  1. yeah man, you have to be very cautious where you take your car here. I've been burnt by 90% of the places I have taken my car to - Tuning shops, paint and panel, and engine builders. There really isn't any better piece of mind than doing it yourself to be honest. This is the main reason that I started tuning my car myself - because no one I asked or took it to had a clue. This was nearly 10 years ago. Now I get called very often for tunes lol. have you talked to Nur33 about his 350z turbo kit yet? lol
  2. Compression and leak down test ASAP. Hopefully parts of the exhaust wheel didnt get sucked back into the engine. Good luck anyway mate. Let us know how you went.
  3. Why in the hell do you loan your car to someone for a week? Holy Fark....
  4. Don't blame Nissan. Blame yourself for modifying it.
  5. Why not just key it on but not start it, the fuel pump will prime and you'll be able to check for leaks without starting it....
  6. Did you poke something in there to gently scrape a bit off So see if it's soft fungus or do you think posting pictures here will solve it quicker?
  7. It could probably work, but it was never designed to work like that. Why make life so much more difficult for yourself? Sell the piggy back and buy a powerfc. Or, do what you're trying to do and have nothing but trouble instead of enjoying the car.
  8. If you're bolting a turbo on, you might need to add a few things. If you want to try and make an NA go faster, you're wasting your time and money. Rb20DET is a boat anchor. RB20DE is... Well worse than a boat anchor. Lol.
  9. There are definitely some changes that need I be made. Not too many, but still some. You can't really just expect two different engines to use the same loom. They have Different sensors, etc.
  10. $10? Maybe that's why they are dying so often?
  11. You're supposed to grind the block down
  12. Wasn't that special, just set up correctly. Remember, the WMI helped me get away with such a small rear housing. Next size up (0.82) achieves 300rwkw pretty easily. There isn't much more left in it after that though, as the compressor is nearing its limits. (unless you're using e85) I hadn't done this, but if you're changing your turbo you'd have to be stupid not to remove the factory manifold, hit it with the die grinder and take some of the lumps out of it, face it, replace all studs, and use oval nuts. Would take a few hours more for a big gain.
  13. Gt3076 with a 0.6 compressor cover. 56trim.
  14. Had WMI, safe tune and a mainline dyno. I am confident a 0.82 rear housing on a standard exhaust manifold will achieve 300rwkw without WMI.
  15. I ran 320rwkw with a factory manifold, IW 0.63 rear, and 21psi.
  16. why only 15psi? Did you just wake up one morning with that number in your head? Get a Vipec ECU Ditch the water sprayer, its a waste of time 555cc injectors are WAY too small for E85 Get a GT3076 and set it to 18psi for 300rwkw Buy a genuine Bosch 044 or Nismo pump, need something big for E85 Buy a brand new Bosch Z32, fake ones are shit, unless you know the guy and its tested then assume its faulty.
  17. I haven't had time to post more but I needed two people to do this. Someone needs to be under the car with a socket on the harmonic balancer bolt, rotating the engine back and forth ever so slightly while you are watching the gauge peak and drop off. The gap between TDC and a valve opening is 2 tents of f**k all and is hard to get. The pressure you put into the cylinder will also push the piston down enough and cause a valve to open f**king up your readings. My mate was having trouble holding against 170psi so in assuming 100psi is even enough to push down a piston.
  18. It sounds like your "original" 145,000kms is actually 345,000kms. It doesn't matter how much you convince yourself it has done what's on the odometer, 99.9% of the time it has been wound back. Have you done a proper compression and leak down test?
  19. if you're timing belt is out two teeth of course it isn't going to run properly. Something will be horribly retarded or advanced. If its backfiring through the intake then definitely a timing issue....
  20. Look into one of these also http://www.zeitronix.com/Products/ECA/ECA.shtml
  21. Ask questions, tell everyone that they are wrong with out even checking their suggestions, then tell everyone to f**k themselves. lol. Some people are interesting critters.
  22. Well, I've proven my point. What's the point if you're going to ask questions and then be a fool and not listen to the answers?
  23. I'd consider this but price wise, its a little bit of a worry to me because it has "blown turbos". Can you please describe this more? Did they shit a wheel into the cat? how certain are you that the engine didn't become a victim either? Not having a go at you mate, but there are a lot of unknowns and I'm genuinely interested.
  24. pressurising the intake is fool proof, there is no way that it could not work. If you can't hear it, get a longer compressor hose
