  1. no, I've seen the Nismo for $300 - $320 and I find it by far a more superior pump than the bosche, and flows more at higher pressure. Oh, and not a sigle bit of stuffing around like the crap you have to do to the bosche. The NIsmo drops straight in. Oh, and the Nismo is quieter..... Well worth the $100 more. If you can't afford to spend an extra $100 on a pump, then why do you own a skyline?
  2. Don't put a junky Bosche 040 in your GTR if you want to make good decent power and reliably. Get a Nismo 275lph @ 72psi pump. It will fit it like a glove and require no modifications. Oh, and you won't have pickup issues either.
  3. I don't think those 700cc injectors will go much past 400awkw
  4. rofl, no. www.howstuffworks.com
  5. nah, won't hurt anything, will just run like crap
  6. You can't make the boost go lower than the actuator rating. The R33 is a 5psi actuator, and there is a factory solenoid that bleeds it so it increases to 7psi at 5,000rpm.
  7. 10 degrees at idle simply isn't enough timing. It needs to be at 15 degrees. This is easy to adjust in the powerfc.
  8. mine made 314rwkw at 19psi, 0.63 rear and Water meth injection. With cams, 0.82 rear, and a fresh engine, and 22psi, you'll shit it in. Also, my powercurve looked like a V8's.
  9. they are crap - seen too many of these lean cars out or make them ping until death. They are tuned for japanese fuel (104ron +)
  10. what mods? Stock SMIC can't do anything over about 9-10psi Factory ECU can't handle anything over 10-11psi
  11. I'm using Nismo 555cc injectors, with a powerfc, Nismo 275lph@72psi Fuel pump, and my corrections are set at 77%. If your factory regulator is feeding them 55psi+ at idle, then your return is blocked, or your factory FPR is fooked. They are pretty easy to diagnose. Guilt-Toy has given some good advice.
  12. are you gonig to try and make any more than 350rwkw? If not then throw the FPR in the bin and re-fit the factory item. These threads are by the dozen "Why doesn't my FPR work" - answer is because they are crap and are not needed for lower power figures. I have tuned so many cars, and seen crap AFRs, going up and down, all over the place. Fit the factory Item and back to normal.
  13. The factory regulator is at about 42psi at idle, why is yours so high?
  14. they are slow, arrogant, and lazy. Took them 3 months to get me a fuel pump. And Todd was arrogant when I was asking about it, and even got smart with me. Greenline - They usually take about a week or two. They are heaps faster. I won't buy from nengun anymore due to their bad service and long wait times.
  15. in the engine bay - its at the front of the radiator. Sorry if I was a bit vague
  16. do you have the bracket that hold the aircon fan into place?
  17. I wouldn't mind seeing some of these dyno sheets so I can see just how much the dyno operator has fudged the final power readout. I have a 3076 with water methanol injection - and it struggles to make 310rwkw on 18psi of boost. How could a smaller turbo make it just as easy?
  18. That is crap. It will not make that much power, and if it did, it would have the engine on the brink of destruction. Either that, or you like using happy dynos.
  19. GT30 is too small for over 300rwkw, you'll need a GT3582. Listen to Dale, he has very good knowledge in this field.
  20. well, you have no choice but to get them done just enough so they are flat. So just do that and then do a mock build and measure it? Depends how good you want it to be. You could end up with 9.1:1 maybe, but thats a good thing I say.
  21. this is pretty normal. Only way to fix is get a powerfc and install a bigger AFM.
  22. don't bother buying crap on ebay search in the group buy thread here on SAU, sydneykid is doing so awesome deals, on really good gear. I got a full suspension kit and camber kit, and I will never buy anything other than this gear again.
  23. mine does it - tighten the bolts that hold your turbo on. They'll make the noise as soon as the exhaust pressure gets higher etc.
  24. thanks for your replies. These resistor packs - can you buy them or do you just put some resistors inline somewhere?
  25. what compression ratio has it been built to?
