That compatable list is for NZ new only .. its the bit at the bottom for Imports which says reasearch is on going and no evidence to date has been found that harms your engine .. ( its new and they dident have a clue if it was good or not is my thought ) Well 3 years after its launch and its still here and gull havent yet made it to " fair go " i guess it must be OK Yep i would agree your 04 is nay on identical to the 01 set up in the V35 .. unless Japan changed the fuel hoses and pumps and injectors seals from 04 onwards.. which would make no sence .. Damit .. wait till we eventually drive around in Water powered cars ... now do i use bottled water or tap water ??!!

Ive had a good sit and play with a V36 Sedan - very NICE .. quite different inside - Electric's everywhere !! nice Sat nav info built in screen , electric adjustable steering wheel column - parking camera in the door mirror , the list goes on !! the engine had 2 AFM's / air boxes too - was the VQ35 ..

I cant see how the E10 fuel would be a disadvantage in the DD engines ? why would a high pressure system be affected with a 10% ethanol mix .. your right in the carb issue though with gumming but as you say the DD is a high pressure setup and gumming would not be possible. I think its the " im not sure factor " because its new .. well not really its been here since 07 and im sure if it was as bad as some say it would have been off the shelf by now .. Thanks for the info ive taken a look on the anycar site - looks interesting , ive noticed the guy selling them in china is offering 12 months warranty but the Chc guy is only 90 days ? odd .. I would really like the deck to show the ipod name and track , thus really making the pod redundant in using , other wise i would have to get like the G35 side trim cradle and ipod holder to mount and see the pod . I was thinking of mounting the ipod in the armrest and docking it with the apple universal dock - run the cable through the center consule and read the info on the deck - BUT i have to find a double din facia 1st , Chris has quoted me $750 AUD and direct from japan to me , a lot of coin and way more than the deck i ws looing at , so ive mailed a guy in the states who sell them for about $400 kiwi which includes the A.C controler .. these are OE facia's . will see how it turns out Jusy changed the oil on the stag today .. pretty easy to get too , heaps of room round the oil filter - used a HKS oil filter and 5 L of magnatech oil ... and the Air filter ..what a bugger to get out !! bugger all room to slide the filter out when you unclip the 4 clips , filter looked like it hadent been changed in years abd i can see why they dident bother to get it out !! has a nice new HKS filter slotted in now

Good to know i think aussie has specific days too when gas is cheaper ..well in melbourne anyway so my mate tell me ..lets hope it catches on more here !! being out west i normally use the Gull New lynn or henderson stations .

Thanks for the heads up on the face plate , ive been searching all night and still cant find any one mention it .. ill give Chris a Pm , but also interested on the Anycar solution too .. Kiwi Thread is a good idea , like you say specific events and experiences on our own patch The Gull gas , yep its the Bio fuel stuff .. smells a lot different while the engines running and the tail pipes are a lot cleaner too . I did call Team nissan , Takapuna and henderson nissan about the gas 1st and none of them seemed to know anything about bio fuel .. spoke with the service receptions .The henderson guy said " oh Ethonal fuel - that should go well " hmmm i figured its been here a long while now and no issues , yes past google reports said not sure / dont know if you can use it but i havent had a issue in the last 7 k of using it . And when i fill up theres all sorts of cars at the pumps and all years .. i guess by now if it was BAD we would have heard something Conclusion for me is , cleaner burn fuel - cheaper thn BP and Mobil 98 ( use your countdown voucher & even cheaper ) , stops pinking and goes well ..oh and is mixed down at the mount

Hey , Dont know about you but i see guys look at you in the car parks and highways as to say " what is that car ' Lol it really does suit my size issue i had for my dogs without going hilux size , its comfy , quiet and they are stylish , thought about a E39 BMW touring but are smaller in the back. One thing im not too keen on though is the Auto box in Tip tronic .. doesent seem to be instant. Ive just seen the Anycar on TM and this could be a nice alternative , was thinking of running the ipod cable through the tunnel to the arm rest , buying a universal apple dock for the pod to sit in .. this would only really work though if the song plays came up on the screen of the OE deck though .. Very very interested in anymore info you have on it did the guy say the deck needs to come out to install this ? thats my only concern is dismantling all that consule area to get to the back of the deck !! I cant see the brand Anycar on the net though .. no official website. On the gas subject ,when i 1st got the car a guy was filling up his stag in the forecourt and he was using 91 !! asked him if it was Ok and he said it was , dident fancy the idea myself though .. 95 was bad enough .. There should be a Kiwi section for M35 and V35 owners me thinks

