  2. Take the car to an engineer. They have a db meter to do the test. I always thought the exhaust had to be under a certain db and 3/4 throttle. If it is classed as legal by the engineer the epa or the govening body should let you off. The other option is to get a silencer (a bit you stick in the end of the exhaust) whilst you are having it tested. I dont know the rules that well, but I'm sure there are a number of people who have had the same issue. All we need now is for them to offer some advise.   4. You would get more than 160. I saw a dead stock RB25 put put 150 last night only 20000kms on the clock.. You would get about 180 odd with those mods I reckon. Might be just a very fresh engine.
  5. Also peak power was made at 5700 which I think is a little low? Its an intersting feeling having someone rev the shit out of your engine. I wouldn't say it was good but hell it was fun.
  6. Had my first dyno run last night. 144rwkw which was what I was realistically aiming at, but thought it could be a bit higher. I have the following mods 3inch zorst, air filter, HKS EVC, R34 turbo, stock front mount. After having serious issues with my afm over recent months, my car was running as doughy as it has ever been driving out to to the place. No bottom or top end power, really bad idle etc etc. This was shown on the dyno by my A/F mixtures getting as high as 14.4 at one stage then making peak power of 144 at 13a/f. I have no doubt that I could have made 155-160 if the car was running fine. My question is due to the lean conditions can the stock computer retard the timing after reading from the AFM as a safety precaution? My fuel pump seems pretty strong so I dont know if it is this either. Even the dyno person said the car was really flat up top. Any help would be great like to sort this out fairley shortly.   11. I beleive they have different turbo flanges.
  12. With 2 turbos on, wouldn't the only thing that would change be the volume of air not psi. 2 turbos pumping out 12psi would still be 12psi but the volume of air would be almost double. Correct me if I'm wrong. Doc
  13. You mean a GTB4. There is only like 5 of these around. I dont think you would see one for sale as a couple of them are in museums. Maybe it was a GTS4 4 door engine conversion.
  14. Aluminiium is so much lighter. I reckon by the time you do all of the piping you would save close to 15kgs. I have an exhaust place doing some research for me. Let you know how I go.

  19. 7-9psi is dead stock. Approx 11psi with exhaust, pod ect. My car car made just over 11psi at the plenum. Your fuel pump will be ok to handle this sought of pressure but will need to be upgeaded when you want to run a bigger turbo or 14+psi. Doc

  22. it wouldn't be a worthwhile uprgrade. Save the $500 and buy a HKS or similiar turbo. Doc
  23. I think it is caused by you putting 2 bottles of octane booster every yank. Excessive octane booster can stuff your plugs. Take them out and if they are white that is the problem. Doc
