  1. This makes no sense.. What the hell is head block?
  2. dunno hey. Pretty over it at the moment. Feel like punching the flamin mongrel that hit me. He thought it was funny in the end, even though it was his fault and I ended up in hospital. Messaged me and reckons "I should thank him for bumping my shitbox off the road" If I ever see him again.... I'll be trying to convince myself not to punch him in the face. In the maeantime I'll call the police and make sure he is being charged.
  3. you almost always need to re-tune after changing injectors. I know it seems simple to just "correct" the injectors, but in my 8 years of tuning, it doesn't work like that. Get a re-tune. I bet the car is running rich or lean as f**k
  4. well, some wanker failed to give way, and I plowed into him at 60kmph. Car is a write off.
  5. far kthis thread is really old - since this I have pulled my RB25, built my own RB30, and running some good power. I'd be interested to see if this guy actually listened to any of us. Oh, and everyone - I have a RB30, nismo 555cc injectors, 300rwkw, STOCK FPR. Car runs awesome. lol again at this thread. "My car runs like shit, so I'm gonna put in big cams, a FPR, and some platnium plugs, that'll fix it" ... ahahaha.
  6. about 5000hp mate
  7. Apparently $350 is all you need to full balance a RB30 setup... (WOuld be the same as a RB20) Rev it to 8k
  8. I'd run these standard until there is more money available. Or - AFM - Get a Q45 somewhere for $50 Injectors - HiFlow them to 600cc for $250 ECU - Already said and costed remap the RB20 one Fuel Pump - Bosch 044 - $250
  9. As crazy as this sounds mate, what about this: RB30 NA Block, Crank, rods and Pistons (Basically a running short block motor) - $50 New standard Size Hastings Rings - $120 New Standard Sized King Bearings all round - $140 Acid Bath, Hone, Deck Block - $300 Crank Collar and Fitting - $200 Head Gaskt ARP - with Fire Rings - $45 Cometic 3 layer Steel Exhaust Gasket (ebay) - $40 Tappet Cover Gaskets - $15 Front and Rear main seal $100 Cam Shaft Seals - $40 Loctite of Various sorts - $100 RB25 Head - $500 RB25 head recon - $600 (Deck, recut valves, Valve tip heights, weld VCT hole) ((I had 1 hour of porting done on the exhaust side, for $100. Made a huge difference) Helicoils for Exhaust Side Studs $100 Autobarn Greddy Copy Chrome Intake Manifold - $350 (MUCH better than the ebay ones..!! Comes with all fittings and bolts) Bolts of Various sorts - $50 RB20 ECU remap - $500 Total: $3250 I'd allocate $4,000 just in case. How do I know? I did it the weeks between xmas 2010 and new year 2011. My car is running 100%. Had a few hicupps, but that was because I didn't get the head or block decked. Lucky for me, I only needed to get the head decked. TIPS: - You put it all together. Don't over pay some other flamin mongrel to do it. Surely you have a mate that is a mechanic. A real mate, not just some dude up the road you know of. Took me about 2 weeks to do a full assembly. Trust me, its not hard. Just make sure you find and engine that hasn't been trashed. Mine came from an old guy that crashed it. The VL had only done 140,000s and was like new. Still had hone marks. The hone I had done to it made it come up like new. Was about half a thou ovaled at the most. - Use the standard NA pistons, and get CRC gasket stripper and spray the f**k out of them. The carbon will run off like water. Don't get this shit on your hands. - GET THE HEAD RECONNED! You won't regret it. If you have a spare $100, get the exhaust ported. WIll do magic. - Get a Standard RB25 exhaust manifold and port it! Don't go paying $5,000 to extrusion hone it. Get a die grinder, an old gasket, and port it. Clean the inside out. Lumps, thick areas, etc. - Get GTR cams, or NA RB25 CAMs, and don't run VCT. Then you can do a cheap remap of your RB20 ECU, or get a Nistune Daughter board. - Run the RB25 turbo and limit your revs to about 6,000. Trust me, you'll be smoking the tyres from 1200rpm all the way to 5,000rpm with that turbo. - Save up for the next 6 months and get a GTX3076 turbo and enjoy 320rwkws with f**koads of torque. There is your RB30 slapper that will take 300rwkw easier than a hooker being given 2 kgs of crack to give you a blow job.
  10. just the 6500 rpm. Worried as I don't have a crank collar. Head has 1.3mm restrictors, and it seems that they are doing a very good job. Lifters are all fine - no noise. Will get a dyno one day.
  11. lol there are some really unintelligent people that sign up to this forum. We should request an IQ test as part of the sign up procedure.
  12. well, why leave out the most important information?
  13. it seems that you have done f**k all home work to even consider this. Even a quick 30 second glance over the RB20 intake and RB25NEO intake shows they are very different, and definitely a poor choice. Maybe this is why your R33 blew up... And what makes you think RB20 injectors and ECU is gonig to be enough for a RB25NEO? I suggest you have a bit more of a think, rather than asking stupid questions here.
  14. can't spark when it is under the fuel - There is no air for spark
  15. I think they put a few hundred litres in Caterpillar Dozers.
  16. about 9psi. 10 maybe. AFter that, the ecu with go into protection mode and kill your power.
  17. gap the spark plugs to 0.8mm and it should be fixed
  18. lol at this comment... Completely unrelated mate.
  19. do you have a atmo BOV?
  20. uumm, I wouldn't even start my car not knowing if there was oil in it, just to drive it up the driveway. Simply not worth the risk. But if it does have oil in it, I'd be waiting until its daylight, and actually thinking about what to check.
  21. why would yopu even try to start an unknown condition car without checking ALL FLUIDS first? retarded if you ask me. Did you even think it might not have had a drop of oil in it? If it didn't, then I can guarantee it would be f**ked by now.
  22. lol. Spending a lot of money on a RB20 is like rooting a fat chick. Seemed good at the time, but you regret it afterwards.
  23. Mine was, I changed it with a Dayco, and no more noise. Quiet as a mouse. My opinion - Noise is bad. It means there is friction \ something not lining up right.
  24. Cal, send me your dat file. I was thinking about the cruise.