Hey guys , just noticed this thread while doing a search for stero's from the Stagea thread i normally look on - and found all this kiwi chat ive had my stagea now for about 4 months and love it , heaps of room for my two Golden Retreivers in the back . The car is a 2.5 non turbo M35 S1 Axis model - im lucky if i see 1 stag a week on the roads , rare which keeps them special Anyway been looking for a Double din conversion face plate as ive been looking to change the stereo so i can play my ipod and control it through the head unit , not having much luck .. got quoted $600 for the face plate which incorporates the A/C unit , mine is the non bose and no sat nav - and yes agree to get the stacker out looks to be a mission !! on the gas note earlier in the thread - mine pinked a little on 95 ron so changed to Gull 98 - cleaned out all the crap i think , tail pipes look near soot free and goes very well now , been using it for the last 7k and no issues , so can only asume the gull has cleaned out the carbon build up issue good kiwi thread

Dident think of that issue , maybe right . I know the iPods dont fit in the apple dock bases with covers on either , i have a rubber cover on my classic and it wont fit in my Yamaha HT dock with its protective cover on We have the metal roads here too and try to avoid the best i can .. thats dust gets places you will be seeing for months !! Ill give it a go anyways and let you know how it goes ..

" The interface we use for the Infiniti G35s is capable of interfacing with sat radios(what most people sell) as well as non sat radios (like you have). You would access the iPod by pressing the "cd" or "disc" button. You will be able to keep your in dash cd functionality as well. We haven't been able to test with your type car directly as it's not available in the states but it looks just like the early G35s we have worked on. As with all our products if you aren't satisfied with it then it can be returned in like new condition within 30 days for a full refund less shipping costs."

Things are looking good thanks for that , ive sent them a mail . Does your Deck have the " Disc ' button or the CD / CHG button ? you said before yours was a double din non Bose and no factory SAT and you got the USA spec to work .

Thanks mate yep its silver .. was a bugger to find though , i thought i might have had more luck finding a Gold nugget in the middle of a downtown sidewalk !! Yep NZ is ripe with jap imports but the new shape stagea is still quite rare

Damit you have thrown a spanner in the works !! that looks like the trick though , very neat in the Ash tray I think though if you want the Head unit to operate the ipod controls then its this one ash tray full option They dont mention the need for a SAT button or CD.CHG button , do you think it still applies like the USA SPEC one ? or its a cert working fit on my deck ? Hi Jamie , Thanks for the welcome I have the non turbo 2wd model , no i dont think the Turbo was out in 2wd either. After driving the Sti for a few years i just wanted something that was roomy , comfortable and not a turbo , done the Turbo thing now for years , i guess im getting older !! I really wanted the 3.0 Axis but was even harder to find so after a test drive settled on the 2.5 Its quite responsive , gets to 120 with ease and is good off the lights , not a rocket mind like the Sti but is more than enough. The gas i was worried about being a big car and only 2.5 but after a fill of 95 Ron i got 650Kms to the tank , i think thats pretty good for all round driving Cheers james

Hey Guys .. gee thanks , wealth of info here and idea's , glad i asked 1st . So Nick you have the 6 changer non bose like me and it works !!, but you say the CD/CHG botton is important .. i dont have this but do have " DISC " button on the top left of the deck .. is this the same thing as the CD/CHG button ? The guys at USA spec seem to think if i press the CD button twice it will work in external changer mode but they have no garantee's. I really want to keep the OE deck for looks wise to keep it clean on the eye. If you guys think my DISC button will do the trick ill place my order with them Also looking at this ipod classic cradle and this Dash specific mount , yes its LHD but with the ball socket on the cradle you can tilt it to the RH side. Hi Andy , I wonder if Iamhe77 had a SAT button on his deck as this is what USA spec are saying you need if this is to work , i dont have Sat nav nor steering wheel buttons . They list the Infinity G35 which has the same deck as ours .. Is your ipod connected directly to your head unit asuming you have a factory head deck and running a LCD screen ? cheers james

Hey , Has any one used the " USA SPEC ' PA15 - NIS modulator for connecting your Ipod to the standard Double Din head unit ( non bose ) on the 02 on models ? Ive looked on there site http://usaspec.com/product.php?ProductID=3...ceShowProduct=1 Seems you have to have a SAT button for these to work apparantly after emailing them and my model does not have Sat Nav. Any Ideas ? Or any other ideas of connecting your Ipod without changing the head unit or using one of those Fm modulators ? cheers guys

Hey guys , just want to say hi !! Just got myself a 2002 Axis 2.5 2wd and loving it . Been the owner of a 2001 STI Wagon for a few years , needed something bigger for my 2 dogs and what better than a Stagea .. man they are huge !! Havent looked back , smoother more comfy, quiet and seems to be of good build Quality. Really wanted the Axis and what a mission to find one for sale .. Cheers James
