its for catching the evapoative co and fuel vapor... if you remove, you can get in a fair bit of shit with the epa

not sure about down there mate, but up in QLD, you can do an engine conversion, provided that the new engine was available in the same model of car, and you do the relevant brake and suspension upgrade... not sure how it would equte between a 2 door (gtr) and a 4 door (gts4) though. i know one thing if i had a spare 30k, this thread would be closed sharpish

people taht are outside the industy are sooooo naive. an automotive mechanice is a very proffesional, skilled job. We have to know a lot of stuff, from physics side of things, right through to binary code, and priority messaging systems. Just because Bob down at the local servo is a yobbo, doesnt mean there aren't proffesionals in the business. And yes, for the amount of knowledge we have to carry around, the pay is absolute crap. sorry if that came off a bit harsh, i just get sick of hearing about how un-proffessional mechanics are

thats right.... your output shaft is spinning a lot faster, hence, greater frequency

straight cut gear set... put your car in reverse, you will hear the same noise

Hydraulic Lifters to suit r32 gtst must be in good condition, no rattle's please pm.

mate, the incomplete head, does it have lifters in it, and what sort of condition are they in? ie. not rattling or leaking down? would you be willing to sell them seperatly, and for how much. Cheers

and that has what to do with anything.... you shouldnt be 'in' boost on the highway anyways.... you need load to produce boost.... if you are maintaining a constant speed, you will be in vacuum

its illegal to have a mechanical fuel pressure or oil temp guage in the cabin of the car... its not illegal to have them mounted somewhere externally... ie... under bonnet, on bonnet (if they dont obstruct view etc etc)
