The V Series Spotted Thread
scarf replied to funkymonkey's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Saturday night, saw a silver v35 coupe infront of hotel in Sydney CBD. Was dressed up as a wedding car. -
mate, well done. Looks great.

I was being smart with the 'piss weak' comment. But even with hamstring tears, there is a component of weakness within the tendon. ie it could not withstand the force that was being put onto it, which resulted tearing of muscle and/or tendon fibres. The above sternum injury sounds like an enthesiopathy. It can still be classified as an over-use injury.

just means you were doing the exercise wrong, over-training or your piss weak.

have to admire your project. Seriously amazing.

Until last week I've always driven in D and very occasioanlly in DS. And when in DS I would let the computer change gears as doing it with the paddles would result in a delay that would sort of throw the car forward. So for 1 week I have had it in DS all the time and have been manually shifting. I can say now that the shifts are very quick. The delay and the resultant forward lunge has seriously gone. This was my biggest whinge about the car, but Im loving it now. Another observation is that the v36 can hold it with an audi S5. Dont know how, but it can.

i went 35% and its a big difference to how it was. It cost $150

theres a guy on zclub.com that had the TT kit from GTM installed into his 370z. There was a significant amount of refabrication. Also he mentioned that he went for the smallest turbo's GTM had, and he found the turbo lag excessive, and thats with the 3.7L. Also problems with oil and H2O temps occured. He had a workshop in melbourne do the install. Properly setup, I couldnt see much change out of 15-20K.

thought it started off good. R34 in the background with 2 guys talking casually. The R34 GTR took too much attention away from your R31. Your car should have been in the R34s place. The vid didnt deliver in that you both talk about how wild it is, but you drove it like a grandma. I could barely hear anything exciting when you drove it. The video for me didnt show off the paint quality either, which Im sure in real-life would be awasome.

Infiniti Coming To Our Shore
scarf replied to FlyingEL's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I think its a factory kit with front lip, side skirts and rear spoiler. Ive seen others on my37.com with the same one. I just got back from the states and everything is cheaper, however average wage would be lower. The only item I can think of that was similar to Aus was the iPad. Shoes I bought were 50% cheaper. laptops, cameras, cam-corders (which I also purchased) approx 40% less. Going to the movies on a normal night is $10. The one thing that got me the most was paying for the road toll from Ft Lauderdale to Miami Florida. Im use to paying $3-$5 in sydney..........over there $0.25 cents. And let me say their 6 lane highways (in each direction) shit all over the M2, M4, M5 etc. Just on the side. Ive had the battery disconnected for 3 months, and definitely there was an improvement in throttle response etc with the ecu reset. It felt very quick. Even the response from the paddles was slightly better. -
Infiniti Coming To Our Shore

80K + on raod costs to me is too steep for the G37. Your looking at the nearside to 90K. There are better local offerings, or more attractive cars in the 2nd hand market. I bought mine for 47K with sunroof and bodykit for a Dec 2008 build. At this price there was nothing to compare it to with the same level of equipment. -

did you consider the AMG C63? -
Nice guys, but I got dicked around by them. Tried to spin me a load of crap to sell me another car, but I just went elsewhere.

hope you end up with one.

For some reason I have a feeling I was going to buy the car your driving. The 370gt I bought wasnt even advertised. It was the owners wife's car. The only other one I found last year on carsales was in perth and at the time they were wanting 59K for it. And yes the 5spd did feel sportier.

All those figures sound about right to me. The 3 yr warrenty is a joke. The only worthy warrenty I beleive is the intial 3 months which the dealer themselves must act on. After that issues with the car have nothing to do with the dealer and the warrenty belongs to a third party. There are a lot of restrictions.

first I heard of this. Just read up on it. I would say the G37 would be more expensive than the 370z? So around 60-70K. Always liked the v36 b/c it was different, but that will come to an end.

Got it from International motor group- lidcombe sydney. They import and comply. I was about to buy a 2007 model and got screwed over and was put onto Gavin from IMG. Mine is also a 370Gt P- but came with body kit, and sunroof. For me it was worth the extra amount (10K) as the car was immaculate- very low kms. I also run it through our business so everything is a tax deduction, and claim back the GST upfront. The interior has been changed slightly- the 2007 model I saw had peeling from the interior door handle and gear knob. The 2008 does not use this material anymore in these areas. The exterior paint also seems to be different- possibly thicker and softer? It somehow 'seals' over shallow scratches. Plus a newer engine and gearbox. The 3.5L and 5 spd auto are also very nice and many prefer the 5 spd over the 7spd.

have to agree worst part of car is not having an LSD, but you can get a quaife lsd. Also to note, the 335i/135i also dont' have an lsd. Next worst thing is everything being in japanese and non functional gps. Also to add onto M34N. Ive got a late 2008 v36 with the 3.7L and 7spd. Using paddle shifts in upshifts are not fast enough. Downshifting with paddles perfect and rev matching I love. If in DS mode and not using paddles, the computer shifts perfectly. Driving position, comfort, interior quality and exterior finish are very good. test drove a 2009 sedan 335i and a 2010 audi S4 before purchase. The 335i lacks space in back seat, and has heavy steering at low speeds. Interior is not as nice as the v36. Cost was 98K. The S4 was nicer than both 335i and v36. With the differential option (which is what makes the car so good in handling) cost was 148K. The v36 is an absolute bargain.

Greddy Evo2 Dual Vs Hks Hi Power Dual
scarf replied to WeaponV35's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Fast intentions is huge in the states. plenty using them on their g35s and g37s. have a look at myg37.com -
sounds like a nice job you've done. have you adapted a GPS system in a car with rear and side camera already? Im having a guess it would be difficult to integrate the existing camera setup to the new screen?
