no, you can't do it that way. You NEED the datalogit, and you need to go for a drive and see what cell is causing the knock. There are 400 cells on the Powerfc, and the handcontroller only shows the highest reading of all of the knocked cells. So adjusting the cas is just stupid, and so is just blindly adjusting cells in the powerfc. You need to use mapwatch. I can get a reading of 100+ on the HC and look at map watch and see that only one single cell out of the whole 400 is doing this. All of the other cells that aren't knocking at all and showing 0 probably need timing advanced the shit out of them. Thats what I did, and all cells now have a minimum of about 3 knock

haev a look at the pic - The three on the right are full length, the one on the left that I have marked falls short of the collector and is plumbed in with runners 2 and 3. Its pretty obvious. Either that or the designer has made th pipe slightly bigger after where runner 1 plumbs in to accomodate. Maybe that is the case. But its not tuned length then.

That runner is shorter than the rest But its better than some of the other dodgey ebay ones I have seen. Does anyone know what grade of stainless is used? 2mm or 3mm?

would it be easy to just pour a little bit of fresh engine oil into the core before assembly? Surely you have some left, I buy the Shell Helix 5w40 and it only comes in 5l, and the Skyline only takes about 4.6l. Always a little bit left over. lol just don't pour it into the water feed. Also, make sure your horozontal feed is not dead flat, rotate the core so the feed is on and angle to prevent pockets of air sitting inside the core.

maybe your base timing is way out? I'd check that to be sure, and look for any vac leaks.

I can't do the tracert's here at work for security reasons but I can tell you that its no faster at work (using a completely different ISP) than at home. I'll do a few tracerts tonight and let you know. Maybe it is the Internode servers? But why is everything else quicker? Strange one this one.

thats strange, as I have almost the same setup, but with a smaller turbo rear. That wavey line looks dodgey. Are the AFR's staying safe while it is doing that? Is the fuel pump healthy? You'll need to test your pressures.

dude, thats the same turbo as me. (GT3037) I make 15psi by 3900rpm in second gear. The bigger rear must give it a bit more lag hey? Also, can you list your supporting mods? I make just over 300rwkw at 18psi on this turbo.

there is no boost cut Its a flow cut, the more air, the more damage can be caused, so the ECU protects the engine. You have a factory ECU and AFM which are guaranteed to be the problem. If that link didn;t work, then at the top right hand corner, there is a button called "search", I suggest you use it because this problem is covered about once a day.
