  1. most likely not, HKS make different dump pipe patterns on most of their turbos. Why would you run the stock dump pipe anyway?
  2. I'm interested in a pair of GTR BOVs without the return pipe.
  3. do you even need injectors? List your mods
  4. do you need a resistor pack if you're using a RB26 PowerFC?
  5. I took a R32 GTR for a tune last night, the throttle response is fantastic. Absolutely nothing like the Single TB designs.
  6. And back to your retarded form. I really don't know what the go is with your useless attitude. You actually look more stupid everytime you post. 1. I am not digging a hole. I had the gear. 2. We had the adapter drawn up. 3. We had a chat to the laser cutter guy. 4. There is no f*cking R&D in this. Its just an adapter plate that needs with a bit of careful thinking. The way my boilermaker friend described the bolting together back then is EXACTLY shown in these pictures. We're not developing an new type of bomb, or new type of aeroplane here. 5. Someone that owned a 4 TB setup in a GTiR convinced me that this kind of TB setup was no good for high boost applications. Another reason why I bailed. I got more from selling the RB26 setup and managed to secure a greddy copy. The money saved can go towards a Q45 TB. 6. My workforce hasn't dried up, Its still there, we do quite a few other things. 7. You're clueless, a fool, and have no interesting or intelligent input what so ever, just useless slander, because someone has already thought about it. I was never behind, or ahead, its just a f*cking adapter plate. If things like this are too trivial for you and require "years of R&D" then enjoy your simple life of never trying something yourself. Anything is easy when you put a few heads together. Your attitude stinks, and you have a problem.
  7. oh my f*cking god, we get about 3 of these threads a day or some shit. PLEASE SEARCH before making yourself look like a fool. Well, you have an atmo bov, so you already do. For the 100th time, take the f*cking thing off, and your car will run fine again. You DO NOT need it.
  8. nice work guilt-toy Sorry I missed your calls yesterday too - Left my phone in the car. I still think you should put the WMI kit on and aim for 400rwkw
  9. Why would you use those over priced, non performance gaining, crap plugs anyway? $120 for 6 plugs vs $20 for 6 plugs. $100 difference, thats 2 x 5l bottle of oil for your engine..
  10. yeah they are right I was at Barneys house in the afternoon you big choko and he had the same setup with 2 x regulators.
  11. its plenty, ball bearing turbochargers can have down to 0.45mm restricters built into them. Too much oil = failure. Garrett's can handle no more than 45psi of oil pressure. My feed is only 8mm, been there for 3 years now.
  12. what ECU were you running mate? (Psymon)
  13. He's put dividers inside the manifold to evening distribute the air flow. Not a bad job, but I guess a flow bench will only tell. Finally, a decent reply from you. Thank you. There is bugger all R&D in this, its just a well thought out adapter plate. We comtemplated doing up a heap and trying to sell them but as I said, I got slack and we never finished the project. ANd in the end, it would have been easier for the boily to just weld the runners to the throttle bodies and bolt them straight onto the head. Much quicker, as it was only really intended for a once off job. These guys are also busy, and only got busier as the mining boom got heavier. And My Boilermaker mate sold his skyline, got married, and bought a house. That slowed things down to almost nothing. Life > Work About the RB26 intake manifold - I called a workshop and asked if they had any RB26 manifolds and TBs spare and they said no. Then a week later, the called me back and sold me one for $300 delivered. I Had it for 6 months and things slowed down, and I went the cheap route and got a Greddy copy for $250. resold the RB26 one for more than what I paid..
