  1. have a look on greenline for a D-Jetro Stay away from Nengun, because IF they have them then you'll end up waiting 10 years.
  2. mine was having a fit because the loom plug wasn't tight enough. I tightened it about 5 times before it bottomed out. Tighten it RIGHT UP lol
  3. about time someone mentioned AFM's and map sensors. Everyone thinks they sound like crap, so why put on on? They drive me crazy. Nothing beats a nice turbo spool note, and no whoosh afterwards.
  4. it just f**ks up the engine running properly and gains nothing. Why bother?
  5. just make sure you're starting off on low boost like 7psi or something
  6. that second dyno run (315rwkw) is horrible mate Here is mine on my tune, with a GT3037 on a mainline dyno.
  7. ATMO when you don't need it, is for wankers. You want to keep creating a bad image for all other skyline owners, go ahead. I'll sell mine and buy something thats image hasn't been f**ked in the ass by a whole heap of try hards. I have a 300rwkw Skyline and I'm still running the factory BOV. Why? Because the car doesn't stall, the cops don't hear it, and so I don't look like a wanker. Seriously, when was the last time chicks came running out flashing their tits and vaginas trying to get into your car because they heard the sound of your BOV? 98% of people that hear it think you're a try hard wanker. That is the complete truth. No one cares that your car goes whoosh and backfires everytime you change gears.
  8. VCT is also on both series one and two engines.
  9. is your engine built? I have a Q45, its not bad but I have heard rumours that they run out of scope at 350rwkw. Sell your Standard AFM Powerfc, and buy a D Jetro one for $1250 - there is someone on the forum here selling them for about this much.
  10. sounds like a surge prone sort of turbo. My guess with a "59 trim" and a largish front wheel, it could be. hhmmm My GT3037 is just a little bit bigger than those specs, so this could be closer to a 2835 or something like that, but I wouldn't expect it to perform as well. Maybe expect about 230rwkw at the most?
  11. Hey, I saw a guide someone linked here about running in an engine on the dyno, and why its a good idea etc. has anyone got the link? I can't find it from a few searches. Thanks
  12. or maybe the engine was built with low compression? What compression was the engine built at? What readings are you getting on the tester? Also, as someone else said - what were the compressor wheels like?
  13. It sure is. Been running it like this for about 18 months now, and its showing no signs of giving up. Compression test proved this, and its still happy, even after a few hits of detonation due to my water meth kit running out.
  14. Reliability and performance come as one. You don't want it to detonate, but run good on fuel. Took me a while, but I got 300rwkw without pinging etc, on a nice lean mixture. There is no such thing as a "fuel ecomony tune and a performance tune" because performance tunes are fuel economical when you don't drive it hard.
  15. I run a GT3037 56 trim and 0.63 rear. Car made 300rwkw with 18psi of boost, and the torque curve was the best I have seen. Hit 700nm at 3,000rpm and stayed like that to the limiter. I had water methanol injection though. I'd be looking at a GT3037 with a 52 trim and a 0.63 rear. That should land you 250rwkw easily, and maybe with a little more when you need it. (oh, and you will, trust me)
  16. I've had quite a few offers at the full price, so no more "Will you take $400" etc. Line up if this falls through.
  17. lol no, Just letting everyone know that this WASN'T my engine, but an engine that I bought from someone that blow theirs. I got it cheap, and the HEad is in excellent condition (ported etc)
  18. are you two serious about splitting? If so, arrange something and I will let you split them. As long as both of you pay, then I'll post.
  19. well, they covers aren't Series Dependant, so series one or two. I won't split unless BOTH parties have paid me in full. There is no way in hell that I want to get stuck with half a set. Whoever buys the whole set gets preference over a split set.
  20. in Japan it is.. and running the suspension too low means there is no travel, its rough as guts, and scrub the guards..
  21. I have this kit too, and the above post is correct, the car handles so much better than ANY coilover kit. oh, and DON'T change Sydneykids height settings. If you go any lower it will completely f**k the ride. I did, and I regretted it, lifted it back to how it came from SK and ride was 100 times better.
