  1. I had one, was flat out making 400hp. Depends what model you have
  2. A new fuel pump mate. People will crack at me saying this but I don't like the bosche 040's, they have a bad pickup and are noisy. Get a Nismo 275lph. Quiet as a mouse and will not fail on you.
  3. +1 for the fuel pump. If you running at a track, I do not suggest you get a Boche 040. They have a crap pickup design, and don't go all the way to the bottom of the tank. THey are also noisy. THe best pump I have used so far is a Nismo 275lph. The Tomei version the exact same pump. You can feel the pickup touch the bottom of the tank well. And they are the quietest, and easiest to fit pump. If you're doing track work, then the extra $150 is well worth it. Plus this pump will support well over 300rwkw.
  4. wtf is with people saying "t3\t4" That could be a T88 with a Silvia turbo bolted on the back for all anyone knew. There are specs, and proper numbers for these things.
  5. why did you strip the engine?
  6. Can I grab the Drivers side seat belt assembly please?
  7. mate, certain cams aren't there to make top end power, but to make the turbo come onto boost earlier, and give you more mid range. Have you overlayed the graphs and had a look at where you power moved to?
  8. To be honest with you mate, thats about the best that turbo is going to do. Its probably at the top of its efficiency range and is running out of puff. Either that or your rear housing is too small. If you want to beat the detonation, get a Water Methanol injection kit.
  9. 300 - 350kms out of a tank of 98 fuel is about right for a high powered skyline. 260 for E10 probably because it is simply shit fuel. Get a decent retune and I bet you get better fuel economy too.
  10. lol at a "nylon" wheel compressor. Its not nylon, its still aluminium. There is a nylon spacer in there somewhere.
  11. I can't believe that the workshop hasn't found the problem yet? - Pressurize your entire intake system and see if there is a leak. - Check the cat - Check the AFRs again - Check there is enough fuel flow, not just pressure - Do a compression test - You might have blown the engine There are more options but do the basics.
  12. I have a Gizzmo, it does a great job, even though I give it a hard time by using too small of a wastegate, and too much boost. One of my mates also has one running 30psi of boost, on a T51r. External gate though. Really easy to hook up too.
  13. lol, bluetack. Do you really think its going to "stick" ?
  14. no idea what they are called, but I have seen them at other hardware shops. I advise you to take it out, do not leave it in there. It will block water flow, etc.
  15. oh shit, my bad. Have you tried the other sort of grabber? That has wire fingers?
  16. go to supercheap auto, and grab a bendy magnet. Its a long flexible device with a powerful magnet on the end. Poke that down there and it will grab it. Just recently when replacing my airfilter, I dropped a nut down the afm into the mouth of the turbo. Instead of pulling the whole intake off, and possibly the turbo, I blindly shoved my bendy magnet down there, and out came the nut.
  17. these guys are giving good advice. Your mate is a clown if he thinks the turbo spins backwards, lol.
  18. it will bolt straight on, as its pretty much exactly the same as a series 2. By the way, this is a forum, not a mobile phone sms message. "Straight" is the word I think you need to use.
  19. well, when I blocked up my stock BOV the car started stalling as if i had vent to atmosphere one on. I couldn't fit it. Was really weird, so I just installed the stock one (with return line) on again and its fine.
  20. sounds simple, but you don't have a Vent to atmosphere BOV do you?
  21. there is still a possibility that there is a turbo timer hidden somewhere. Mine had a harness hidden under the dash.
  22. 43psi is a number that I hear a lot. I'd assume that is correct.
  23. just mount the bottle in the cavity between the boot and back seat, just above the fuel tank access (if its a r33) I don't think cops look in there?
  24. well there is a thread I wrote, about making 300rwkws. I used a GT3037 turbo. NIce little unit, not laggy either. Do a search for "My 300rwkw adventures" and put me as the member. It should pop up and give you everything you will need.
