  1. you'd also need a balast resistor pack (dropping resistor pack), as simply plugging them in will blow up your ECU due to being low impedance, and an aftermarket ECU if you don't have one to make the necessary changes to allow the car to run with bigger injectors. Get 6 x s15 injectors, or go and buy injectors that are meant to go in your car. (Side feed, high impedance)
  2. this thread fails like ass.
  3. haha I am glad that you are handy with a welder Mitch!
  4. actually, I have never really thought of that.. I will see if i can make something up. How do you go with the heat though?
  5. thanks for the suggestions craked
  6. hey guys, I'm the one that did the tune. We've left it pretty rough for now as the dyno run was only a power run, not a tuning run. I agree, there is a bit more tuning that needs to be done (In my opinion the curve is bad, and needs to be more straight, but nothing I can't handle). Its only been on the road twice for a couple of hours each so I didn't expect the AFR line to be too straight, but straight enough. We gave up early because I did the usual tuning "tests" to see if there is a restriction. 1. Boost from 18psi to 20psi - 272rwkw to 278rwkw - Shitty gain 2. Timing - Increased timing on full load by 2 degrees - Power up to 281rwkw. Shitty gain. 3. More timing - No more gains AT ALL. Eventually, detonation This leads us to believe that there is something stopping that extra power being made. You could feel it restricting somehow. Everything else is great though, torque curve is nice and straight, and consistant, power curve is about what you would expect with a 0.82 rear housing. I'm making 314rwkw with the 0.63 rear, and most the the same, other gear. Here are the only differences (as per my 314rwkw run) - Intercooler piping is bigger from the turbo to the hot side of the intercooler - 0.63 Rear housing - 225ml\min water meth nozzle (Mitch is running a 375ml) - Larger q45 AFM - Standard Intake Manifold My car had the horrid 2.5inch cat on it when I did that big run. I will say this though - My car has always felt a little laggy off boost. Nothing bad, just different from most other R33's that I have ridden in. This makes me think I may have cams installed. I do not know though. I'm getting that dreaded Exhaust side tappet cover leak fixed soon, so I might check then and see if the cams are any different to stock. I'm sure we'll find what is wrong. Just a matter of trial and error. Here is my cars dyno print out (same dyno) with a new fuel pump and a quick 1 hour road tune done all by myself and no driver.. (annyoing! haha)
  7. bump, open to offers Would consider trade with a R33 GTR with a bottom end that is low on compression (but is still running)
  8. Car is a 1996 Nissan Skyline, Series II R33. Looking for $18,500 ono. All offers will be considered. 99,000kms Will have RWC Rego until July Location: Mackay, QLD Users ChokuDori and Shilohr32gtr have both been in this car, and feel free to ask them about it. Standard engine, which compression Tested fine about 1 month ago. No signs of wear. Its been well looked after. I'm a tuner so this car has been well looked after and constantly maintained. Performance Mods: -Garrett GT3037 Turbo charger (0.63 IW rear) Low mounted. Good for cops not being able to see. -Gizzmo Electronic Boost Controller -SplitFire Coilpacks -Nismo 555cc Injectors -Genuine Nismo 275lph Fuel Pump -3200 pound Clutch, handles the power without a problem -Front Mount Intercooler (600x300x76) -Apexi Plumbing -Boost Cooler Water Methanol injection (worth $800) (may pull off the car if negotiations lead to that) -The Rest of the Plumbing is done by a professional, and you pretty much won't see any better anywhere else -Apexi PowerFC with Hand controller -Exhaust Adjustable Cam Gear -Full Stainless Exhaust Turbo back, custom made - Within Legal levels -Bilistien Shock Absorbers with Whiteline Springs, Especially setup for this car. Fully Height Adjustable in 8mm steps. No Need for dampening adjustment as they are multivalved and are self adjusting. (SydneyKids Group guy) - FULL camber and castor kit. The camber is wearing PERFECTLY on the back. The tyres are flat on the ground. THis is NOT some dodgey suspension