  1. I had the exact same problem with my GT3037 and Walboro. You do not need a surge tank. That piece of shit Walboro 342 "255lph" pump, are crap. Once they go beyond 60psi, their flow goes to shit. Do some maths - 18psi of boost (FPR is 1:1) + 42psi rail pressure + a few psi in pressure drop = 65psi+ of pump pressure needed. If your boost goes a bit higher, or other reasons, the pump needs to make even more pressure. Once your flow drops off, the car is starving of fuel and leaning out. If you don't do anything about this soon, your engine will blow. My advice, and I did this - Buy a Nismo 275lph pump, install, and all problems will go away. They are a complete drop in unit, come with the bracket, sock, cables, etc, and it takes about 5 minutes to put them in. Don't buy the bosch 040, their pickup is absolute shit. If you do want to go cheap, buy a bosch 044 and do a direct replacement of your walboro. You will most likely need a re-tune too, because if your existing tune was opened right up to accomodate for a failing \ inadequate pump, a new pump will make it as rich as hell. Your tuner should have seen this, instead it looks as if they have gotten lazy, or left it like this so you'll come back to be charged more. Attached is a picture of the Walboro dying in the ass.

  4. Sounds like detonation. And I'm thinking if you keep it up your engine is going to blow very soon. Find out why it's detonating and fix it.

  6. You wouldn't need to know that if you weren't going to buy one. You do realize these turbos usually last a run or two on the dyno and then blow? Make sure you post back your results so that we can say that we told you so. Of you do decide to smarten up, buy a kando.

  8. But, I'm going to tell you the engine looks pretty f**ked anyway. Been flogging it or something? You're going to need about $5k to $10k to rebuild depending on what you do.
  9. Put a cap full of oil down into the cylinder. If the compression goes up, it's time to pull the engine out.

  12. What if you just not be a tool and plumb your exhaust in correctly. Screamers sound like shit. They are illegal, and you're begging to get caught. In NSW, expect thousands of dollars in fines.
  13. So you're not concerned that this contamination is also going through all of your main and big end bearings? Unknown turbos are not worth it. Youll only be disappointed. Go and get yourself a GTRS or something smaller if you want response. Surely a GTRS is responsive enough though. Also, buy a full bolt on kit to save yourself the trouble down the track.

  17. I wouldn't really laugh at that. My mate is a 6"6 half Maori diesel fitter. Just proves how much of a f**ken wanker you are dishonest.
  18. Just be careful. Fitting a 500hp cartridge to bored out stock housings never ends as well as expected. Tune to to about 18psi but only within detonation and inlet air temp limits. It's hard to say where the efficiency is in an unknown bastardized turbo.

My Mate takes his car into my favorite fabrication shop - contractor does some work instead of usual staff - contractor wanker proceeds to bad mouth me even though he's never met me, seen my work, etc. He'd "just heard some things" while pulling himself over the counter - calls my mate and asks the stupidest question (says the new bovs won't fit because the old one is in the way..?) - then SNAPS the front grille clean in half, and tries to hide it by "melting" the plastic together with something like a soldering iron. Grille is $600 unpainted from Nissan. My mate is f**ken pissed, and I mean really pissed. Dodgiest flamin mongrel in the world.... If I ever go back to his shop I'll be specifically asking for them to not let this clown near my car. Mackay is full of dishonest shit stains.
