ok how much $$$ would you reckon: turbo ecu turbo injectors exhaust manifold turbo oil and water lines crossover pipe turbo inlet pipe (inc plumb back and breatherpipes) bov FMIC kit and how hard is it to change ignition timing cause i can get a rb25det for about $2000 btw thanks for all the advice so far

And will I be able to put a series 2 in my series 1??? Btw I have read the how to turbo your na so please don't add the link how to turbo your na

Hey all I know this questions probably been asked a million times but... I'm doing a swap between my rb25de for the rb25det yes I know I can put a turbo on the rb25de with changing compression and all that but I don't want to be restricted in hp or anything else... No I don't want to just sell my car and buy the turbo version I like the kit I got and it was a birthday present from the wife so yeah can't change the car... I want/need to know exactly: what is different? what I will need? what I can keep from the rb25de and put in/on the det everything! I plan to buy a complete engine but if I can get away with just buying the engine and other needed parts separately (only if it turns out cheaper obviously lol) then I'd do that any help on this would be great! Thanks

Ah seems like nothing to worry about I'm gonna swap the engine for a rb25det and was worried that the brakes might be weaker then the non turbo one cheers for the info helped alot

well when i went to buy new pads i took the old ones with me and check with 2 different stock brakes for the r33 and there was no way id get either into the caliper! 1 was more of a square shape and the other was the same but way too short while the maximas was long and thin (banana shaped). the calipers i have are 2 pistons i dont know about the r33 and if thats different i was thinking it may of been a kill switch cause it everytime it would sound like it was struggling with fuel but im not sure. and birds i ment when i was parked and i shut the door that it would stall lol

is maxima brakes an upgrade or is it someone just being cheap???

Ok I was changing my brake pads in my s1 r33 non turbo and I find out that my front brakes are actually from a maxima any reason why someone would put them on a skyline??? Also I was having a really bad power lose going over bumps (or when shutting car door lol) find out that it's one of the ecu wires have been cut and join back together with 2 pieces of wire any reason why someone would cut the wire in the first place??? I think this might be a bit off topic but here goes first funny enough wasn't in a skyline it was in "92 magna...(shame lol) first car I owed I'd get pulled over for random breath test 7... yes that's 7 time during friday night sat and Sunday it had nothing done to it besides a single 12"sub and 2 6x9 speakers I got pulled over for not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign and he had a go at me for the way I sat in the car (back of seat on a diagonal..) let me off without a ticket lucky enough... Again in the magna parked in front of a takeaway store with no houses in close hearing range got told my stereo was too loud (on 12 with the att button on) I then turned it down to 6 (begging to god that I don't hit it the wrong way as att cancels) I was then told to turn it down even further... I could barely hear and I was in the car..... Next up my skyline I was stalked through slacks creek (I was looking for an import wrecker) I say stalked as they could seem to always be going the opposite way, finally when they do I get pulled over for a "random" breath test licence check and a visual inspection... Skyline again got pulled over for on the way home from getting my cat installed when I get pulled over left in direct sunlight for half an hour while he checked my details then continue to tell me that my steering wheel isn't legal due to having no cushioning the the middle... and My bonnet isn't legal due to it's fibreglass and the only fibreglass bonnets are allowed on lancers as they come stock (I don't know if that's true but I do doubt it) once again didn't book me but he did break the wire to my bonnet pins. Ok I drive a r33 with a veilside kit non turbo going down the warrego highway and a police car was parked stopping traffic before a turn off I'm in the right hand lane not sure as to what is happening I slowed down and stopped the female officer comes over yelling at me say "what didn't you see the cop car in the middle of the road" I slowly quietly stated that I was unaware of what was going on and didn't want to cause any problems. she then yells her reply saying "isn't it bloody obvious?" then storms off and clears a path, although it wasn't a bright move on my behalf in the first place (in my defense I had been working from 6pm to 6am and just wanted to get home) she shouldn't have gone off her tree at me and not say anything at all to the 4 other cars that were behind me doing the exact same... Finally... Lol I don't know if this helps but it's my experiences with the boys in blue
