  1. lol you sooks I run a GT3076 with a 0.63 rear, and it makes 314rwkw, and 720nm of torque. Drives like a V8. Curve was exactly the same as my mates 300rwkw LS1, except he had a bit more torque under 3,000rpm.
  2. only problem is, does it pass emmissions tests. Some of the cheapers ones don't.
  3. actually you have a good thing. Becuse if there was oil pissing out of the breather, it can be signs of a stuffed engine. Turbo is ok, you can get replacements cheap.
  4. actually, I forgot about the breather going into the intake of the turbo. I could be that too, but take all the piping off and see where it came from. Its pretty easy.
  5. your turbo will be stuffed. The seals will be gone it it, replace it before it blows to pieces and kills your engine. Oh, and drive it steady off boost until you fix it.
  6. I've always thought, if I ever blew a turbo, I'd turn the car off and get it towed home, and start striping the piping and turbo off. Pray it hasn't entered your engine.
  7. Good old SAU for you. The above are three really good suggestions you can try. Stick with it mate, you'll find the problem.
  8. could be cams? Thats kind of a wild guess.
  9. lol. You're pretty funny. That car would have to be the least worth while thing in my life... Its ok if yours owes you lots of money and is your only thing. Oh, and your BOV. lol.
  10. no worries. You should go and join nissan silvia forums, because putting a vent to atmosphere BOV on a car that uses a AFM means you have no mech knowledge whatsoever. Notice how most people that know what they are doing avoid these threads? I was spastic drunk when I posted that rant. Its pretty funny, but so true. Go and whapoosh your back firing and stalling car around. By the way, BOVs suck unfiltered air through them at idle.
  11. 1. yes, it should. You could possibly gain up to 10rwkw, maybe more. 2. Shouldn't matter that much, the smaller pipe might help throttle response. But I doubt it. 3. yeap, should be fine, if not, get a GTR BOV to replace it. Don't use a Vent to atmosphere, your car will run like crap. 4. None. If there are no leaks, then none at all. Have you put it on the dyno to see if it has actually lost power? I have 300rwkw, and it feels pretty average after about 3 months of use. You get used to it and think your car is slowing down. But definately get it tuned to better fuel. Shouldn't take any longer than about 1 hour on the dyno.
  12. not really, but its funny, your mate and yourself are driving around making these stupid noises that sound like "whaaaaa hey cops I'm over here giving skylines a bad name psshhhhhhh". Therefore, you'll get pulled up and booked for something as stupid as that, while driving around with less than 200rwkw, meanwhile, I'm driving around with over 300rwkw, silently, not attracting any attention.. But then again, I'll most likely get pulled up because people with standard skylines that only buy them so they can go "wwwhhhaaI'mapoofsshhhhhhh" have given the skyline a bad name in general. oh and one other thing - Putting a Vent to atmosphere BOV on a air flow metered car is f**king stupid, because its just as bad as just cutting a big hole in your intercooler. Vent to Atmosphere BOVs on a AFM car are a big air leak, and it wasn't designed to be that way, its general common sense. If you use one, you're either an idiot trying to attract attention, or you've changed to a MAP sensor and are running som massive horse power. Trust me, there is not other option there. You either need one or you don't need one, and if you don't need one, then you just want attention - and I hope the cops give you as much attention as you want. /bov-rant PS. People that say they put them on because they like the sound - thats bullshit. Its because they want people to know they have a Turbo'd car, and they think it will make them popular. Me, I don't give a f**k about sound, or what anyone else thinks, I just want it to go fast....and it does..
  13. I attempted to tune one - they are very basic and don't offer much.
  14. ok so a V66 at about $1500. Now you've got my attention. Can you give full details on this particular variant of the ECU?
  15. throw the iridiums in the bin, and go and get yourself a $20 set of NGK BKR7E plugs. Then kick yourself up the ass for wasting so much money on such averge, over priced, gimmick "iridium" plugs. lol.
  16. you're saying the m44 is cheaper and a better deal for the skyline? I don't think so, because if it only has 4 drivers, that means you have to fire fuel om the back of valves and I don't like doing that. At least the Powerfc has 6 drivers.
  17. lol, this is a thread full of comedians. Find out where the power peaks and drops off, and set the rev limit there. If your peak power is beyond 7,000rpm, then you have a massive turbo that requires a built engine anyway.
  18. not as good as I thought - Unit - $2200 Anti lag - $90 Rom - $90 E throttle - $280 Total - $2660 to get a decent unit for a skyline. The power FC's are about $1300 less, and can do over half what this can do. 90% of the Skyline market are just normal people wanting a bit more power with a budget. This is obviously aiming at the other 10%. All this talk about being the new ECU that is going to take over the market is not the case. I doubt this will make a very big hit. No offence, just my opinion.
  19. well, you need to give me the CHRA number on the little place that sits on the core. I could look on my garret spreadsheet. But as I said, the compressor is f**king massive, its nearly as big as that CD. Meaning its big, heavy and needs a lot of exhaust gas - from a big 7l diesel to spool it. It looks like its only meant to do low RPM, like 90,000 rpm, maybe less. Most Petrol turbos spin at up to 150,000 rpm, because they are smaller and lighter. Its just simply way ig in size, thats how I come to my comclusion. Trust me, it would be a complete waste of time installing on a RB25.
  20. no offence mate, but it looks like a big piece of shit truck turbo that doesn't belong anywhere near a RB25. Would come on boost at about 8,000rpm
  21. Just get Braided lines and good fittings, thats what I did, as mine is low mount too. They aren't that hard to work on, just need to be smart on hose lengths and types of fittings. I used those Blue and Red fittings - not sure on the brand. And they are fine because the turbo has been off 4 or 5 times now, being change to a bigger one, and changing rear housings etc.
  22. two different models of car so I doubt it?
  23. no, no, and no.
  24. yeah sounds like lifters as the sound is high at the back. BUT I could be completely wrong and a Big end has spun. Fresh oil though, and see what happens.