  14. He actually split the larger pipe from the intercooler into two in the way up. Not sure how the division goes, but its done quiet well. They throttle bodies open in parallel Geoff, I understand where you are coming from, and I never said that you didn't know anything. But as I said, these guys are good. They always think outside the square when designing something and make sure its going to work. They are some of my closest friends, and as I Said, I pay for materials, and a carton (or two) and they are more than happy to knock pretty much anything up. They are level headed guys, not cowboys looking for a quick buck out of anybody. And our conclusion was we were looking at simply welding the RB25 runners onto our own plate that would bolt up to the TB's. welding them to the TB's if possible was also another idea. But as I said earlier, we got slack after looking at it heaps of times and probably having a beer too many. It was more me, I decided to go something more simple and get a Greddy copy to put on a 3.0l and RB25 head sitting in my garage that I haven't built yet. We weren't in a hurry. Lets get something straight - Is there actaully anything more in the kit than what is provided, or just the two plates and some bolts? I still think that if its just whats shown, $750 is high. Thats about 8-10 hours of labour. The Manifold itself with TBs can be bought around the place for $300, less than half the price of the adapter plate, and there were some adapters selling on Yahoo actions for $350 when I looked last. This is just my opinion. Don't forget in mackay, the industrial sector is booming here due to the mining. Everything like material, machinery, and ability is readily available. BUt in saying all of this - They are very well done, and I was impressed.
  15. Fineline, I'm not even going to bother arguing with an idiot\spammer like yourself. Your posts are useless garbage. On topic once again - Does anyone have any feedback on the dual Throttle body design of my mates as opposed to 6? Perks \ Flaws? I can think of the throttle response not being like the RB26 - having the TBs right on the head. THats about it. Tight fit though to get two of those in there.
  16. over 3000 posts in less than a year. I'm sure you're a very constructive person. Its funny how a select few are quick to knock my claims on the head.. Even though I've always come through with everything else I have done. Don't pass me off as some bullshitter on this forum, I've got better things to do than lie. I had 2 Adapter plates laser cut for my turbine housing to manifold, to space it out. Cost me a Bottle of Jim Beam, to get 2 cut. I look after my friends, and they look after me. I had a RB26 Intake manifold and 6 x throttle bodies, we did up some drawings on what was needed, how it would bolt to the head, how you would make the "vacuum box" for all of the vacuum reliant systems etc. It wasn't hard. Then My boilermaker mate, the person that tigged up every bit of pipe on my car (no, I have NEVER been to a shop to have custom stuff done) said it would be much easier to maybe tig up some RB25 runners onto a plate and bolt the 6 x throttle bodies onto that plate. Once again, that plate would be laser cut. So its not that hard when you think of other ways to do it. If you don't believe me, here is some of his work, and even some pictures of him working. Fineline, just for you and your smart assed rant. And back on topic about throttle bodies: My boilermaker friend designed this from scratch, he wanted more response, and had two RB25 Throttle bodies spare. Took a bit to get the tune set to balance two of these, but it worked very well. Oh, and those raised cam covers he made himself too. Very talented guy. Some of his work is unbelievable. Everyone else out there - the idea of going 6 TBs is awesome, and don't think that you have to go and spend too much money getting an adapter plate. Do what we were thinking of doing besides the adapter plate, and cut some runners from the RB25 and make your own plate that will bolt onto the RB26 TBs.
  17. Actually, I have every idea. Two of my good mates, one a Boiler maker, and one a fitter looked into it with me. Couple of cad drawings later, and a chat to their mate that can laser cut metal, and it was going to be done quite easily, and cheaply. I just got slack for making the "vaccum box" etc and getting it all together. Wouldn't have been a hard process at all. Its comments like these that make me wish I had of not slacked off and just done it.
  18. might want to search, there are hundreds of threads about this
  19. In doing this, I would only be interested in throttle response. I love the way GTR's respond. I'd need an apadter plate though, and the downside is there is someone trying to sell an australian version for $750. Thats just a stupid price. I have seen adapters on yahoo auctions for around the $350 mark. Someone is getting greedy.
  20. There you go I had a stock AFM and powerfc and I was getting the exact same problem between gear changes etc too. But just remember the the R&R hits at about 10+psi on the standard turbo, which means it would be 9psi \ 8psi on a Highflow because it is moving more air volume. You really need to get some form of aftermarket management - so go and pick up yourself a Powerfc and a Z32 AFM, and 90% of your problems will go away.
  21. what ecu do you have? What AFM do you have? If you have a stock one of either, I can guarantee the problem lies there.
  22. sorry, here is a link that works: http://users.on.net/pacey/sau/pacey.avi
  23. I would suggest a Recirculating BOV, as it will make your turbo last longer. Also, sounds like you want attention? Cops will love you.
