How much do those cost a tire? And ten four i did floor it in a straight line its no bs, the car badly pulls to the left and the left tire is most badly worn, and let me tell yu it was pising down. thats why it shocked me so bad wen the rear slipped out.

But i was just going in a straight line? I thought oversteer only occured during corneres?

Harey like I was controlling the rear tires fine when they were sinking down to accelerate. It was just when the auto transmission changed gear that the rear flung out. I think Silvia + Auto, = neever ever floor it in the wet, regardless of the tires, I've completely lost confidence. What made it worse was the wheels being badly out of alignment, and worn down rear tires Edit: the tires bought by the lady cost $143, is that expensive for 225 width tires

Hey guys, I'll describe exactly what happened, i floored the throttle at 40-45kmh, and i felt the rear end sink down, then i hit around 60-65kmh, (due to change to 2nd gear) i lost traction completely and the rear end suddenly flung out to the left (which means i was heading the direction of median strip to the right), i then took foot of accelerator and steered to the left, and then to say in my lane steered back to the centre direction which caused me to fish tail furthur, then i just slammed on the breaks and bogged the weight down to the front end, as i thought i could most traction by doing this (weight of the engine etc) and i came to a stop pointing dead straight.

i stayed in my lane even though i lost traction. so i believe i did okay considering it was the first time something like this has ever happened to me. However I do plan on doing a training course once i get the money. Well the car is booked in for a service on thursday and a wheel alignment next week.....so kinda was planning to replace the tires ?

My car pulls to the left when i let go of the steering wheel.. it has been doing this since i bought it, and its gradually getting worse. so i think that may have been a contributer unfortunately. ie bad wheel alighnment. uncle said the left tire is the worst one. wen the rear slipped out the car headed to the "Right" direction so is what i did the corectt thing, i corrected the steering to go in the opposite direction to wat the car was heading then slammed on the breaks?

it is actually a non turbo. with a blitz access ecu. the tyre tread on the inside has been down since i got the tires. my uncle who is a mechanic said to me the other day if he had to do a rego check he'd fail them. they are some no name brand that cost $143 a pop, looked at the service papers and theyve done around 10,000km's. I never actually thought a car could attempt to spin out while going straight :S! yeahhh i drove 65kmh home the whole way home. =( the scariest part was coming a few centimetres from the median strip, which could of resulted in me rolling my car...i am guesing . gosh i am so ratled up

So i was cruising at around 45km/h in a 80 zone due to being stuck behind a learner driver, outside the roads are very wet due to a downpour. I switch lanes and start going straight and floor my car to get past (in a hurry to get home), and anyway i am going straight and suddenly at 65kmh my car changes into 2nd gear and the rear end slips out and i began acqua planning, so i breaked hard and then corrected the steering wheel the opposite way, and slowed down to a stop. the car literally went like a rubber band sideways. i suspect there to be something wrong with the wheel alighnment, i was going dead straight i am incredibly rattled up :S. plz dont label me a hoon i am sure u all wud of got a bit frustrated being stuck behind a learner for 15 mins ( wen it was only one lane).....it then merged into two lanes so i took the oportunity to get past. . i am terrrified of driving my car now? I am almost crying due to the experience.

I was driving in Sydney in my Silvia and i'm pretty sure it has lowered springs, because it sits rather low, and 3 cops cars went past and looked at my car and kept driving . they didnt even pull me over to check if it was turbo, due to the imaculate condition of my Silbeeeeeeeeeer!!!!!!!

yeah exactly. ( i agree with the sarcasm in ur post). Oh by the way skylinesaustralia my car is being serviced on Thursday next week, I have set $300 aside from picking up drinks at the nightclub. I booked it in mainly because I was stuck in peak hour traffic in sydney yesterday, and whilst the car was idling it kinda like had a lil jump in the engine ocaisonly, and also when i took of a few times it wasn't taking off smoothly. I suspect it to be in need of new spark plugs, as it has been 11,000km's since work has been done on it. I also ordered the crank seal from Nissan to fix up the small oil leak, cost me $27.50 D: thats 2.5 hours hard work D: . i orded it wewsnday and they stil havent rung me to say its in!
