  1. Ta Kimbod, I'm still comg to grips dealing with the power of of a mill less than 4 litres ! Way different to the big Wedges (V8's) i've had before........ a whole lot more tech too ! Jim
  2. Thanks Brendan, I'm still messin' my dacks every time I turn the key & hear the burble.....and the exhaust is still stock ! Cheers Jim
  3. Ta Scotty, you're right, I can't wait to get some bucks to start buying some bits for this thing............It's just occurred to me that motorbikes are cheaper ....... Glad I didn't have to sell my old 2 wheeled iron to get my "R" !! Cheers Jim
  4. Thanks for the tip Gohan, good to keep on record but for now Sam's the man. He was great......he was way overloaded with work but he still managed to slot me in and I had the car in a couple of days. Really nice bloke too.Totally professional. Proximity wise he's fairly close to where I live too. cheers & beers Jim
  5. Thanks Sam, you are the ONLY one who will be putting their hands on this car (Except me). I have Ian to thank for referring me to you and I'm totally satisfied. Dr Drift is the man only man in Melbourne...........I'll be back! Thanks again Jim
  6. Many thanks Vish, hope you get your wish ...... It took me a while go get the cash and the right car just fell into my lap ! Good luck in you quest. I'm still new to all this..........always had big ol' motorbikes and big Yank Cubic inches but this is great. As a newie to all this the guys in this forum like yourself have been really pleasant to me and I've been doing a lot of reading and there's so much information here and I've been inhaling the knowledge from all the gurus who know these cars backwards. I have a lot to learn. Cheers & thanks for the note! regards Jim
  7. Thanks mate, I'm gettin' cramps in my jaw from smiling Terry ! I think I'm smilin' in my sleep ! You're bang on my friend. Jim
  8. Wow......I think I just got motivated Johnny! Your car looks great with all the skirts etc. I wish I had a self inflating wallet to go and buy all these cool bits! Thanks for the comment and it's a great forum...... you guys are really great to yak too. Theres a lot of knowledge in here for a newie like me to inhale. Cheers & beers Jim
  9. Yeah ......quite a few few heads have told me you can get quite a bit more response out of these when they "Breathe" better ! After me and my wallet recover from the buy that's probably one of the first things I'll look at. Cheers Jim
  10. You guessed right SS8_Gohan, from the good ol' USA. My cousin is a classic car dealer there and tried to start a cult following on these but no go so I bit the bullet and told him to send it! As far as price I cant say here and I haven't had 10 posts yet so I can't send PM's yet but I'll PM you on that at a later date. Cheers Jim
  11. Thanks Ten, I'm not going to smoke you on the BAR wheels (I like 'em too) It's your preference, horses for courses.....all personal taste. Funny thing though, had it not come with the Volk wheels I was gonna put 'em on anyway !!! Cheers Jim
  12. Thanks FrangaR33. At the moment I'm going to leave the exterior exactly as is, I can't see a reason to change anything. Once I get spare folders I might put a few " persuasive parts" under the bonne just for a bit more nudge. To be brutally honest, with the suspension kit that's already on it and 18" X 10" wheels all round it drives like a dream. Cheers & beers Jim
  13. Thanks a ton god_speed, I gave it a fang today and even bog standard factory spec, no mods whatsoever she goes like a space shuttle ! Cheers & Beers, Jim
  14. Thanks Danny, thanks for the message. I'm as happy as a cop in the proverbial !!!!!!! As for as mods go I have to let the wallet re-inflate itself, it was really a tough time to buy this thing and I really took a big hit buying it but it is so original apart from the wheels and only has 65K on the clock I just HAD to have it. Being un-modded I can at least do it how I want to and not have to remove or replace somebody else's preferences but as they say all good things happen in time. I know all it's history too and actually bought it in from the USA.........my cousin is a classic car dealer there, Shelby Mustangs, Hemi 'Cudas, Corvettes etc and all that American muscle stuff but het stumbled on this and offered it to me. The leader of the opposition (wife) was not too impressed but she figures at least it's not another woman so it's cool. (Mind you....I'll probably spend more money on the R34 than the other fictitious woman!) Hope to hear from you again soon, Cheers & beers Jim