setup. Its as good as it gets. -18inch Shadow Chrome Wheels, 8.5inch wide -New Rubber on front, 235 KU31 Khumo tyres, and 245s on the rear (KU31 Khumo), these are NOT cheap sh1t rubber. Interior -Viper Alarm System worth nearly $1,000, Remote Start, Window winders (When you arm the car, the windows wind up), central locking, and the Remote will page you if you are in range, and the alarm goes off. -JVC Graphical Head unit, has Sub out, line in, etc etc. -Splits in the Front -6\9's in the rear (I think) -Interior is like new, except for the Bolster on the drivers side. Common problem of it wearing. -Brand new Leather Gear Stick Boot and Handbrake Boot. -Comes with Genuine Skyline mats, etc. Car is in overall excellent condition. The bodywork is almost perfect, bar a very small pin dent in the passenger door. I was quoted $70 from Paintless dent removal to remove it. The paint is excellent bar a small rub on the very back passenger side bumper pod, which I will be getting fixed shortly. This car goes very well, as most people would know, and has been looked after all over, and not flogged. A lot of people will tell you that I drive like a grandma, but when giving a squirt, I'll do it in a respectable way, definately not wrecklessly, bouncing off limiters doing burnouts etc. Car has been tuned for good fuel economy, and great power, and is very responsive. First and second will fry the tyres very easily, and if you're not careful third and be a little dangerous as well. Pics: As you'll see, the car is making over 300rwkw and has a massive torque curve. Almost on par with a 300rwkw 5.7l Ls1. This makes he car very fun to drive. I've run low 12's down the 1\4 mile, struggled to make and 11 due to suspension and traction issues, but I am sure with some tweaking (if you're a 1\4 mile racer) you could get it into the high 11s. Buyer will also get a full run down on servicing and what to use, and how often to change it. Stick to these guide lines and I'm sure it will go another 100,000kms. I'm selling for a genuine reason. It hurts me to sell this car, as I have grown quite attached to it. Thanks Jonathan PM me for my mobile number email: paceys [at] gmail.com
  9. I think I need to post lol again at this interesting topic. lol.
  10. engine is stuffed... Time for a rebuild..
  11. These SAFC's are also a shithouse to install and remove. If you pay someone to do it, there is more money wasted that could have went to a powerfc. Think about it... A few hundred more, and you have a powerfc and a hand controller.
  12. I'm a tuner and I HATE SAFCs. THey are shit. Don't be so cheap and get a powerfc, they are much better and you will get a much more desired result. In the end, you're still paying for a tune. Whether it be a shitty SAFC or a powerfc. Spend that little bit more and do it properly. You'll be able to tune the ignition maps (can't do that in a SAFC) and give it more grunt down low without causing it to ping in the top end.
  13. you can safely get about 280rwkw max out of them mate. Thats a flys dick off 400hp at the wheels.
  14. get a new mechanic. Fuel system is good for over 250rwkw. Maybe change your fuel pump to a newer one Cams are not needed for a while yet.... Just up the boost and get it re-tuned. Check for any restrictions too. (exhaust etc)
  15. I run one, they are a good kit depending on what kind of activation you chose. The Boost sensor is the best by far. I barely use a 2l tank full of Water\Meth per 1 tank of fuel.
  16. I'd say having a 0.4a\r front cover makes it a diesel turbo. avoid! Get a GT3037 and you'll be fine.
  17. Thats a HKS rear housing on it too. Perfect little upgrade for anyone wanting 230rwkw with a lot more response and torque than a standard turbo. If your factory turbo has blown, this would be a perfect replacement. There would be little mods to do to make it fit.
  18. I'd be questioning the f**k out of that bill...
  19. won't you need a crank collar too?
  20. yeap, thats the pump I had. As soon as I went over 16psi, the flow rate dropped to shit, and the pumped was hopeless. I don't like them. I have a Nismo 275lph one now.
  21. you've asked us how long a piece of string is. We need more information about your setup.
