  2. how about you just get a new stocker or put a GTR bov on, and stop sounding like a WAPPPOOOFF kind of a tool? I have a stocker running 20psi+ and it works fine.

  4. thats a bit low for a GT35? I made 314rwkw on 18psi with a GT3037, 0.63 rear housing. Standard RB25 engine, no mods. Was done on a mainline and dynodynamics too, and I made sure nothing was fudged. Are you using a 0.7 compressor cover? If so, get it up to 22psi

  7. you're forgetting about the R&R, and the fact that an exhaust makes them run at about 10psi up top anyway? But yes, 170 is within reach. Why the arrogance? yeap, and I'm sure you needed about 18psi to do that too. But I bet you didn't know that the RB20 ECU is very different to the RB25 and Neo ECUs hey? They are capable of much more with just boost and don't go into R&R anywhere near as bad as the R33 and R34... Actually, I bet you didn't, hence your statement. 209rwkw netted me 13.6 at 104mph and a 2.3 sec 60 foot.. 60foot was shocking.
  8. I'm not sure thats good advice? I have 314rwkw on stock internals, and same turbo. I don't even have a catch can, and I don't burn a single drop of oil. Mate, whever tuned your car might have done it too agressively now its stuffed a ring land. The catch can back into the sump idea is also a bad one, as that oil is trashed and shouldn't be used again. I'd do a compression and leak down test, and start putting aside about $4k for a rebuild just in case. Also Also, I've been running Shell Helix 5w40 for the past 3 years and it seems to be really good as I have almost no engine wear. All of these expensive oils seem to be a bit of a waste to me.
  9. BUt hasn't he tricked the ECU to staying off limp miode and a few other things? You defiantely should be quiet - I made 210rwkw on the stock turbo and a Powerfc for overa year, and was just a niave as most people here, coming in and claiming "250rwkw" or whatever just on a exhaust and filter, using the factory ECU. I learnt, and understood how the systems work, and their limitations. I know most of these, hence why I know how to pick the dodgy dynos etc. Sydneykid knows his stuff, more than you'll ever know, and I'm agreeing with him.
  10. SK answers your "statements" below. Its not uncommon for a dyno operator to fudge results to make the "young fella that just got a skyline and put and exhaust, pod filter and BOV" get his wallet out faster when paying. And I can backup what SK says because I have been there, and done that, and a few times the hard way. You need to get a better understanding of how the RB25 works, based on ECU shorfalls, and turbo limits before you think "that it will just make xxx power" with a couple of mods, and not taking into account that there are some systems in the car (eg. ecu), no matter how big and better the other systems are (eg. exhaust filter, etc) the weaker system will hold EVERYTHING back.

  12. lol at 180rwkw - 200rwkw on the factory ECU and stock turbo... 150rwkw is about the most you'll get with a factory ECU until you get something you can tweak
  13. lol I didn't know installing a GT3540 was a part of the 100,000km service? Not sure about you problem though? Sorry. Maybe IAC valve? What happens if you pump the throttle a little while starting?

  17. that would have to be the worst self diagnosis I have ever seen. If you're making boost, then your turbo is fine. If your car sounds like a WRX, then you have engine problems..
