. The nipple on the back is broken but I am sure that it can be replaced very easily for a couple of dollars. its dirty, but thats what happens in an engine bay I guess. $70 PP
-
No, things don't line up on the block properly and there are thin spots. Hold it over the rb30 block and see for yourself.
-
I used the rb30 gasket. Get the one that has the fire rings in it. And make sure it's the standard thickness or the thinnest you can get.
-
My advice, never let this guy touch your car. You can never look at a CAS and "guess the timing advance"
